I have to update my review to reflect a huge difference in experience. My friend checked is in a 11:30 for brunch, yes I know, prime brunch time. I had tried to make a reservation online and didn't even know the app existed. We expected a 30 minute wait, but we were hugely disappointed to not be seated until an HOUR later. I only had 45 minutes until I needed to leave at that point. Thankfully, our waitress Elizabeth did a great job getting us in and out of there with a little time to spare. I had the tri-athlete and overall thought it was good. The fruit was fresh and the bread good. The omelete was just ok. I'll get pancakes again, next time. Maybe I'll try the Glenwood location next time. I've NEVER been somewhere that didn't honor a wait time or go out of their way to make it right. read more

Love coming here! The food is always so fresh and delicious. Their menu is great and full of wonderful, mostly organic items. This was the first time my boyfriend had ever been to one, and he loved it. He ordered the breakfast taco's and I ordered the traditional breakfast. Both were so so so good! This was the worst brunch experience I've had. We were seated at a table that hadn't been cleaned since the last guests. Our food was brought without utensils. Then when utensils brought- all visibly soiled. Out of 5 sets- 2 didn't have food particles remaining on them. Our server gave us attitude when we asked for new utensils. Zero apologies. Literally went and got new rolls and slammed on table- didn't take old ones away. Zero drink refills offered. Our food was deplorable. I sent soup back because there was gelatinous material in it that couldn't be identified- again- server gave zero apologies. Did give a solid eye roll though. One of us got the roast beef sandwich- it was so wet the bread fell apart. And the beef was white/grey. Needless to say this was not consumed. Kids pancakes came out on chipped plates that were sharp. The list kept going and going. I was a server. I know when you see a family it often means big messes, low tips, and a hassle. Well That's not us. But WOW was this a horrible experience. Between the dirty atmosphere- rude/poor service- and gross food- I left mad, hungry, and out $55. read more

The greeters were warm and welcoming, and our server was great. But the food was mediocre at best. My wife and I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was small portions -- small amount of scrambled eggs and very small portions of jelly. My grits were very watery -- looked like soup and not tasty at all. The eggs were over cooked. Probably won't be back to this location. My husband and I came here for brunch on Monday (Labor Day) and it was surprisingly not super busy. We only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. Once we were seated, our waitress took our order, brought us our water, and then proceeded to disappear for about 45 minutes until she finally walked by without stopping and said "Your food should be up soon." Meanwhile larger parties who were seated after us with different servers were getting their orders well ahead of us. The food was okay, definitely not worth the wait though. My husband ordered the "Tri-Fecta" which is supposed to come with 2 eggs and sausage -- he got what looked like one spoonful of scrambled eggs and a single small link of sausage. Honestly we have no problem waiting in a restaurant regardless of how the food turns out, stuff happens, it can get unexpectedly busy, and people have "off" days at work, but the crappy service on top of the long wait was really disappointing. read more

I had a terrible experience at this First Watch. I usually get excellent service at the First Watch I go to in Virginia but this is not the case for this location. The customer service was horrible. The cups, plates and silverware were all dirty. My bacon was burnt and my eggs were overcooked. In addition to my overcooked food, I had HAIR in my lemon ricotta pancakes. When the manager came to assist us, she was very nonchalant about it. I would not recommend coming here at all. My meal wasn't that great and very bland. read more

I have tried and tried to give this new location a chance since opening, but I've had issues two of the three times that I've been and that speaks volumes to me. The Glenwood location is definitely a different, much better restaurant. I know the Brier Creek location has just opened, but they lack in very big areas (i.e. cleanliness, customer service and food quality). I definitely won't return to the Brier Creek location. For what you pay and how hard people work nowadays for their money; it isn't too much to ask for food that is free of foreign objects or for management not to blame you, the customer, when you bring an issue to their attention. Online pickup order policy is flawed and causes unnecessary delays. Waited 30min for food that was supposed to be ready at 11:15a made via online. The mangers proceeds to explain its my fault they didn't know I was there to pick up my food. When I spoke with several of the hostess on several occasions during my wait to ask the status of my food. I would not recommend ordering from this location during covid-19. read more

I met work colleagues at First Watch, the first time at this location. I had the veggie frittata, but unfortunately the only veggies were loads of onions and a little mushroom. Unfortunately I don't care for onions, which were not disclosed on the menu description. The salad and mini baguette that came with the frittata were great - no complaints there. The matcha was subtle in the pancakes (which was good) and it was topped with an appropriate amount yogurt and fruit as to not drench them. The bacon was opulent- as name implies - but thought thought the effect was too much. Service was polite and attentive. Prices were acceptable for the offerings, which puts them on the higher end. Great little spot for breakfast - their outside dining is perfectly situated in the shade for those of us who sunburn easily. I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs - both were excellent! The gravy was tasty without being greasy (which can be a problem with sausage gravy). My friend had the bacado omelet and loved it - we couldn't believe how fluffy the eggs looked! We will definitely be going back here again to try some of their other offerings - lots of tasty choices on the menu that we saw going out to other tables. A solid breakfast and lunch choice in Brier Creek. Better than the typical chain places that are abundant in the area. I had the breakfast chicken chimichanga which was well seasoned, could've used a little more egg. The potatoes are decent as well. The million dollar bacon is delicious, salty, sweet, smoky, and a little spicy. The breakfast also came with a small fruit cup which is nice to cut some of the richness. Well that was a complete waste of my lunch break I ordered French toast and it was cold the toast and even taste like French toast didn't come with any powdered sugar plus I order their Monterey club sandwich they didn't put avocado the bacon was beyond salty and it didn't even come with dressing probably will not be returning just because there way better lunch locations in the area.
