They do brunch on the weekend and the food is really good! I got the breakfast sandwich with a side of potatoes. They have couches if you want to sit and chat with your coffee. They also have tables if you would like to work a little. It's clean and comfy. They also have alcohol. Haven't tried it yet but next time I do brunch there I Will! You can also bring your own cup to fill!

I love that they make their syrups in house to give the coffee better flavor. I originally wanted a Lavender latte but they were out of the syrup. I pivoted to the Salted Caramel Latte. The beans had a good medium roast flavor to them, syrup flavor was subtle but present, but my drink could have been hotter. My husband got a Masala Chai Latte. We noticed his drink was made from a chai concentrate bought; it overall was ok. I recommend staff labeling drink cups going forward as they couldn't remember which was which after placing on the counter. Either way, this was a great coffee shop stop and offers some great seasonal options.

Myself and the Mrs have been checking out the downtown coffee scene, and so far, Sweet Nate's is our favorite. Located in the Oliver House, the look and feel of this place is outstanding. I've always had a thing for mid-century aesthetics, and Nate's has some. Their music comes primarily from a collection of vinyl records. Thumb through the 450 to 500, or so, albums, find one, take it to the barista, and they'll play it for you. Cool. By no means am I a coffee connoisseur, but I really liked their product. I ordered the "marriage latte", and my wife got a blueberry Italian soda. Both were excellent. Unlike some of the other coffee places that are located more centrally places in downtown Toledo, you'll have to walk a little ways to get to Sweet Nate's. It's worth the walk. 5 stars!

This place is so cool and comfortable. The couches are great, the plants are fantastic; even the music, cool jazz, usually, is great. The local art on the walls is perfect for this type of place. The service is friendly, fast, and accurate. The only downside, IMO, is that Earth doesn't accept cash. Not a big deal, 'cuz I got credit, baby!! I haven't eaten their food, yet, but I can't imagine the food at a coffeehouse could taint my opinion of the place. Oh, by the way, the coffee is excellent. I like strong flavors, and EC provides those in spades. Sometimes after work, I like to decompress a little. And sometimes, I need a little caffeine-laden pick-me-up to catalyze, perhaps, an evening workout. Well, EC offers a unique opportunity to do both, simultaneously! Rating? Our (2) 16oz drinks were $13 which is more expensive for the area; but, they also offer some of the most unique flavor pairings. Tip: They do charge a 3% service fee when someone uses a credit card.

I have become increasingly tired of Starbucks, but less so of other chain coffeehouses. That said, I always seek out the independent coffeehouses. Mostly, I was sold on the name (Rustbelt) of this coffeehouse in Downtown Toledo, just a few blocks from the small cluster of downtown mid-rises. Inside, it has the open floor plan with exposed ceilings up above, which works very well here and fits the industrial Rust Belt mood. The seating options were to my liking: big butcher block type tables meant to be shared, smaller tables, and upholstered seating with coffee tables. I wish I could have stayed at Rustbelt longer. It was a warm and humid summer day and I had an iced tea and a pastry. The items were tasty. The pricing was fair and the service was unremarkable, but did lean toward being good natured. Parking is available right in front along the street, should you want to keep an eye on your car. That said, I couldn't get a read on the location ... it seemed that there were other eateries and bars nearby, so maybe that meant it was okay. Also, I couldn't figure out where the customer base came from. Usually, bohemian coffeehouses have bohemian enclaves nearby where the bohemian people live. I didn't see any, or maybe I didn't look long enough. I couldn't imagine them being suburbanites. Lastly, I believe I've always seen Rust Belt spelled as two words. If they want to stylize this and go with one word, that's their prerogative. So, what you have here at Rustbelt Coffee are good tea/coffee with pastries to choose from, fair prices, decent service, and a spacious open interior plan where the climate control system was working very well. That sounds like 4 stars to me.
