From the time I've come to the classic Lounge till now they've never treat me with nothing but respect. If I'm there by myself there's somebody there to walk me out to my car or at least to the door. In the back they got some good soul food so even if you scared come on in and check out some of them collard greens and the dressing on Sunday not stuffing but dressing on Sunday and whatever else they have to offer. The alcohol is a little bit questionable which is why I would only order wine here but I ain't never been anywhere at a hood bar as folks call it and didn't question the alcohol. You have your nice bartenders and some not so friendly but if they know you they will make sure you were taken care of. Unfortunately just like most places in the city nowadays you're going to have fights and carrying on but it's no different from anywhere else in the world. The food in the back is good so even if you scared come on in and get some of them collard greens on Sunday. Trust me you'll be happy. If you really scared come during the day when Shelley is here. The food is AMAZING but it's easier to go in and order bc they don't answer the phones consistently due to sheer customer and music volume. The only thing I really really don't like about this place is the bathroom. If you put aside the fact that it's small, it's extremely unclean. I've never once been in there and there NOT been flies, urine everywhere and it not smell worse then a portopotty other then that I recommend it

This bar has been here probably as long as I've been in Toledo and that's over 15 years. When you walk in you see this beautiful bar made out of wood. I don't know who made it but it is gorgeous. They have a nice selection of alcohol for cocktails and Sutter Home type wine. Even a few craft beers for me. They have special events like jazz on Thursday for free with free appetizers and host comedy events on occasion. Only problem is you have to search it out. They don't do a great job of advertising. Now this place has a reputation of being a primarily black bar but I have seen folks of all ethnicities here and they are welcome. The bartenders are semi-friendly depending who you get. Prices are like you would expect being near downtown. AKA overpriced. But the bathrooms are clean and the atmosphere is nice. Come check it out

The service is usually fast, friendly, and accurate. Local products? Yes. Pretty much all of the local distilleries are well represented here. Breweries too. The food? I haven't eaten here since Manos closed shop, but the apps looked pretty good. A couple of couches for comfortable seating, a couple or three pinball machines, pool tables, a dart board, or two. Yeah, you'll find them here. A few board games as well. The crowd? That's where the fun is. Very diverse and interesting. Very laid back and pretty friendly.
