But yet we stopped at the corner bar just around the corner called Cock and Bull and everybody's in there having a good time. Music's going and a DJ is getting ready to play. A nice good crowd. We came in this bar and there is literally no one in this bar except us. Now I do remember they have a patio around the back with cornhole but getting drinks in plastic cups on a Sunday afternoon it's not my idea of a good time. Maybe when I was in college but this is not a college bar or is it? The drink prices are more reasonable for downtown and I got a cup of wine in plastic of course for like four or five bucks but no way I'll come here and drink beer on a 90° day in plastic cups. There's no food here and no food trucks on sunday. Just a suggestion to them. It might be a good idea to get a food truck down here and maybe you'll have some customers. The bartender that was there was friendly and the selection was not very good but considering that just went along with the atmosphere.

The bartender stood out because he actually asked what kind of tequila I wanted and listed the options they had, which isn't something you see very often. Usually you just get asked "top shelf or well," so that extra effort was appreciated. The food is typical bar food, but the animal-style fries were a standout. Honestly, they were better than In-N-Out's (at least in my opinion -- and I've only been lucky enough to have In-N-Out once). We didn't go during an event, but the layout definitely makes it seem like they regularly have live music and other entertainment. Overall, it seems like a fun spot, especially if there's something going on.

The atmosphere of the establishment, including the patio, is top notch. I like the look and the feel. The service was also great. The waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and took great care of us. Drinks: I've been drinking a lot less as of late (I like being cut more than I like being buzzed), but last night, I did have an excellent cocktail, or two. I ordered some simple cauliflower bites, chicken tenders. Just some snacks to hold me over for the drive home. Place has a typical dive look to it but it seems they have live music, maybe even karaoke on certain days. Venturing around the place, it really has that cozy look to it. Seems like a place for locals and people have their "bar" they go to. They have a party room as well it looks like it can be rented for private parties. Overall a cute little place. Has that nostalgic feel to it and maybe I'll stop back again on my way back in the future. Three stars only because the food is the typical bar food. Tasty but nothing special.
