Bit while itbmay look like just another deli, Mozzo's sandwiches are prepared expertly and with high quality ingredients. The Balboa is a simple but satisfying sando, exactly like thr Balboa that hails from Westchester County NY. At Mozzo it is thinly sliced rate toast beef thay has been warmed up and capped by melted provolone, then served on toasted sourdough garlic bread with perfectly caramelized sweet onions. In fact it is better that the NY original. The breakfast sandwiches are also great, featuring classics like bacon, egg, & cheese on a toasted everything bagel. That menu! [heart eyes] SO many things I want to eat here. I love a casual, kid-friendly, yummy, unpretentious, spot that's open early and lets me order lunch food at normal people's breakfast time. This place is ALL those things. My son and I found their BLT wrap to be absolutely scrumptious and filling, and the oversized unsweetened iced tea was the hydration/caffeine fix I needed. 100% recommended and will definitely be back. read more

Solid 5 stars. Always great food, but writing this review because of their service. I don't like onions so either make a point of getting things w/o or special ordering. Totally misread the menu this trip and got something with onions. Went in to inform them that they made my sandwich with onions, and then realized I had misread the menu. Offered to pay for a new sandwich and they refused. Repeated that they were happy to remake it. Still embarrassed, but since I couldn't pay I thought I would leave a review to hopefully get more folks to go support them. Great food either way, at all the locations. read more

I have been going to Mozzo on Coleman for over 4 years. While I do go to the Carolina Park location when it is convenient, I always feel the Mozzo location is better (although it is more crowded). That was, until my most recent visit this Thursday. I wish I got the woman's name but she made the best sandwich I've had at any Mozzo location. I didn't realize until I paid, but I prob was a little difficult with multiple modifiers -buffalo chicken Wedge, light on the buffalo sauce, add Roquefort cheese, and pressed. I happened to be standing in the corner near the kitchen area as I watched her build my sandwich, and she treated it like a piece of art. I saw her struggle to make sure it was enough buffalo sauce but not too much, lay down each ingredient one by one but make sure the whole wedge was covered evenly, generous with the premium cheese (which they didn't charge for), and lid, press and slice it sandwich. Delivered it with a smile on her face! Definitely going to this location, over Coleman, from now on. read more

I would say this visit was average. I ordered the jerk sandwich. There wasn't that much flavor. I was pretty surprised. The ciabatta was very good. I would definitely choose that again. The staff was nice. It was very busy and took a while to get our food. The outdoor seating is a plus. I will try again but order something different. read more

We ordered takeout. Four sandwiches. All done timely and correct. Mine was the boulevard. A roast beef sandwich on a Kaiser roll. It comes with lettuce, tomato and cheese with horseradish sauce. Plentiful amount of roast beef. Everything was fresh and very tasty. Everyone else enjoyed their sandwiches as well. Restaurant was very clean, well staffed and service was great. Super yummy! Rueben sandwich was very good. The sauerkraut was fresh and delicious. The Waldorf salad was tasty. Nice counter service.

This place is a joke. Manager/owner is so rude and excuse the term an A$$. No eye contact seems like he does not even care if you are there. As we walked out he did not even say thank you for your business. So guess what buddy, I won't be back. Food is subpar and all their bread is stale and dry. See pics. Had such a delicious lunch. Even with snow on the ground staff was amazing, quick service and so kind.

Love the one in Coleman for breakfast so thought I would try this one in Carolina Park. Got a muffalata on,supposedly, ciabatta bread. The bread was flavorless and floury and untoasted - not ciabatta. They should have used the ciabatta that Costco sells across the street, would have been better. The sandwich overall was very disappointing. My friend ordered a burger and got a chicken sandwich. She didn't want to complain so she ate it. Do better. read more

I would rather make the additional 15 minute drive to the Coleman location. This location is disorganized, slow and rude. This would have been fine if the food came out well.. the first picture is the balboa I got from Coleman last Tuesday... this one I got from Carolina Park today... haha no pride sucks bc I love the mozzo on Coleman and was excited when I found out there's one right down the street. Stopped in for a quick lunch recently and was instantly struck by the extensive menu that included everything from breakfast, burgers, various hot sandwiches and traditional deli standbys. My wife and I ended up ordering eggplant parm and Cuban sandwiches with mixed fruit and tomato mozzarella salad as sides. First, the good: the Cuban was on the smallish side, but pretty solid and straightforward. The fruit and veggie sides were fresh. The eggplant parm, unfortunately, was tough and oily, served on multigrain bread that quickly became soggy. Weirdly, the more of it I ate, the more I disliked it. I wish I had tried something a bit more traditional from the deli portion of the menu. Service was mixed--one employee was friendly, another cold and detached. Overall, my impression was Mozzo suffers from a bit of an identity crisis--is it a deli, burger joint, bakery or coffee shop? All of the above? Given the newness of the establishment, maybe some kinks are still being worked out. I think I need a return visit to further ascertain its strengths and weaknesses, as my initial experience was certainly mixed. (2.75 stars). read more
