It was so good, my family and I ate here two mornings in a row...yes that good. We visited Tucson to attend my cousin's wedding and being the big foodie we all are, I did some online research on great brunch places....A picture of the avocado toast at First Watch was what caught my eye and after showing my family members the rest of the photos, I knew we had to go. We showed up on a Saturday morning and there was about a 30 minute wait. My dad was reluctant to wait, but I told him, if there is this much people here on a Saturday morning in Tucson, it MUST be good! haha. Well to our very own surprise, everything we had was amazingly delicious and flavorful! Each item on the dish was so fresh as well, from the avocados to the strawberries...yum! The next morning we were thinking we should try a new place, but thinking about how great of a meal it was the first time, my family and I came to a consensus to try something new on the menu at the same restaurant! DEAL! haha. Most Memorable Dishes: - Chickichanga - this is a definite must! Loved this so much and I wish I got it again on my second day there! Instead of a tortilla wrap, the wrap was made with eggs, kind of like a crepe, and it was filled with a bunch of flavorful southwestern ingredients...yum! Definitely worth trying. - Million Dollar Bacon - not sure if this is a special, since it's only the blackboard, but it was delicious! Four strips of bacon topped with maple syrup and brown sugar and cooked just right. The sweetness really balanced out the saltiness, perfect combo! - Lemon Ricotta Pancakes - definitely get this if you are a sweets person! The pancakes were so fluffy and light and topped with that sweet and tart lemon ricotta with strawberries, definitely a great end to an amazing brunch! - Sourdough Toast - I mean, it's just bread, but dang, that bread they use, toasted with some butter, my mom was fighting me for it from my plate! I literally had to guard her from taking another slice! hahaha. Being the good son that I am, I surrendered and gave her the last slice. lol. - Mediterranean Baked Eggs - aka "shashuka" - it was actually pretty good! Not the same as the shashuka I have had in NYC, but their rendition of the Mediterranean breakfast dish was pretty good! The tomato based sauce pairs very well with the ciabatta bread it comes with. Super flavorful! Things I did not really enjoy - the chicken melt, the club sandwich, and the french toast. The french toast sounded really good on the menu, but when we got it, it was just okay, not terrible, just no wow factor for me. I also tried the biscuit and gravy, also just okay. Overall, I would highly recommend this breakfast and brunch place to anyone visiting Tucson! It is a local chain (I think) but you will be getting a really good meal at a very good price (compared the East coast prices that I am used to) haha. Go eat and enjoy! read more

The food was outstanding.....very good food. The wait to sit down was kind of understanding at an hour. The dissapointment was the 35 minute wait for breakfast food, and not being able to get sugar for the coffee until the coffee was cold. I understand covid, but if the place is only half full, then the service should be a lot better. Might try them out again when this covid is over. Too expensive for poor service read more

Best breakfast spot in town. Staff is lovely. My family frequents this spot, it stays busy throughout the week. Even on a weekday on an off hour they'll be busy. It's the food. The quality is unmatched by any other place in town. Miles above Bisbee breakfast club and all the other popular brunch spots around town, except maybe Prep and Pastry, who can can compete food wise, but this place has a better atmosphere. A much more quiet spacious area, less wait time for a table and faster service. So to answer their question, yes I love them more than bacon read more

The music is so loud you can't hold a conversation. It doesn't matter if there's a large group or not. Other than this the food is good but the music makes one jittery stressed out. read more

Great food and great service. The wait is never too long and the staff hustles. And the view of the Catalina mountains from the patio is beautiful read more

Very good food and service. But the music is overwhelming and takes away from the pleasure of eating the meal. Our server turned the music down several times per our request and someone else turned it back up. I am not inclined to return because of the loud music. The sound level is the equivalent to a vacuum cleaner and the music choice sucks like a vacuum cleaner. I am leaving with a headache. This is a management problem. Staff is great. I talked to the manager directly and he just gave me the runaround on music. I will not return to this particular first watch restaurant. read more

Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was busy but cozy. Fresh food and drink exceptional. Would definitely come again.

Great place for breakfast or lunch! The patio faces the Catalina's for a beautiful view! There are options for vegetarians and vegans. They make fresh squeezed juices. The avocado toast is yummy! read more

Great place for breakfast. Prices are a bit higher but worth the extra $$. Lots of breakfast options

This was our first visit to First Watch and it won't be our last. We came here on a busy Saturday morning. We were told there was a 20 minute wait for our party of 2. We were seated quicker then that. I felt the the menu had enough vegetarian choices. In fact, I had a hard time choosing. I ended up ordering the "morning market veg" and my husband ordered the "Lemon ricotta pancakes". We also ordered two sides of their fresh, seasoned potatoes. The MMV was so good. All, and there were a lot, of the fresh vegetables in the omelet were cooked perfectly. I have never had goat cheese before, but it was delicious. The omelet had just the right amount. My meal came with whole grain toast with a fresh preserve that was yummy. The potatoes were extra :( but they were also delicious. The LRP was also very good. My husband kept saying how good the creamy lemon curd was so I had to try some :). I must agree that the pancakes and lemon were also delicious. The pancakes were also topped with fresh strawberries. The menu had said the pancakes came with "marinated berries". My husband had hoped it would have been a mixture instead of just strawberries. Would we have these meals again? Yes, but not until we tried all the other yummy things we saw on the menu. And just in time for fall they have pumpkin pancakes that I cannot wait to try. There was a little mix up with our coffee order( we didn't get any) but they took care of that at the register and apologized. read more

I wish there was a First Watch in the Bay! I was visiting family down in Tucson and my grandparents insisted we go out for breakfast at this local joint and now I know why. This restaurant offers healthy and flavorful dishes. They have an extensive breakfast/brunch list (everything from a quinoa superfood bowl to pot roast hash). I did not look much through their lunch menu, but my grandma ordered a sandwich and salad combo and absolutely loved it! Everyone in my party enjoyed their food and had no complaints. I got the Pot Roast Hash, which I highly recommend! The meat was tender and the dish was perfectly flavored. First Watch gives decent sized portions, not too big that you feel overwhelmed or stuffed, but they are generous with their food! They also have a selection of juices to choose from. These are not your added-sugar juice box kind of juices. They make fresh juices filled with kale, ginger, chia seeds, and any other food that will make you life forever. All of the staff was attentive, friendly, and quick. We didn't wait long to be served and never felt rushed by our server. Also, did I mention most of the dishes were under $12?! This is a steal compared to the usual $18 I spend for brunch in the Bay Area. Thanks for the suggestion, Grandma! You didn't let us down. read more

I love the food at First Watch! There isn't a bad meal. That being said, the service is terrible! First, we were told 10 minutes to wait, no problem. Then we were called in but a woman decided she wanted to sit in our place, she was not seated by staff, she just decided to sit down and invite her friend to sit with her. The staff, instead of asking them to move to a different location or better yet, wait their turn, decided it was better to make us wait 15 more minutes. After waiting that 15 minutes, I finally decided enough is enough and asked why they didn't make us a priority over the women who took our table. You would think I slapped someone! She was already seated, they couldn't do that the hostess said. I asked how much longer until we were to be seated, as a result, another party who came after us was upset because they thought they should be seated. This created a domino effect that wasn't pretty. Once seated, our waitress, while pleasant was rarely seen. If she was spread thin, all she had to do was let us know but nothing was said, she was just never around. This should have been a five star review but with the poor service I just couldn't do it. That should tell you something about how good the food is to get the 4 stars. read more

WONDERFUL FOOD!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a high quality nutritious breakfast.

First time for me and my wife eating here. We are here for a business seminar and came out early to Tucson. Came here for a late brunch. The menu was full of great choices. The staff was extra friendly and the place was busy, but welcoming and clean. They moved through the line of waiting eaters effortlessly. They had these great drinks we had the lemon, blue berry and something else it was very refreshing. Since we couldnt settle on one to two things we orders 4 and we always shares. We ordered the avocado toast with our eggs pouched light (they did it perfectly). Some of the best avocado and toast we've had. The toast was thick and had its own texture. The avocado was piled on (they aren't scared to give you avocados). We also ordered the lemon curd ricotta cheese pancakes and they were were very good. The lemon curd was spot on and the flavor overall was very welcoming. We got the side order of biscuits and gravy. Oh man!! Heaven to the mouth and taste buds were doing their happy dance. You could taste the love and the slow roasted turkey which was the base of the gravy. It was so tasty. The biscuits were light and fluffy like eating a cloud and they had their own wonderful flavor. Lastly we got the roast beef and havarti cheese half sandwich and chicken avocado chop salad. The sandwich was the star of the dish. Amazing crunchy with grilled cheese on the out side and cool roasted peppers inside and some flavorful roast beef. With an amazing horseradish sauce. A sandwich that I will dream about. This place was amazing and affordable. $40 for all that food. And upon paying found out it is chain..... a chain.... mind blown . Great quality, fresh from farm to table in a chain restaurant what a great idea (duh). They have made a great recipe for success. Hope they open shop up in PNW very soon because they would kill it up there, so good. read more

Dined here on 3.26.2022 at noon. Food Poisoning & Bad Service. I've eaten here with my wife a few times because it's close to home. We've given it a few chances. Never again. Hard bit in my burger - felt like I broke my tooth from my first bite. Had to ask twice for my coffee order and three times for the syrup for my wife's waffle. And to top it all off my wife got food poisoning from undercooked eggs. Not eating here again. read more

I've been to plenty of First Watch locations, but this one is always a winner. I am always greeted with kindness and attentive service. The food is consistent and if you join their email club, you receive plenty of $2off coupons. The Italian-inspired omelet with egg whites is amazing, if you needed a suggestion. The fresh juices are also creative and tasty! read more

Arrived at 930am with my family of 4. Received water and OJ then waited until 1030am to find my server. Who didn't check on us 1 time. Her response, she doesn't know maybe soon, you want it boxed up? We left...What awful service! read more

First visit to First Watch. It was okay. The atmosphere is darling. The staff was friendly. The meal was all kinds of wrong... Ordered a multi-grain pancake - got a plain one. Ordered waffle - got a stone grid - hard & burnt Ordered chicken patty - got under cooked turkey links Took a long time for the meal to arrive and the place wasn't full.... I will give their lunch menu a try but I wasn't impressed with breakfast. read more

Just passing through Tucson. Couldn't find a breakfast location over 3.5 stars near me. Thank goodness we stopped at First Watch. The menu was full of original items. Benedict was unique and the breakfast sandwich and million dollar bacon and amazing. Coming back tomorrow morning!!! read more

We signed up on the app wait list. Had to wait quite a while after arriving. Having said that, the restaurant was very very busy. The staff was so courteous and diligent. Kudos to their manager Glenn. He was working so hard, I think maybe they were a little understaffed. He was seating, on the phone, on the register answering people's questions on how soon they would be seated and each time he answered affably with a sincere smile. I even saw him bus a table. I bothered him a bit about our seating and he was so patient and so nice, it made our wait less tense. I gave a 5 star rating because the food was, as always, awesome, the service great and Glenn and his staff made all the difference. Recommend for everyone, families, couples or friends. Will keep visiting this place every time we can. read more

We love the farm to table menu items! We only go for breakfast, but it is amazing! You honestly can't go wrong with any of the options!

Delicious food and attentive service! The food is clean tasting with great flavor. We had a Blueberry Pancake (the best I've ever had) and the Chickichanga. We're just driving through the area but can't wait to return. Bought the cookbook just in case. read more

My wife and I have eaten in many First Watch restaurants, and I have to say that this one is by far the best. Not only that, it's one of the better breakfast spots we've ever enjoyed while in AZ. The staff is great, the establishment is sparkling clean, and the food is top notch. Even the syrup is served warm, as it should be. Our waitress, Tiffany was great. The place appears to get busy. I suspect because of how good it is, but it was a short wait. The staff appears to work very well together and make things happen. Well done First Watch. We had Eggs Benedict & the French Toast read more

This rating is for this particular location of FirstWatch. We've had great food and great service at every OTHER FirstWatch we've been to, but this one is consistently bad. Today was our last straw and we doubt we'll go back. 1. Very slow service, both with the initial greeting from a server at our table and the amount of time it takes to get your food after ordering. 2. There is a man there that we believe may be the manager who has been never been friendly in any of our visits (you're in the SERVICE and HOSPITALITY industry man!) and today he was having a bit of a fit at a server right at the cash register for customers to witness. 3. Both of our food orders today were less than lukewarm and one of my two poached eggs was closer to raw than to poached. 4. We heard the table next to us make a complaint to the server of cold food as well. We recommend other FirstWatch locations but steer clear of this one at Rooney Ranch in Oro Valley. read more

The wait here can be substantial, so it helps to use Yelp to check in for the waitlist early. I believe we waited about 20 minutes on a Sunday around 10. I like First Watch, but this isn't my favorite location in terms of the atmosphere and staff. Our server was fine but not overly friendly, pretty much took our order and that was it. The wait for our food seemed much longer as well. I ordered the chile chorizo omelette with potatoes, and it was excellent and very filling. My boyfriend got the parma skillet and enjoyed it. Most breakfast dishes are $9-$13. If you get additional sides or drinks, it could be expensive, because a side of bacon is $5, and juices and cold brews are $4-5. Prices are about what you find in a similar establishment. And the portions are large. read more

I've been coming to this First Watch location since they opened and they're always consistent with their friendly service, good food, and great atmosphere. More recently I've been coming here with a friend of mine and our kids, and it always shocks me how great all the employees are with our toddlers. As with toddlers, some days are great and some days are tough, and even on some of our more less-relaxing visits, the staff has always been so accommodating in finding us the most convenient seating as well as getting the food out quickly. It seems that during most of our mid-day mid-week visits, there's a male daytime manager that's always so fantastic with us and the kids. Today, my friend's little girl face-planted out front when we were leaving and he was so quick to come out and help however he could. He routinely goes above and beyond to make our visits as enjoyable as possible, and we really appreciate it! read more

Love this place. Great menu with a lot of variety. It's nice that you can order lunch or breakfast foods any time. I've heard some folks say the service is a little slow but I feel the wait time is appropriate considering it's carefully prepared food from scratch as opposed to fast food. Plus there's a wait to get table sometimes but that's because the food is so good. Friendly staff and really nice atmosphere too. read more

This is a hard to write review of a popular place. 5 Stars for Cleanliness, Service, General Atmosphere. They were fantastic. Jug of water on table. Pot of Coffee. Overall just well run. Breakfast . . . was below average. We went for breakfast. Chocolate Chip Pancakes slightly burnt. Potato's were not browned, some were more raw than even al dente, and lacking all flavour. no salt? no pepper? The table had plenty of salt, pepper, hot sauce, .... I had to flavour it up myself. Maybe it's the target audience in the OV? Finally, let's talk biscuits & gravy. This is not a health food, you can not make healthy with Turkey Sausage. What you do is make it boring, flavourless, and undesirable. It's my own fault. I knew no one in AZ could possibly make B&G but I can not help myself. read more
