Delicious and quick service. Ordered a simple trifecta breakfast, everything came out quickly. The ambiance was cozy and the warm syrup was a nice touch for my pancake. Will return.
The food was tasty once it arrived. However, it did take a good bit of time to get to that point. The odd part was in our party of two it took an additional 10 minutes for my order to arrive after the omelette was delivered. Then I only received part of the order-- the potatoes. Took another 10 minutes for the eggs Benedict, which at that point, my other party was almost finished. It didn't make for the dining experience we had hoped for having not been imhere in years, we were really looking forward to it. The food: good, bad and other-- The Watermelon Wake up was quite refreshing and that limed mint sugar rim was on point! The eggs benwdict--- that hollandaise really brought the lemon twang! Would have been very tasty on the potatoes had there been any left at that point. The ham was perfectly thinly shaven. The poached eggs were a touch over poached with a gooey versus oozy consistency. The tomato was juicy & tasted like a solid summer tomato. The "tossed greens" were dry and lacked dressing but were fixed by the requested addition of dressing supplied. The potatoes were inconsistent in that the larger chunks were under-cooked but the ones that were smaller had a GREAT crust that almost made them taste like yummy potato pancakes with a small scattering of well done onions! The ham & grueye omelette was enjoyed (with the same issue on the tossed mixed greens). I would consider returning but for the $75 pricetag (after tax and tip), it wouldn't be too soon, unfortunately...
Another fantastic return visit to First Watch! Their seasonal specials truly keep bringing us back. We started with the blueberry cornbread and lemon butter--oh wow! Absolutely delicious. I could've easily eaten a few of these, but they're generously sized, so sharing was perfect. Next, we tried the breakfast special with steak chimichurri, eggs, and hash. It was fabulous--decadent, savory, and packed with flavor. We also shared the fluffy, delicious ricotta lemon pancakes (two huge stacks!), and they did not disappoint. Light, lemony, and perfectly cooked. Their coffee is some of the best out there and we try them all! Our server was so attentive and perfectly interactive. Every visit reminds us why we love coming here. Consistently great food, creative seasonal offerings, and a wonderful experience all around. We'll definitely be back again...and again!
Food was delicious, service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming and the smell of food was amazing!
We went on a Tuesday morning and there was no wait. Megan was our waitress and she was great. Very pleasant and attentive. Food and coffee were good. We had blueberry cornbread, the Chickenchanga, and the traditional breakfast. All decent sized servings.
Our order was initially placed at 12:19 for a 12:36 pickup time. We did not make it to the store to pick the order up until after 1pm. We were directed to the pickup station, where we saw two bags next to each other; one with our order name on it and one without. We grabbed the initial bag with our order name(and bag number on it #1). The second bag had no name, order number, or bag number written on the sticker. After coming home and opening the bag(around 2:15pm) we had only received 3 of our main entrees and our entire kids entree without the drink. We called the restaurant around 2:20pm to inform them we were missing multiple items. I believe we were speaking to Piper at the time. We were told that they were closing in 9 minutes and offered to remake the food that we were missing in the morning. We told them that we were unable to come back in the morning, and that we would like to return for our missing items. The woman on the phone told us that we can come back, let her know what we were missing, and it would be remade for us. We returned to the store at 2:36p, and asked for Piper. Piper immediately handed us a bag and informed us that both bags were for us, even though the second bag had zero indication of that being true. I would also like you to keep in mind that our food was not remade after sitting on a shelf for over an hour; we were handed cold food. I asked Piper if she could remake the kids apple juice that was sitting on the second shelf, on the opposite side of where she said our bags were sitting. She said that the apple juice that was in the shelf was perfectly good, and that they did not add any ice so it wouldn't be watered down. We refused because we are not interested in giving a child an apple juice with no cover that had been sitting on a shelf with no supervision. Ince she noticed that we dis not want the old apple juice she promptly asked if we would like a fresh one. After grabbing the fresh juice we went back to our car and opened up the bag(which I believe we should have opened before we left the restaurant). In the second bag there was one Entree that was missed completely, with an incorrect side, and we were given our appetizer that was also missing, but nothing else. We called someone who was home with the first bag of food to be sure that we were still missing multiple items, and then we went back to the door to find it locked(completely understandable as they had closed) someone unlocked the door for us while blocking the entrance and we asked for Piper again. This time we were initially called liars, as Piper repeatedly said that she packed the order herself and was certain nothing was missing. I offered to have the person at home send a picture of what we received in our first bag, and didn't get a response. I told her that we had no reason to lie, and didn't get a response. She impatiently listened to us as we told her all the sides we were missing, quickly walked back inside to have a few of our sides made and handed us another bag. I let her know that we were still missing a side(specifically the grits that was with one of our entrees) and she repeated again that she packed the order herself. I showed her the entree in the bag that she just gave us and let her know that its not in any of the two bags she handed me. She then said they had run out of grits and it would have to be refunded. And then repeated again that she packed it herself(once again making a notion that we were lying). At this point we had been standing and going back and forth with her for almost 15 minutes and still didn't have our entire order nor was it correct but was also receiving attitude, which was unnecessary. We have been to First Watch multiple times (usually sitting on the patio) and we have an amazing time every single time. This is the first time we have such an issue with First Watch and its very disappointing. This review has been emailed to the customer service team as well on the website. And i want to reiterate that First watch has amazing food! I believe they need to re train some of their staff on customer service. I have never had such an issue with anyone in First Watch before today.
Great food and an early morning breakfast are available for all early birds like me. The First Watch offers the classic French Toast breakfast that my husband loves.
Busy Sunday morning with a 30-minute wait. Cool interior and waitress was nice and pleasant. Breakfast tacos (3) were good. Bloddy Mary, better. Especially the bacon! Big menu with other interesting items.
We hadn't visited First Watch in months. Should have avoided it altogether. I ordered " Traditional Eggs Benedict " with potatoes on the side. I'm including a photo of the dish. Sliced deli ham on a very hard hoagie roll with eggs and tomato with a sauce that was so lemony that it overpower everything. I could barely cut through the roll. Finally gave up and scraped the eggs off and ate them. The potatoes were so overcooked they were burnt. My husband had to send his meal back too. Waffle was raw in the middle and the bacon looked like it had been drenched in grease. It was awful. Our server was friendly and was obviously embarrassed. We won't be back.
Not a bad brunch spot. They have a lot of options on their menu and there is always something to choose from. If you're going on a Sunday after church, I highly recommend putting in your name online as they usually have a line going out the door. I think the staff here is friendly and works really hard to accommodate the tables they are assigned to. They almost appear overworked, but I know they're trying their best and I always have a great experience. As for the food, it's nothing special. I think for what you get, it is reasonably priced and tastes good, but nothing blew me away. I think it's a great option for a quick breakfast/brunch and you're not looking to spend too much.
I had the pleasure of enjoying food with my mom from First Watch on Friday 17 August 2024 [ This was our first time trying this place ] !! I ordered the TriFecta for the both of us with an Iced Coffee for me and she opted for the Purple Haze ,, The food tasted absolutely amazing but there were a few cons such as the portion size of the food being smaller than expected ( the 1 Sausage for the TriFecta meal for example and also the Iced Coffee had absolutely no sugar in it .. ) Due to the price that I paid in total I was just expecting a larger portion!! Giving this restaurant 4 Stars!! I think that I will be a possible visitor again in the future!!

We spotted in for a late breakfast. The food and service were both excellent. The place was packed but we were in and out. Daniel took great care of us and was overall a great server. We will definitely be back. The ingredients are fresh and I loved the fruit. read more

I tried this restaurant when it first opened. It bc was not a good experience but we decided to try it again. We got seated right away. The atmosphere was busy, loud, and very cold. Our waiter approached right away to take our drink order. Immediately let us know the kitchen was behind about 30-minutes. We placed our order and got our drinks pretty quickly. So far it's looking up. Or so we thought. 35 minutes in and the waiter approaches again saying it will be 10 more minutes. He did not ask if we needed another drink or clear our empty glasses. Finally our food comes, but only half of each of our orders. My husband got avocado toast with crab and eggs. (No eggs). I got the banana fosters French toast and bacon (no bacon). Waiter comes back to see how we are. We tell him we are both missing food. More excuses. We tried to order another drink but he scurried off too quickly. We finish our food and out comes my bacon. My husband gets another full order but only takes the eggs. We finally order another drink but wait 15 more minutes. I'm literally laughing how bad the service is and lack of working together was ridiculous. Someone comes over now to clear our first dirty dishes that several ignored. And all commented about the table being small. I go to pay and ask how my meal was. I told the young person at the register and he responds with telling me I can swipe my card to pay. Um ok then. Over 2 hours and the food we did get was ok. No comping anything or apology. Only excuses and bad service. I will never go back and sad because the location is good. Over $60 to top it all. Sad experience. read more

When your food comes out cold. Cold to where your butter is not melting at all in your grits. Your eggs are also cold. Seriously? It's a breakfast joint. Breakfast food should be served hot. Well, we never saw a manager or any body that cared. Thanks for a shitty breakfast. The mimosas were the only thing palatable. And....we were just prompted to pay our bill even though we have half full drinks. read more

Great addition to our breakfast/brunch scene in Mt P. Love the patio- inside cute but noisy. Menu has a lot of favorites for most. Giant pancakes, eggs Benny, big salads, and egg dishes galore. I enjoyed the Monterey Club on gluten-free bread w salad. The drinks are nice - The orange/beet fresh juice mix was delicious. Service was good. Tip- check in on line to shorten the wait. read more
We are definitely breakfast people and my wife and I are always looking to find a good place to enjoy the first meal of the day. We found First Watch on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Fortunately, we arrived early enough to be seated as soon as we arrived. The server brought us our drinks and menu which highlighted that they use quality ingredients. I also noticed that they only offer whole grain breads. Looks good so far. We ordered the Million Dollar Bacon to share, my wife ordered the Traditional Breakfast which consists of eggs, sausage, home fries, and toast. I had the Classic Eggs Benedict. The Million Dollar Bacon was good and had a little bit of kick from the cayenne but nothing special. I would have liked to see them use thick cut bacon. My wife said she enjoyed her Traditional Breakfast and particularly liked the sausage. The Classic Eggs Benedict was pretty good but definitely not "classic." The poached eggs were perfect and the sauce was good but instead of Canadian Bacon, they used thinly sliced ham and instead of English muffins they used a half of a toast sub roll. As a result I didn't get that bite of thick Canadian Bacon I normally associate with Eggs Benedict. Don't get me wrong, it was good but far from traditional. Regardless, the service was excellent and the food was good. I definitely tasted the quality. Ohhh, the also serve some adult beverages suitable for brunch although we didn't have any this time. read more

Ok. This was a new restaurant for us to try. There's a generous menu and the place looks inviting. However we're well past the longest estimate for seating. We know when we checked in based on a welcome text. People around us say the food is good, but it's hard to rate food when you're not actually in the restaurant. Heavy sigh. Will update after full experience. read more

I've been wanting to try First Watch for awhile but I always seem to find myself wanting to try it inconveniently on the weekends when the wait time is crazy! Well, I decided to give it a try on a weekday and was welcomed and seated by the hostess immediately. What a great breakfast, brunch, lunch joint this addition has been to Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. They have so many items on their menu, so there's something for everyone. I got the Frittata Rustica entrée and an item from their seasonal/special menu, Pumpkin Spiced Donut Holes as a starter. Those donut holes are deliciously dangerous, and I would order and eat a few more dozen of them had I not ordered the frittata dish. The frittata was tasty and the egg was cooked to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and would happily choose this as my regular breakfast joint if I had to choose. I will certainly be back very soon. In the meantime, I will be praying that the Pumpkin Spiced Donut Holes stay permanently on their menu. read more

It was ok. I love healthy food and at first glance, it seems this spot is fairly health-conscious. Ah but the sugar is on overload with fancy French Toast and Belgium Waffles. I decided on early lunch and picked the BLTE minus the E, egg. A small salad was my side choice but when it came it was only mixed greens. No other veggies that typically come for that upcharge. I gave it 3 stars for the amazing bread and friendly staff. I will go back just to try the lemon ricotta pancakes. read more

I love this place, we come here almost every other week now... For MTP it's solid Good breakfast & lunch choices Good drinks, and I love that they give you a whole craft of water for your table and/ or coffee if you order it, they also have flavored creamers! Seriously...pretty much anything you order here is good... You may have to wait for a table for weekend brunching but trust me it's worth it! read more

This was my second time at this location and sad to say it was not much better than the first. Food and drink were tasty but the wait times and just a total feeling of confusion out weight everything else. Ambiance is loud with lots of echoing, don't think I will be back for quite some time. read more

My husband and I wanted to try a new place for brunch and this place did not disappoint! We ate like the king and queen we are and everything was such great quality. With the free WiFi and free refill coffee we sat, talked and enjoyed planning our fun future together in peace. So yes, only two people ate all of this food and did so gladly lol. Our waitress was kind and accommodated our tapas style request by allowing us to try (pay for) just the key items on the menu. She also was glad to prepare me hot lemon water which isn't a normal request for most places. Our bill ended up being $33 (not including tip) for all of the goodness you see Enjoy!! read more

Great food.. HOWEVER when I got there they said it was a 10 minute wait.. waited 30 minutes with no word. Went back inside and was seated right away. It seemed like they forgot about us. Waitress was great and attentive but food took another 30-40 mins to come out. Great food, bad wait. read more

My wife and I were there on the weekend recently and I saw an advertisement for the Brooklyn Breakfast sandwich I had to have being recently moved here from Brooklyn. The service was very good but they had a lot of customers. Unfortunately the sandwich wasn't very good at all. Hardly looked like the sandwich advertised. I'll give it another shot soon hopefully it will live up to Brooklyn name. read more

I huge fan of First Watch. Super high quality food and huge portions. Friendly servers First Watch is a "chain" and fell in love with them in Ohio where there aren't as many options. The Mt Pleasant version is just as good as the mid-West version. read more

First Watch was a great atmosphere, however, the food was not up to par! We had the classic eggs benedict and it was so disappointing! It had a lemon flavor in the hollandaise sauce that gave the dish a horrible taste. Secondly, instead of using canadian bacon they used regular ham cold cuts. Then the most bizarre thing was half the plate had a huge handful of plain arugula on the plate for no reason. Coffee was so strong you almost couldn't drink it. We waited for our food for 25-30 min. Waitress was very nice, but we won't be back. read more

We came here before our son's soccer game for breakfast. Excellent service! From start to finish. Hayden was our waiter and he is a true gem. So personable, very helpful with the menu and made great suggestions. Highly recommend to anyone wanting good breakfast/brunch or lunch. I really came for the cinnamon toast cereal milk drink but they don't serve alcohol until 10 ITS AMAZING! Try it if you are here after 10am read more
