We got here very late in the day, the donut selection was very small. We did get a dozen donut holes and two apple fritters. We ate the donut holes right away and wished we would have gotten 2 dozen. We saved the fritters for the next morning and they were still delicious. What we will remember is the coffee. She asked if we wanted cream and sugar. We both said yes, I got a small my husband got a large and they were both perfect. When she didn't ask how much cream and sugar and just handed them to us though I would end up pouring it out. Yes, it was another day of weakness, and it seems more times than not, when I have these momentary lapses in judgement, my choice is usually a donut or three. This small location just North of Anothy Wayne Trail on Conant, happened to be in the area where I was running early morning errands. Just my day, right? Upon entering the store, there was no inside seating available, and large plexiglass sheets separating people working behind the counter from the patrons. There was a line up at the counter, but Mama C's had adequate staffing to keep 3 lines moving rather quickly. Their donuts are nice and light, not greasy, decent size, and not too much glaze. Mama C's has a good selection available as well - making for a difficult decision. The price is very fair for what you receive. I know I will be back if I have another impulse moment wanting to splurge for donuts when in the downtown Maumee area. Well done! read more

I have a huge appreciation for coffee shops that are open before 7am, I even do an internal happy dance when it's a family-owned coffee with amazing coffee and pastries. I did a great happy dance at Mama C's today. PROs: This was my first time there and I thought Mama C was really sweet and attentive. There were a lot of delicious pastries there and I went with the sugar doughnut with raspberry filling( that's really my favorite pastry). I was hoping to get a latte but there wasn't any so I got a small pumpkin spiced cappuccino instead and my!!!!. Everything came to $2.45 which I thought was really affordable. CONs: The only downside for me is that there isn't a lot of variety with the coffee menu but honestly I would go there again for that cappuccino. Would definitely 10/10 recommend! read more

Delicious donuts, surprisingly good coffee, including iced. I'm partial to the cherry cake donuts and apple fritters, despite usually being a chocolate-only kind of donut customer. They have at least one full case of glazed and another of cake donuts at any given time, plus giant cinnamon roll-looking things and donut holes and such. And the donuts are still just 99¢ each, which is shocking when I'm used to seeing $4+ Sugar Shack-esque donuts at home in DC. Plus it's just off the turnpike, so you don't even have to be going to or staying in Maumee or Toledo to partake. A perfect New York-Chicago snack stop. read more

I woke up today craving blueberry donuts. Went on yelp to see what was around me that wasn't a chain or franchise. Called up Mama C's and asked what they had and when I heard blueberry I was sold. When I got to the shop, it was definitely not very glamorous on the outside or inside. I ordered a half dozen for $5 and let me say it was well worth it.
