Short rib gorgonzola pasta and ribeye

Absolutely perfect dinner. My pasta was amazing and my husband's ribeye was the best he's ever had. This may be our new favorite place! The atmosphere was so elegant too! Everything was just perfect!

Just what Toledo has been missing! Authentic, exquisite, and FRESH Italian. Went here for a birthday meal that was superb in every way! We will definitely be back in and plan to pass on the good word to everyone we know.

We have been wanting to try this place for so long and we were able to get a reservation at 7 on a Saturday - that hardly ever happens. We came a bit early since we were so eager and we sat at the bar for a few drinks before our table was ready. I ordered the Water on Mark cocktail with lucre since they were out, but substituted with pear and to be honest. It was a fantastic drink. My fiancé ordered a smoked old fashioned and we watched the bartender work her magic. The ambiance of this place makes you feel so cozy, but with such a vibrant crew who really know it all when it comes to the restaurant business. We were then guided to our seats and we started to drool over the amazing food menu. We saw a wild mushroom toast for an anti pasta and we had to order it. The flavor was impeccable. The whipped ricotta was a perfectly creamy element to bring out all the amazing flavors of the mushroom and sauce. We also had to order a Caesar salad, because when in Rome, right? We were so excited for our main dishes, but we could've kept eating more and more of that anti pastas. I ordered the Seared skin Bay Salmon and he ordered the Chicken Parmesan. To say both were delicious would be an understatement. The chicken Parmesan sauce was on another level. You can tell that they're making the sauce in house. My dish was the best of both worlds. The salmon and pasta was delicious separately, but complimented the other flavors perfectly. We didn't have room for dessert, but man were we wanting to try some. We will be coming back here as much as we can in the future. Amazing spot.

We just loved it! We met with another couple for dinner. Miranda was our server and did an excellent job helping us. It is really a great looking place inside and the food was perfect! My wife had the roasted beet salad and I had the Wagyu Strip steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We started off with Espresso Martinis, which were elegant and tasty. I forgot to take a pic of my plate until I was a few bites into it because it looked and smelled so delicious. We will be back!

Came in from out of town for a celebration. Had a reservation and was told it would be a minute then we'd be sat. When the other half of our party arrived they sat them, so we went to meet them only for our other table to still be occupied. Awkwardly stood around for a bit hovering over one table with our large party. Eventually management got us our other table but that did put a damper in the evening which is one of the reasons i could not give this place 5 stars. Drinks were just ok, tried a few different cocktails and just was not impressed. Looks were amazing, very aesthetic but didn't enjoy the taste of them especially for the price. $14-$20 for one cocktail seemed a bit much. Did have a lovely upscale vibe of the whole establishment. Tried many things this evening and my personal favorites were the aged sour dough and the wild boar ravioli. The hummus was great too but I would get the sour dough over it. The lamb meatballs were ok, a little spice to them which i enjoyed but not everyone did. I got the Cacio de Pepe, which i thought was under whelming. Was more oil-y than creamy in my opinion. Still flavorful but i enjoyed my friends ravioli more. 2 friends got the ribeye who had great things to say about it. Overall food was good but a bit on the pricier end- but to be expected with a higher end restaurant. I ordered 2 drink, 2 appetizers, and an entree with tips it was around $120, to me wasn't worth it even though the food was good. Definitely a place for an experience not a regular visit. The management did give us 2 free desserts due to the dilemma with our reservation from earlier. Thought that was important to note since I mentioned it in the first place. Would be back but only for a very special celebration.

This was very much a treat yourself date for me and my wife. The atmosphere was awesome and we reserved a table in the back to make it easier to talk. Service was great! They checked in the right amount and didn't crowd us. Food was spectacular and our favorites were definitely the appetizers and dessert desserts. The general manager also checked in on us after our meal which we greatly appreciated.

A new restaurant next door to the amazing Souk. The spin is Italian with a Mediterranean flair. The restaurant is thoughtfully decorated and very intimate. The dinnerware is nicely curated and compliment a the meals. It has only been open about two weeks. I will go back again and update. We ordered Carbonara and the Asparagus Agnolotti and the mussels. The mussels were fresh and delicious. I wish there was something substantial to sop up the yummy sauce. The carbonara was full of ladrones but not what I expected. It was hearty but not creamy and the pasta was very al dente. Our agnolotti was spring perfection. Such great flavors and the pasta was cooked perfectly again I just with there was a spoon or a hearty piece of bread. The staff wasn't overly attentive or helpful. Our waitress suggested the margarita pizza as her favorite thing in the menu. Just seemed an odd choice to recommend from their extensive menu, the pizza was okay. I think they may just need a moment to gel as a team. Souk is the Best of Toledo. Sabira surely isn't far behind.

Every dish was beautifully prepared, rich in flavor, and made to create an exceptional dining experience. And the cocktail menu? Incredible. It's extensive and offers an option to complement every offering.

They serve their full menu until 10pm (!) with even later hours on the weekend. Of course, the pizza is great. It's owned by the "Marco's Pizza Family." As you may have guessed, this is an Italian restaurant. Although this is NOT the best Italian fare in town, it is very good. I will also say that it's a bit expensive for what you get. The service last night, from Liz, was fantastic. The atmosphere is just what you'd expect from in this part of town...exposed brick, comfy seats, high ceilings, etc. It's clean and modern, if not a little cliche. Still, it's very comfortable. Not only does he have the fastest growing pizza chain in the world, but (Italian immigrant) Pasquale "Pat" Giammarco also has a great spot in the heart of downtown Toledo. We'll be back.

Honestly, I would have rather waited the 15 minutes the waitress said it would take for fresh pizza than been given something that seemed like it had been sitting around for a while and was just "called" a Margherita because it looked similar. I expected a Margherita pizza with sliced tomatoes and plenty of basil, but what I got was more like a plain cheese pizza with just two chopped pieces of basil on top. The slices were folded in the container and looked smaller than they actually were. The staff didn't seem very enthusiastic when I came in to pick up my order, so I didn't feel welcomed as a new patron. The restaurant has a casual, seat-yourself bar-style vibe, which is fine if that's your style, but it didn't add much to the overall experience for me. The Pizza Passport is a great opportunity for pizza lovers to explore new restaurants or pizzerias in town. For me, I'm used to sticking with my usual spot, so it was nice to try something different and broaden my horizons, but I'm unsure if I will be returning. Overall, maybe it was just an off day for them.

Upon entering, there's a long bar where many people gather to sample various wines. There's also an extensive offering of potential gifts if you choose. Yes, pricey, but fun to browse. The overall ambiance is what I would describe as upscale casual, but you can also dress up as much as you'd like. It's a sophisticated and yet comfortable environment and the staff members we encountered were very welcoming and attentive. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server, Taylor, was the absolute best!!! We started off with Lemon Drop Martinis that were perfect. (I took lots of pics but not of the martinis because we were thirsty!) We had narrowed our entree selections of salmon down to two and Taylor gave us her honest opinion of what she preferred while also telling us that the other option was very popular. Both my friend and I ordered the lighter salmon entree that was served with lemon and lots of vegetables. (I had previously had the miso soy glazed salmon with coleslaw, which was amazing.) I did not regret trying the lighter version of salmon with the vegetables and finger potatoes. The combination was perfect and the salmon was excellent and not at all fatty. Btw, the calorie count was 570 for this entree... Gotta love that! Since my friend reminded Taylor that we were celebrating my birthday, she brought out truffles with a candle. It was a very sweet and special way to end the evening- even though neither of us could eat another bite. It was boxed up and I put it in the fridge to share with my mom in the next day or so. While my experience at Cooper's Hawk sometimes varies between a 4-5 star experience, tonight was definitely 5 stars! Highly recommend!

You can also participate in wine tasting while you wait for a table. The tables are nicely spaced so you aren't sitting extremely close to others and being interrupted by conversation from other tables. The location is able to accommodate large groups and intimate dining. Our server was new but knowledgeable about the menu. Since we were first time customers, there is a required upsell speech that we were not interested in as people that don't enjoy wine and had no interest in a wine club so our server shortened that up for us. We are grateful for her ability to read the room. We tried the caprese flat bread for our appetizer. The bread is thin and crispy and toppings were flavorful but not overpowering. It was a light and enjoyable starter. The balsamic could have been stronger for our taste but overall, the dish was good. Our server brought out "complementary fresh baked pretzel bread". It looked lovely and had a crisp outer shell but was frozen in the middle. After completing our appetizer, we waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive to the table. Our server informed us that the short rib risotto I had order was the hold up as the short ribs were "just coming out of the oven". When our meal arrived the presentation was lovely; however, my "short rib" which was actually a large, tough, lukewarm piece of chuck roast served over mashed potatoes with grilled vegetables (not mushroom risotto) was less than I had hoped. On the bright side, those roasted veggies were top notch and the gravy which was necessary to choke down the tough meat was really quite tasty. Unfortunately, my husband's steak was also overcooked. He agreed that the vegetables were the best part of the meal. We skipped dessert as we had experienced enough disappointment for one night. The ambiance was nice, our server was pleasant and knowledgeable, the food just didn't make the grade.
