Oh First Watch, what have you done with my beloved Breakfast Scramble? I definitely gave this place high marks for food and service months ago. I have no idea what has happened! Today we arrived to an almost empty restaurant, where someone in a chef's coat greeted us. There was only one waitress working - she said someone had called in sick - and it appeared that only one person may have been in the kitchen. Needless to say, service was not prompt and attentive. I can forgive a little slow service, but what in the world happened to the food and the dishes??? Cold tap water used to come in a round glass bottle with lid, hot syrup was in a pourable container with a handle - not an olive oil dispenser that causes you to burn your hand - and my Breakfast Scramble....what in the world happened there? It used to be scrumptious layers of hearty bread, thin sliced ham, spinach, fluffy eggs, and Hollandaise. Now it's hunks of ham, with egg and spinach, fried into a flat mess. So disappointing. And don't even get me started on the cold, non crispy hashbrowns - they used to be so delicious! I hope that they soon realize why they are no longer that busy and bring back the quality. read more

There food flavors are seriously on point! Always such a great special board mix of items. There is a little bit of everything for everyone. As someone who is trying to eat healthier and get in shape this is the perfect place to help keep me on my health goals without having to cook all the time. Would love if the portions were a little bigger. Just the Hoosier in me is used to bigger portions. Everything is fresh and good service is usually never an issue. This was my second visit to a First Watch, first time to this location. I am struck by the sense of pride in every employee there. Management is doing all the right things. Everyone was smiling and welcoming, uniforms were clean, even the facilities were spotless. Then you have the thoughtful and creative menu. Wonderful healthier versions of all your favorite breakfast fare without sacrificing any flavor. Prices are very reasonable. Expect a line, but it tends to move quickly. Short wait even on a Sunday at noon. Sat in a small outside seating area that was comfortable and quiet. Avocado toast on point! Girlfriend had the strawberry smash juice and holy smokes it was good. Also, her multigrain banana granola crunch pancakes - SO GOOD. My only complaint is that their iced tea is way weak but everything else more than made up for that. I'm so glad we decided to stop here on our way out of town! The decor is bright, clean, and inviting. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly, especially our waitress who went out of her way to offer samples of each of the three featured juices (which were all delicious!) The food here is always fresh. We love the seasonal menus (like the million dollar breakfast sandwich and the braised short rib hash! Divine!) and juices but the standby's are also great. The elevated egg sandwich is a favorite as are the lunch sandwiches all around. THIS location happens to be our favorite because of the incredible staff here. The chickenchanga was delightful! It was perfect blend of spices. It was rather busy so it took us a while to get our food but once it arrived it was so yummy. The one star is not based on the food, but on the improper handling of a situation. I was with a friend of mine for breakfast. Our order was served quickly and the food was very good. Ambience of the restaurant was also nice and relaxing. At the end of our meal, the waitress had dropped off our check and brought us two ice teas to go (very appreciated). The waitress had a large glass of milk on her tray that she accidentally hit and I got soaked from my shoulder to my shoes. Plus it pooled on the booth seat- I was drenched in milk. She apologized, handed me paper towels to dry myself, and tried to clean the area. I was stunned when I got to the register to pay that I was charged full price. Yes I ate the breakfast, but thought it would have been classy and in good taste, to comp my breakfast. I had to go back home to shower and change before resuming the day. Moral of the story: First Watch was a nice place with good food. If you choose to go (I will NOT), bring an umbrella or a change of clothes and definitely do NOT expect them to take care of the customer on a mishap. read more

We searched Yelp for a new breakfast spot to check out & were excited about the menu options. We were sat rat away, (outside) and provided a seasonal menu along with the traditional options. Eager to try out one of the Benedict options, I went with the Salmon while my husband had the Traditional. It was one of the best eggs Benedict's I've had the pleasure of tasting. The eggs were perfectly poached and even when going to cut into my second one, it yielded the scrumptious runny yolk. My salmon was prepared perfectly and there was enough hollandaise sauce left to scoop my potatoes into. My husband mentioned he would have preferred a thicker ham, as opposed to the thin sliced, but I chalk it up to personal preference. We both opted for a side of potatoes instead of the greens, which were cooked to perfection. Our waitress was helpful, kind & quick to help. The pancakes are run of the mill but large. The very good: the hashes, specifically the revolution hash. OMG the waffles. The coffee is good as well. Please be adventurous. They will not disappoint. The service is above average and the decorum is adequate. On the water: It's served as if it's a $5 bottle of water. Do not worry. It's free (and quite good). If you get the right dishes this place is an incredible value around $10. If the menu was such that you could not order a dud, mediocre, meal by accident I would rate 5 stars. read more

They always have a seasonal menu including special juices and you are missing out if you don't try them. If I could drive through really quickly and pick one up on my way to work every day I would. What a great addition to the west 86th street area. In a strip mall by trader joes and pier one. Not too crowded on a Saturday morning at ten am. Quick friendly service and good coffee with lots of flavored creamers. I had a hash breakfast with zucchini mushrooms potatoes spinach with two eggs on top. It also had herbed goat cheese which I asked for on the side. It was really good. It came with an English muffin and fresh fruit. My husband ordered the tri athlete omelet. It was made with egg whites Mushrooms, green peppers. He was very happy with his meal. It also came with an English muffin and a cup of fruit. First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. Went in for lunch but had a breakfast item and it was GOOD! A good portion without being overwhelmed. The Watermelon Wake Up drink was a nice detour from an ice tea or lemonade. Not me...they did remake it. The server didn't ask my husband if he want a drink when he stop by to offer coffee. We weren't offered water either. Went here for the first time yesterday morning when craving a good breakfast after a long night shift at work. The interior is light and clean with cozy booths and tables scattered throughout that makes it feel like a great place to go for a relaxing meal. I had the "crepeggs", basically an omelette wrapped in a crepe, and it was very good. Next time, I've got my eye on the "Elevated Egg Sandwich"! First of all, I love First Watch. I go Whenever I'm in Venice, FL on vacation, or when visiting my daughter in Pittsburgh. I've always had great service and food. The restaurants are large and spacious and have a good vibe. Today was my first visit to this Indy location. It is a small place in a strip mall next to a Starbucks. It was not busy. My experience has often been waiting in line for a table. I think it may be the ambiance here. It lacks what the other's I've visited have - a good layout. I had a problem because I got what I assume was food poisoning from a breakfast hash - fried potatoes, onions, peppers, goat cheese with 2 friend eggs on top. It came with toast and fruit. When it came, it looked great. My first bite had what I thought a strange taste - but I was hungry and the next bite was better. I could only eat about 1/3 and was no longer hungry. I never tried the fruit cup and only ate 1/4 of the toast. Soon symptoms started. A couple hours later and I still am having stomach cramps so I call to nicely let them know. I didn't expect a free meal, I just wanted to apprise them of the situation so no one else was affected. The reply was, " the health dept was here this morning and everything was fine". Now, I would have refused a free meal, but c'mon, at least make an offer. I'm sure if I go back everything would be fine. I won't go back. Not to this location. read more

I stopped by here after an early morning meeting yesterday and ordered take out. It was actually my first time eating here so I was excited to try something new. My experience was positive from the time I entered and left the restaurant. It wasn't until I got home when I realized that I didn't receive all of my order. Mistakes happen so I wasn't upset. I called the restaurant to let them know that my order was incorrect. The person I spoke to was very apologetic and friendly. I was told that a manager would call me back. Unfortunately this did not happen and I have yet to hear from anyone. I guess customer service is not a priority of this business read more
