I've had this place on my list to try, but it was recently bought by Sweet Nate's coffee owners. We came in and I immediately heard that sound of a vinyl record playing. This is the place. They have a great coffee menu and a lovely small food menu that has something for everyone. We sat down enjoying our coffee and one of the staff came by to check on everything. It was one of the two owners. We sat and had a great conversation of how that business come to be and how it's owned by him and his best friend from middle school. Amazing staff and wonderful owners.

This was my first time stopping into Sweet Nate's Coffee and Cafe. WOW! I am so impressed. It is my hobby to sit in and go to all different cafes and coffee shops and this place will be one I see myself continuously going back to. We stopped in and everything was so nicely decorated, greeted cheerfully as soon as we entered and the menu was laid out very nicely on the wall with all the options. The barista was SO patient as my friend and I were a bit indecisive with this being our first time in and she answered any questions we had. We ended up getting the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte which was a special for the week and the cinnamon cubano cortado. Both tasted amazing and I appreciated that they had a counter set out where you could add additional cream, sugar, cinnamon, and cocoa powder (which you cannot find a lot of places)! The coffee was a bit pricier than what I was expecting but for the environment, service, people, and taste... WORTH IT! The seating is very homey - I have been to this location when it was a previous cafe and I absolutely love what Sweet Nate's has done with the space, and it felt so homey and welcoming. I regret not trying any of the breakfast sandwiches as I saw them being brought out to individuals and they looked amazing, so I can't wait to try one of their many options! - I love that they keep their Instagram up to date as well with the weekly specials and I hope they continue to do that. Anyway, if you are in in the Toledo area or just a quick drive away do not skip out on this hidden gem of a cafe. super friendly people, get it Togo or in a glass/mug, and enjoy feeling at home while being out. So glad to have this place and so excited they are open!

Keep an eye on All Crumbs Bakery's Facebook page and website. They take online orders up until midnight Thursday for Saturday pickup, and their bread is truly incredible. It's actually a bit puzzling how good it all is. Every single thing I've tried, from their chocolate filled croissants, to their burger buns... everything they produce is perfect. It's like some sort of culinary witchcraft. In some cases, it ends up being the highlight of whatever meal the bread is paired with. The textures and flavors they produce are outstanding and surprisingly memorable. Wonderfully outstanding bread is a THING in Toledo. Grab a loaf (or roll) as soon as you can! This is hands down the best bread available in Toledo. There isn't even a close second out there. Want to know more? Great place to hang out w friends, by yourself and people watch, business meeting, do you school work, or simply have a cup of Joe. I discovered it on my first trip to Toledo and I have gone back everytime I come back. It my coffee place in Ohio.

Things to do along I-75 N/S to and from the Detroit area (1 of 2)…read more I had to spend a few days in the Detroit area and I-75, featured in black and white on Eminem's excellent Super Bowl commercial, is the route on which I'd be driving. I have become increasingly tired of Starbucks, but less so of other chain coffeehouses. That said, I always seek out the independent coffeehouses. Mostly, I was sold on the name (Rustbelt) of this coffeehouse in Downtown Toledo, just a few blocks from the small cluster of downtown mid-rises. Inside, it has the open floor plan with exposed ceilings up above, which works very well here and fits the industrial Rust Belt mood. The seating options were to my liking: big butcher block type tables meant to be shared, smaller tables, and upholstered seating with coffee tables. I wish I could have stayed at Rustbelt longer. It was a warm and humid summer day and I had an iced tea and a pastry. The items were tasty. The pricing was fair and the service was unremarkable, but did lean toward being good natured. Parking is available right in front along the street, should you want to keep an eye on your car. That said, I couldn't get a read on the location ... it seemed that there were other eateries and bars nearby, so maybe that meant it was okay. Also, I couldn't figure out where the customer base came from. Usually, bohemian coffeehouses have bohemian enclaves nearby where the bohemian people live. I didn't see any, or maybe I didn't look long enough. I couldn't imagine them being suburbanites. Lastly, I believe I've always seen Rust Belt spelled as two words. If they want to stylize this and go with one word, that's their prerogative. So, what you have here at Rustbelt Coffee are good tea/coffee with pastries to choose from, fair prices, decent service, and a spacious open interior plan where the climate control system was working very well. That sounds like 4 stars to me.

Driving up I didn't realize they had a drive thru so this place became very convenient for me. They had a great menu focused on Chicago's beef sandwich and man was it delicious. Chicago Food? That literally could mean anything! BUT…read more.. IMO, "Chicago Food" especially means deep dish pizza, Chicago dogs, Chicken Vesuvio, and ITALIAN BEEF SANDWICHES! It means a few other things too, but these top my personal list. Chicago Post Cafe does at least two of these items very well. Today, I had the Italian Beef Sandwich with hot peppers and marinade on the side. Although hard to eat (the damned things falls apart too easily), it was fantastic. I've had more than a few of these, in Chicago none the less, and this version is honestly one of the best. It's better than Portillo's, and almost as good as Johnie's. Choose your peppers...hot, mild, and/or sweet! Plan to use your fingers to get what falls off the roll, because you won't want to waste a single morsel. Drink the marinade/dip while you're at it. The menu is pretty extensive, and breakfast seems to be featured. I saw another customer's plate, and her bacon, eggs, and pancake looked incredible. The place is small and a little tight, but you can eat in-house. Only one table seats more than 2. Service was fast and friendly. Very friendly. Yeah, I am remiss. I really should be eating here more often. Strictly breakfast and lunch. 5 stars for now.
