I love First Watch, we had one close to our apartment in Pembroke Pines, so I was excited to find out there was a location close to our new home in Miami. This review is based on our experience ordering via Postmates for delivery. I placed the order and received a notification that it was accepted and waited about 45 minutes before getting a phone call from the driver letting us know she arrived to pick up our food but it wasn't ready, we ordered avocado toast and coconut milk chia seed bowl, so you figure it's not a complicated order, it should be quick. It took about 30 minutes for them to give her our food, so I definitely do not recommend ordering out from here. The food itself was what was to be expected, good avo toast, my chia seed bowl was really light and fluffy with great tangy berry toppings. They did also forget my almond butter and toast that comes with it, but again, takeout is definitely not the way to go here. read more

Don't waste your time using website waitlist. Upon arrival hostess checks you in and this is when the actually wait-time begins. Food is average at best not worth 90min time, make sure to check your recipe for special tax! read more

my experience here was great they have great service and also great food overall in pricing was great and the time spent here was really great I totally love it! read more

Came by here with a few people during my time in Miami. The wait time to be seated was one hour; the wait time to receive food for a to go order was 25 minutes. We decided to pick food up and take it to go. They claim to have vegan options but I'm not so sure, as I asked the manager what was vegan on the menu and he stated some food items that had cheese on them. It didn't make me confident in ordering anything, which is unfortunate as they promote on their Yelp page that they are vegan friendly. We even asked the guy who placed our order simple questions such as "What sides does the sandwich come with?" And his response was "Probably potatoes or something". Again, I didn't feel confident with this response. Luckily I checked the menu again and it stated that the sides was either a soup or salad. At the 30 minute mark of waiting for our food, we asked how much longer for the food and the manager kept promising it would almost be ready. At the 45 minute mark we asked again only to be promised the same thing. We got our food after 55 minutes of waiting. As you can imagine, they messed up our order, forgot to give us our drinks, and the coffee literally had coffee grounds at the bottom of the cup. The food was not exceptionally delicious either. The manager tried to amend the situation by giving us a $20 gift card to the restaurant, but as out of town tourist this was useless to us. Would never return here nor recommend it. Please improve. read more

Went here for brunch this afternoon for the first time. It was a busy time, brunch on a Sunday, so a wait to get seated was expected but once we sat down the waiting continued. Once we ordered our drinks they came out fast and the waitress came immediately to the table with coffee so that was a plus. But once we ordered our meals we waited over an hour for them to come out during which time our waitress did not come to check on us at all. Our food was good but my boyfriends pancakes came out 15 minutes before the rest of our food while we saw the same dishes we ordered being served to other tables. So it seemed there was a disconnect between the kitchen and the servers. I ordered the special grilled cornbread and carnitas bowl which was the best dish at our table by far. I shared it with my friend and she shared her breakfast tacos which were just ok. My dish came without cornbread and we had to ask for it after which I was surprised since cornbread is one of the main features of the meal. I'd say the food overall was closer to 4 or even 5 stars but definitely not worth all the waiting. Overall it felt like the place had just opened and we commented several times that the communication made it feel that way. One really good thing is that you can pay your bill at the front which I really appreciated since we waited so long for everything else! read more

I have been to many locations and each one is on point! No matter which location I visit, the food is consistently fresh and delicious and the service is welcoming and attentive. My favorite things to order are the lemon ricotta pancakes and the avocado toast. The pancakes are melt in your mouth fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness and lemon. The avocado toast is hearty and satisfying and made with ripe avocados. Portions are generous and they have seasonal selections throughout the year. They tend to be very busy on weekend mornings so get the app and check in so you can be seated faster once you arrive. read more

I checked them out on yelp and let me tell you their ratings don't give them enough credit! The elevated sandwich 10/10 and their pancakes are HUGE! One is enough for me. As far as pricing goes I do feel like their pricing is reasonable! The only down fall here is COVID -19 and how we have to eat outside! It's hot and there's so many flies! read more

I ordered the pumpkins pie pancakes they were delicious. My cousin ordered the carrot juice and the tomato soup and I had a taste of both they were very yummy! We came during the lunch rush so the service was a little slow. It seems like there were short staffed. I would most likely come back because was the food was so tasty but I would come earlier in the day. read more

Literally my favorite breakfast place. Everything here is so delicious and FRESH. i can't stress the freshness enough. I usually do the traditional breakfast or the trifecta. The eggs no matter how you order them are extremely appetizing. The bacon is always cooked not too crispy or not too raw. The home fries (house potatoes) are always so delectable. The pancakes and waffles are just as delicious as well. And if you want a refreshing and tasty drink the Kale & Tonic is the way to go, definitely one of my favorites. The service is also good. Sometimes a bit of a wait but definitely worth it! read more

Went to eat here and it was packed. Staff was allowing people to be in the main area without masks on. Waited for 5-10 minutes and the staff sat people who walked in after us. We left after that. Horrible system & service. read more

Our server Hannah was so so so so so lovely. Amazing service. She remembered all our orders perfectly, was very timely and just all around seemed like a great person. She definitely made the experience great! This is also a great location. I go to first watch a lot and this one is awesome. Recommend 10/10 I love the banana granola pancakes with chocolate chips! read more

This place has GREAT healthy breakfast options! There are numerous options on the menu to choose from! I ate the tri-athlete breakfast and it was truly delicious!!! The service was amazing, everyone was friendly and happy to work there! The atmosphere was casual, welcoming, and comfortable! I will definitely return! read more

My absolute favorite breakfast spot in Miami. Nothing fancy, just really fresh comfort breakfast and brunch food. They have really good fresh juices and and pancakes. Although it gets really busy on a Saturday and Sunday morning its worth the wait! You can also add yourself to the waiting list so if you time it just right, you can arrive and be seated expeditiously. My grandparents love it here and I bring them each time I come to visit them in the area. Since corona virus, each time i come to visit i do pick up instead and the food is just as fresh and hot as when we dine in! read more

Ok ok more like 3.5 stars because the food is REALLY yummy! It's great having a place in the neighborhood where you can be a bit health conscience. From juices to açaí bowls to omelette and my favorite, the breakfast tacos! Food is always on point. Unfortunately like most places in Miami, the customer service and wait time holds me back from giving them a better rating. The "get in line" through the app is hit or miss as well as the service. Although most of the wait staff is nice, I've been about five times and I've waited at least 40 min for my food, EVERY TIME. A bit annoying since ultimately it's a "quick" place like a Denny's. Sonif you go with that in mind and you're in no rush you'll definitely enjoy the food. read more

Delicious fresh food! You get a great portion for the prices. The million dollar bacon is a must try!

First Watch is the best! It's great for breakfast or lunch, whether you're in the mood for savory or sweet. We love coming here because there are so many options (from yogurt to omelettes to pasta to sandwiches) and it's easy to find something for everyone. It's also pretty casual which makes the entire experience of dining here even more convenient. Highly recommend, wish there were more around Miami read more

I love the tomatoes bisté! It's creamy and savory. But my favorites was the sweet honey pecan salad! You have to try it!

Amazing food & fantastic service. Personally, this location is my favorite- their decor is rustic & cozy. If you need to grab breakfast before a flight out of MIA- this is the place to go! read more

Great, happy and helpful staff. One of the best breakfasts in Miami / Miami Beach area! Healthy and fresh options. The fresh juice is fantastic. All dishes are very reasonably priced. The pancakes, oh yeah, I'm a huge fan!!! My husband had a chicken burrito and he loved it! We will be back and take our guests here knowing we can count on a good hearty and healthy meals with lots of options. Thank you guys!!! read more

I've gone twice and both times were not good experiences. First time they told us almost an hour wait but we couldn't stay. Second time they told us 30 to 40 minutes and after 45 minutes we asked and they said another 20 to 25 minutes. Looks nice inside I'm not worth the wait read more

I've been here multiple times for lunch with my colleagues. My favorite is the avocado chicken salad. Caution with the broccoli cheese soup, it's been too salty the past couple of times to the point where it was not edible. The service is a hit or miss unfortunately. I'm giving it 3 stars for the delicious salads but there's room for improvement in terms of food consistency and speed of service. read more

I had been meaning to visit first watch for some time as some coworkers said the breakfast was good but I was just disappointed. It was busy so the food did take some time to come out but that didn't bother me, what did leave us surprised was that the food was cold. We thought that after all the waiting the food would be nice and hot but it felt like it had been sitting out there for a good 15 minutes, scrambled eggs were undercooked and the portion was small, the sausage was the coldest though. The flavor was good but once the food is cold and undercooked, that doesn't even matter. It wasn't the servers fault of course, she was really nice but, the guy at the front with a beard and bun was a character. We noticed he was going to seat some people that had just walked in before seating us and all I said was "but sir" and he snapped saying "I got you" a good 5 times. Should be a bit nicer considering he did sit someone else first and from the looks of it he already knew that I was going to say we had been waiting to be seated. The food issue doesn't bother me as much as a rude attendant. read more

I've gone to First watch twice. The food was ok. The wait was intense. I ended up leaving one of those two times due to the wait time and went to the Cheese cake factory, where I was seated right away. First watch is not a place I'd go to often. The staff was not friendly and the place is super small. read more

I was super excited to try out this restaurant I've heard so many good things about their locations in Orlando we finally got one here in Miami not too far from where we live we got there around 11 AM and didn't get seated till about 11:30 AM, there was a long wait outside so I understood that they were a bit busy. The server took a bit to come to our table and then took another 10 minutes to come back and take our order she didn't let us know that the coffee she was pouring us was getting charged we didn't want the coffee and didn't even drink it I had to pay for it. We ended up getting lunch because it was a little late and we were in the mood for breakfast it was two sandwiches it was the soup and a salad. my food arrived About 35 minutes later after ordering but my boyfriend who didn't get there till I was finished eating which I took my time because I didn't want to have his meal come and I be completely finished but of course that's what happened no one told us why her food was taking so long, We both got the same sandwich so I don't understand why one was sent to the table and not the other ones we kept seeing all the other food coming out in pairs but ours didn't we finally got it and I had to sit there and wait till he finished all of his food we also got an order of their potatoes which we sent back because they were flavorless and some of the potatoes were still raw. Maybe it was because the restaurant was full the service and the quality of the food is still not perfect. read more

Not super happy with the service. Only saw server once after being seated until we got our food. Can't recommend the coffee if you're a little more picky about it like I tend to be. Closest breakfast place we could find by the airport. read more

Excessive wait time and poor service. Went on a Sunday, waited an hour to be seated and then another 40 minutes for food. Took 10 minutes just to be served water and coffee. Understaffed. Unapologetic. Food was not hot and taste was average. "Million dollar bacon" was half cooked and was basically just bacon doused in maple syrup. Mediterranean eggs were good. read more

Been here several times but it seems like every time we visit the service gets worse and worse! Servers are doing their own thing, they're constantly comping dishes because they put in orders incorrect. It's a shame that service has gotten so bad because the food is good when the order is right. Won't be visiting anymore, very disappointed! read more

Always fresh and tasty. Love the Lavender lemonade and Kale juice. Million dollar bacon is delicious

AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE!!! Alex was amazing! We asked him for recommendations and suggested the million dollar bacon and million dollar sandwich, which was mouth watering. In less than 10 minutes we had the food in front of us. From beginning to end of service he was very attentive of us and made sure we were well attended to. Definitely would go back over and over again to the restaurant and would love Alex to attend to us again. read more

I was glad that First Watch in Coral Gables had a small patio with a few tables and umbrellas that allowed dogs. (One friendly waitress (not ours) joked that it was doggy day care time). Our male waiter was not as cheery at all, but he dutifully took our orders and our food arrived. My husband had the "trifecta" and liked the pancake that came with it. He doesn't eat meat so asked for extra potatoes. Too bad First Watch doesn't use one of the many good "vegetarian sausages". I had the "traditional" - two eggs, chicken sausage, and potatoes. Potatoes were dry, and overcooked, some were burned. Eggs were OK, although I don't believe they are locally sourced. This is a breakfast, brunch and lunch spot so you would think that good coffee would be an essential. Sadly, not, although the waiter did leave a small pot. The large slices of toast were good. I understand the bread comes from Ohio's Orlando Bakery. The lukewarm orange juice was not the fresh-squeezed delight you might expect in sunny Florida. read more
