We had a very good experience here. They have water with lime available in the waiting lobby, which was refreshing and delicious. It was very clean and it has a nice environment. Our waitress, Alexa, was awesome. The entire staff was professional and friendly. The food was excellent. Coffee was great but they could have fresh milk available to add in it instead of just the packaged creamer, which is my only suggestion for improvement. Everything else was phenomenal. Very saddened to give it a one star. This is the second time we've eaten there since it opened. The servers are very good and it's not their fault that the restaurant gets one star. The reason it does is kitchen the staff is hit or miss in food preparation. The first visit it was prepared well, warm, and came out in a timely manner. Today was a completely different story. Coffee was luke warm. It took about 40 minutes before our food was delivered. The frittata was so overcooked and looked like rubber so I sent back. My wife's food was cold. As we looked around we saw at least one other plate being sent back as well as a table of four who were seated before us still waiting for their food. The staff didn't charge us for either meal. We felt for our server who had to apologize to several tables. We will give a it month or two before visiting again to see if they have resolved the issues. read more

Tried this place again after a bad experience. They were busy and there were an abundance of people waiting in an enclosed space. No where to sit to wait. They were telling people an hour and a half wait. Placed an order and was quoted a 15 min waiting time. My order took over 45 mins. $30 for brunch at least quote an accurate time. read more

Normally I don't write a bad review as to each their own. So I just don't go back and let everyone I meet know of my experience. Service was outstanding. I had some sort of frittata. Thank god for the greens because they were able to cover up the taste of the egg "thing". I would not make the effort to go from my bedroom to my kitchen for their food. It had little flavor and what was there made me wish there was none. I wish I would have opted for the water only selection My wife had eggs Benedict. The eggs should be poached. They were closer to hard boiled. I agree they use appear to use quality ingredients (at least according to the menu) but they should be cooked so they come out with some at least average flavor. Even salt an pepper weren't enough to make the meals have some flavor. My wife asked if I wanted to take what we didn't eat home to my dog and I said hell no. Even she wouldn't eat anything like this. I do want to reiterate though our server was great. I don't think anyone would experience anything less no matter who their server was. My boyfriend and I came in on a busy Sunday morning and had an awesome experience. There were several large parties that came in (pretty sure they didn't call ahead) and the employees were great about trying to accommodate them and giving them updates about their wait. Our waitress was wonderful and so was the food. We were seated by the kitchen and I noticed how well all the employees got along and kept asking each other if they needed help carrying drinks/plates. I intentionally came to First Watch because I am traveling and wanted something that wasn't heavy or greasy. My veggie frittata was great and I like that I can get greens for breakfast. My order came as I asked (no cheese, no onions, add spinach). My server Nikki was awesome and helpful with the menu. I can see how some wouldn't like this restaurant based on the previous breakfast place. First time here since they changed to First Watch. Had a 20ish minute wait but nothing too bad on Saturday for brunch. We ended up at the community table with two other couples. It was wonderful to meet new people and overall a positive experience. Our server was Deedee and she was absolutely amazing. I completely recommend snagging her as your server if you can. Very attentive, fast service, and recommends quite a set of things depending on your interest. I ate the classic eggs Benedict's and it was phenomenal! Highly recommend! read more

Did not see a manager until we we're leaving, left his hostess up front by herself to deal with the multiple complaints during our first and LAST visit. This is on one of my sales travel routes, I loved the Egg and I. Great staff good menu and nice prices. On my last trip to the area I gave First Watch a try. I almost walked out after perusing the menu and finding really nothing I would order for breakfast. Juice was good and fresh squeezed, I ended up ordering some sausage and some grits. Very expensive for what it was. Wish it was still Egg and I, when it was it was full of old timers chatting and eating. Now just a handful of hipsters in skinny jeans. This was the worst service I've ever had in all the six years coming there since it was The Egg & I. The lady, Tatiyanna, is her name, never apologized for my meal being wrong. Twice to be exact. I keep giving this place another chance and I keep getting so disappointed. Wait wasn't long to get seated but the wait to have the waitress come over was about 15 minutes. We placed our order right away. We didn't see our waitress again after that until we were almost done with our meal. The person who brought the food did not provide syrup. I tried getting anyones attention but couldn't so I had to get up and go find someone. My daughter's potatoes were cold and one of the bacon slices was undercooked. It was very busy and the hostess at the time on March 26th was telling people of color the wait time was an hour 15 min while my white friends were quoted half the time. Unacceptable! We waited 20 minutes for our drink and food orders to be taken, then another 45 for our food to get to us. Only one out of the four orders were correct and our food was cold. Looking around I came to the conclusion that this was the standard for everyone as people who were seated 30 minutes ahead of us got there food just a few minutes before we received ours. Stopped in for a quick meal before heading to a sporting event nearby at the O'Fallon Sports park. It was busy, but that is to be expected on a Sunday, and wasn't sure if I was going to make it on time since I didn't give myself much time to spare. But I had plenty of time to eat at a leisurely pace and still make it to my son's game on time. I was seated right away and someone was there within minutes to take my drink order. By the way the seasonal Iced Chai Cider just might be my favorite of the juices I've tried there. I always order the Healthy Turkey Omelet...love the interesting combo of flavors and the feta on top makes it extra good. Great as always It was towards the end of what I could tell was a busy Sunday but the staff was all just as polite and working as hard as if they were fresh in for the day. Checking frequently to make sure my meal was good and my water filled. From the hostess, to my server, and the person that brought my food, it was a great experience. The woman that brought my food even said...as special order just for you...that was a nice touch. Me and my boyfriend decided to try this place out about a month ago. There was at least an hour wait which was fine but when we were sat we were told it would be at least another 45 minutes before we received our food so we left. My boyfriend really wanted to try it so we came again today. The wait for a table wasn't bad but when we were sat we had to wait at least 10 minutes before our drink orders were taken. When our drink orders were taken we placed our food order as well. I asked for extra bacon and for my soup to come out early. My soup came out with the rest of my food and the meal itself wasn't even correct. My boyfriend got the wrong sandwich and I got the wrong side with my meal and no extra bacon. Our server, Ashley, was super nice about the situation but I would rather go somewhere that serves my food correctly, the first time. It is not rocket science. We will not be back. read more

As expected with most "new" restaurants, there a few kinks that need to be worked out. Service is a bit a slow, from the wait time until the time it takes to get your food, which is mediocre at best. It took us 40 minutes to get seated, 15 minutes for a waitress to come take our order and then 30 minutes to get our food. The only task they were quick with was giving us the bill which was provided to us only a few minutes after we got our food. The waitress was nice, but the woman who delivered our food insulted my husband by suggesting the side of potatoes was his because he is a "big guy." I get she didn't mean any malice but my husband is sensitive about his recent weight gain and that hurt his feelings. That's s big no no in the service industry and a double standard. If a man said that to a woman he would probably get fired. On the bright side- our food was good, but not worth that long wait. So I won't be back for a very long time. read more

It was so delicious. like out of this world amazing. we tried the hacienda hash, blueberry muffin top cakes, the salmon omelette, the lemon ricotta pancakes and the barcoa dish. all were incredible!! the pancakes were not too sweet with an incredible texture and the lemon curd was to die for. one of the best bits was the fresh fruit!!! it was not the overly sweet kind of slimy fruit, which was WONDERFUL!!! the salmon omelette had beautifully flavored tomatoes and a sauce that paired incredibly. the texture of the salmon was very good with the eggs. the muffin top griddle cakes were so good, with granola that added a really nice crunch and again, fresh fruit! it was a bit of a wait, but for obvious reasons!! don't let any warnings of busyness deter you, it is worth it!! the food was incredible and we all left feeling like we had discovered something amazing. our waitress was really amazing and told us her recommendations (which is what we ordered and were amazing) and very sweet and made sure we were taken care of!! read more

We called the Ofallon, IL. restaurant to ask if they accepted call ahead seating. The lady who answered the phone said that there was a 15 to 20 minute wait and that she would put us on the wait list, she even asked us for for our phone number. When we arrived, we checked in. The lady working advised us that they do not take calls regarding call a head seating. We had to be put on the list again and wait another 25 minutes to be seated. They told us that they don't know who answered the phone and told us that. While waiting there was another couple walk up and say the exact same thing. What does this say about the management at this location. read more

Nice, clean and new - very comfortable and friendly. Excellent breakfast menu - actually a little healthier than I was hoping for! There isn't corned beef hash and it is turkey sausage gravy, but I'm guessing my waistline won't miss that! Jen had the Belgian waffle and I had the BLT eggs Benedict. Both were PERFECT! They use fresh baked ciabatta bread instead of English muffin - a wonderful touch. Soaks up the yummy hollandaise sauce - the dressed arugula and avacodo on top differentiate this Benedict from all the others. Definitely will have it again! The Belgian waffle was not too sweet - light and fluffy, crispy outside and moist/airy inside. A fantastic breakfast! We came at 1030 I on Sunday morning - right after church service and beat the rush. read more
