This little spot in OFallon surprised us. I've come here a few times during lunch, and the service and food have always been really great. It's busy during lunch, but they get the food out really quickly. My favorite thing on the menu so far: their fries! I rave about them and they've quickly became my number one favorite spot for fries. read more

I have been visiting this establishment for lunch approximately once a week for the past three months. While most of the staff has been friendly, my most recent experience was disappointing. After requesting a menu and sitting for about 20 minutes, the bartender seemed put off when I ordered only water with my meal. Notably, she attended to a beer drinker and checked her cell phone instead of acknowledging me. Given her friendly demeanor with other patrons, her cold behavior towards me was noticeable. Despite this, I am willing to continue patronizing the establishment due to its proximity to my workplace, as some of us prefer not to drink alcohol and soda. read more

Great place to pop in for a quick meal or hangout and cheer on your favorite team! Ample seating both at their bar or at tables (and multiple tvs so everyone has a view of any sporting events playing). The fries were crispy and their salads were fresh. Food is definitely better than the average sports bar with some creative items like the Korean pork burger. Prices are reasonable, portions were generous, and service was great. Came in on Friday night to grab dinner, and had a bad experience with a bar manager. Received a second glass of wine. And it had turned bad while in the bottle. The waitress even noticed the discoloration. Bar manager came to my table with an empty wine bottle and plenty of attitude and asked what exactly I wanted. Great lunch spot! We stopped in for a quick bite and loved this place. It had a large opening for indoor and outdoor dining. We ordered the Loaded Potato Chips for an appetizer and they were delicious!!! We ordered the Korean pork burger and the Sweet and Spicy chicken wrap. The Korean Pork Burger was good, but I really liked the Sweet and Spicy Chicken wrap! It was very light and a good healthy option. The inside looked to be recently redone and was super nice! Way too noisy. We have been going to 1st Street Lounge for over a year every week. Our great experience terminated today. The jukebox was screaming LOUD! We couldn't hear across the table. Also it took over 10 minutes to get the attention of a waitress and at 4 pm the place was mostly empty. The manager wasn't helpful. We left and will not be back unless the jukebox is removed. If I want noisy I can go to SHOOTERS down the street. 1st Lounge needs to decide what they want to be: a) neighbor hood bar and grill to socialize b) or a honkey tonk bar It cannot be both. One of O'fallon's best family friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant. It's nice to have such a gem in the downtown. Prices are very reasonable and whether you are there for a few beers with friends or bringing your kids for a dinner, this place is the perfect. The food is hand prepared and you can tell they take the time and energy to ensure it's fresh and tasty. Everything is great but a special shout out to the chips and salsa and burgers. Also they have a pretty legit fish fry on Friday's. Lastly, whether you are a bud light drinker, prefer the craft brews, or a wino, they have it all. read more

Swung in for a quick, late lunch. I was immediately impressed with the crowd in a Monday afternoon. I was under the impression that I would get a cold beer and some so/so bar food. Boy! I was wrong! I asked for a menu and the Bartender asked if I wanted to hear the special. I said "ok," she said "$5 burger with fries." I didn't need the menu any longer. My drink was then made and was made correctly! (The vodka to soda, to ice, to glass, ratio was perfect!) My meal arrived as I ordered a second (and final) drink. The lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and onions were served on the side. The burger was perfectly grilled as was the bun. The fries were fresh cut, homemade with skin on! The loaded chips are great, but everything else is super basic. The ambiance is awful. The restaurant is unbearably loud and it isn't very family friendly. The worst part would be the service: our waitress was basically nonexistent. We saw her only when she was getting our order, and then spent twenty minutes waiting for her to come back to ask for the check. They were spread much too thin to work effectively, and they did not have positive attitudes either. We also ordered a to-go order a few minutes after ordering our food but it wasn't done even by the time we got the check. Drinks were empty the whole time as well. Brought my family in for lunch, we got seated and received drinks quickly. Our server was very nice and recommended a couple different items. We ordered and then waited, and waited, and waited. Finally after about 30 min I asked how much longer and did not get an answer. So we waited a few more minutes. Finally our server came over and told us they had moved our ticket up in line and we were next. Unfortunately, after waiting over 45 min the burgers and wraps we had ordered didn't seem worth it.
