Sign on the door at the restaurant is "open til 3 PM". We arrived at 2:42 PM and we're told, "we're closed, sorry". If your hours are listed until 3 PM, you should take customers until 2:59 PM. This is a very poor business practice. It is unprofessional and irresponsible. If you want to adjust your hours then your hours on the website and the door should be "it depends on how we feel on that particular day." We will take our business elsewhere since you obviously don't need customers. read more

After several of our acquaintances committed on the quality of the food (ie home cooking) at the Briarfield we thought we give it a try! Arrived around noon, and place was almost full. Pleasant atmosphere, clean and sanitary. Menu had an extremely large selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Next time I'll capture and post menu. They had specials posted (ss pictures). We had bacon, eggs, toast and home fries and a Farmers Omelet with hash browns. Both were excellent , note farmers omelet comes with sausage gravy mine was pictured without. They have amazing breakfast. I always have their Western Omelette & a side of bacon. My sister usually have their pancakes or french toast with sausage patties. The waitresses are always very accommodating and checking back with you in case you needed anything else. The atmosphere is very family orientated. read more

Was out and about and wanted to grab breakfast with my girlfriend. Stopped by Briarfield and was glad we did. The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. We shared one of the best cinnamon rolls I've had to date. I ordered the omelette and it could have used more cheese. The Hash browns were great. Looking forward to coming back. read more

Decent little local diner. We've visited here several times and we are usually happy with our visit. The food is usually good and sometimes very good. Ordered the Lite Fare plate...scoop of tuna, scoop of cottage cheese, and fresh fruit for $11.99. The scoops were very small and the fruit was rotten. Asked if they had fresher fruit and they said no. She had me scrape the fruit off the plate and she took it back to the kitchen. Sure hope they didn't try to re-serve the fruit. Sliced bananas were black, the grapes were all wrinkled, and the melon was mushy. Plus an iced tea was $3.99. Won't be going back! read more

I gave it 2 stars because the Parisienne soup was good. Worst waitress ever. She forgot she had our table. Forgot to bring creamer until the coffee was cold. Never came to see if everything was ok. Went for first time today. Staff was pleasant & everything was clean, tables well spaced. The food though was just ok. I ordered the scramble which came with home fries & wheat toast; and a cinnamon roll to go. Both the scramble & potatoes desperately needed salt/seasoning. The cinnamon roll that gets raved about? Yes, it's massive, (I cut it into quarters to split with family) and the cream cheese frosting is insanely good!! Briarfield cafe is really really good. Its just a small little diner and you would not expect much from it, but I have always been thrilled with my orders. They make the best home made chips there. They are super addicting. But their Chicken Noodle soup is the best in town. Nothing can beat it. The best thing though is the briarfield salad. It is lettuce tomato onion feta swiss parmesan rasins bacon with a poppy seed dressing. It is really out of this world! read more

We've discovered this place is good for more than just great breakfasts. On Friday nights they have an all you can eat fish dinner for nine dollars! You can get the fish broiled or fried, it including a side and then soup or salad. Sometimes the fish is soggy, but the majority of the time it is great. I get this even though I normally can't eat more than the initial serving of fish. Their fries are great too. This place is a hidden gem. read more

Great little familyish diner! For a diner they have a very impressive atmosphere. The place was very clean even the bathroom. We went after church and the place was decently busy. They sat our party in a short amount of time and was greeted in a timely manner as well. Prices were fair and food was good. I would highly recommend stopping by. read more

My server was very nice and I heard the owner offering to turn up the heat if anybody felt cold. Really enjoyed breakfast here. The prices are reasonable and the food & service were eggcellent. ;) I really wanted to try the banana bread French toast, but didn't want the temptation of eating too much of it. Our server Allyson said that it normally comes with 3 slices, but I could just get one, which I did. It was perfect! It tasted as delicious as I imagined & was enough to fill me up. My husband had the corned beef hash & loved it too. They were constantly coming around to fill our coffee mugs & we never had to look for someone to serve us. We had to wait a little while for our food, but it was fresh & worth the wait. Would definitely go there again. read more

It was ok, but that's the best i can do. Granted, it was a very busy sunday morning, but it took a really long time for two omelettes to be delivered to the table. The home fries are dried out and overdone. The server was very nice. Omelettes were omelettes, not much can be done to screw that up. What a great hidden gem. The food was classic American cafe and all very well prepared. My daughter is a fan of mozzarella sticks, but is usually disappointed when they come out looking like hollow logs because all the cheese leaked out in the dryer. NOT here! Perfect mozzarella sticks. The bacon cheeseburger was very good. My only beef is that I wish they wouldn't ask how I want my burger cooked if they can't deliver a burger with a little pink inside. But I know that cooks are all trained to cook hamburger to a certain temperature "for our safety", so I eat the medium-well burgers without complaint. Enough of this, back to my review. Cole slaw was great, nice and creamy. Fries are skin-on and cooked nice and crispy. Can't go wrong here. Try it for yourself. read more

I don't understand the reviews this place gets. Maybe we just went on an off day or something. We went at 9ish on a Tuesday morning. Blueberry pancakes had char all over them from an unclean grill, could taste garlic in them as well. The pancakes were huge though. French Toast could easily be made better at home. Bagel Sandwich tasted and felt microwaved, almost like one of those gas station sandwiches. Our bacon finally arrived after we finished eating, however it was the highlight of the meal. Server was poor, never got a refill, never prebussed etc. Took 25 minutes after we were done eating to receive the bill. I won't be going back to see if this was just an off day. read more

The location is set in a forgettable, drive-past type strip mall, but this place is really good. The service is awesome, even though it seems like they might be short staffed on occasion (I've been here a million times, and every so often you'll see one waitress having to take care of a seemingly packed diner alone. Service on those days is obviously not as great, but it's hard to fault the lone server). The prices are reasonable. Coffee is solid for the typical diner. Don't let the strip mall location throw you off! This place is wonderful! Everything we tried was delicious!! We had a plethora of choices and most of us chose all-you-can-eat spaghetti that came at a fabulous price. One diner had cinnamon french toast as well. Came for an early start birthday breakfast yesterday and sadly I was just not impressed. They didn't follow my simple request of leaving the home fries out of my omelet. My omelet was pretty flavourless as well. My friend got the big breakfast special and brought the pancakes home. Upon eating them this morning after being refrigerated well she is now sick.
