This may be a duplication because I see all my photos here but not in the original post. I selected update instead of edit and it resulted in this new post. When I'm back in Houston I'll plan to visit again. Food, service and the atmosphere were in point.

The front hostess Hannah was very pleasant and friendly as she seated us to our table. We ordered a different plate today some Italian hash and was making a suggestion to the server Angelica who was so polite and kind. She then offered to replace the meal and we explained to her that it wasn't necessary we are always happy here. However, the pumpkin pancake was so delicious Manager Calvin came to us directly and was so nice and professional and wanted to ensure us that sometimes a mistake is made but they take pride in their restaurant and appreciated our comment. Now this is the best if any management experience that my hubby and I have ever experienced together. 5 stars to this establishment.

I haven't been to this place in years did not have a good experience the first time not at this location though my wife said let's give it another try and to my surprise it was amazing a complete 180 food was really good. We like the ambience inside as well very calming.

Update: Made another visit to First Watch because I was craving the BEC, and additionally tried the Floridian French Toast. Was super good and the fruit was fresh. Service was also fantastic this morning that we went, wish I remembered the server's name to shout him out because he really was great. Restaurant was very clean and made for a nice morning

I like to write about a place while I'm here when the food is so good, the waitress and rest of the staff are so friendly, and when the establishment is so beautiful inside! I ordered the Works Omelet, grits, and a side of sausage. Everything, and I mean everything down to the toast, had its own flavor. The grits were so buttery it literally melted in my mouth. The toast came out with butter spread already on top with a side of jam. I wish I knew what kind of bread they use and what jelly that was. I ate both pieces. And the omelet was its own attraction! So, you know how sometimes you get an omelet, and the insides are minimal. Like it's barely any meat, or onions and mushrooms. So, I ordered a side of sausages just in case. Well, this was not the case here; there were plenty of sausages, ham, mushrooms, veggies, onion, etc One more thing to boot: this place smelled so good. I noticed that as I walked in the door. It was a very pleasant fragrance in the air. But most of all, this is a happy place, a friendly place; it was nice to see the staff joking and playing with each other while helping each other to make sure no one was overwhelmed because it was crowded. But the service was fast, getting everyone situated at their table and food ordered. And a special thank you to my waitress, the cute girl with her hair pulled up in a ball on top of her head. I don't know why my pictures are not coming up.

First watch I can honestly say is my new favorite brunch spot close to home. The setup is amazing and can be very intimate! Right when you step in the door you are greeted with amazing service! The restaurant is also very clean. Sitting at the table gave me an old fashioned feel with the coffee cups sitting the table. Our server Shannon was amazing! He made sure our food was fresh and treated us with such kindness. He also let us taste try a few new drinks on the menu! Because they make fresh juice daily here. The wait time was just perfect for food! And very fresh! No more than ten to fifteen minutes. The parking lot is shared with other businesses but the parking is not to bad. Shannon also left us a quote on a card it was such a kind gesture. Definitely will be returning.

The restaurant wasn't too busy but very unorganized, or understaffed don't know which. I was by myself and was sat at a table at 1240 at 1252 the waiter came to see if I wanted coffee I said no just water and I was ready to order so I did. At 102 waiter brought water ( so took 10 minutes must have gone to the well) about 15 minutes later food was delivered. Salad had way to much dressing and didn't have much lettuce only 1 small pieces of avocado the half sandwich was ok. There were a lot dirty table. The waiter would interact with other table that have only women for long periods but didn't say more than 10 words to me. Over all don't think I would go back.

Annel H.

Great place for brunch or breakfast! Delicious food, clean place, great service! Our waiter was amazing he was polite and attentive! He made some suggestions that I absolutely loved. Felt very welcomed over all. Vast parking space.

Came to First Watch for Sunday brunch and it was a pack house. The hostess said it would be a 30 min wait. She asked for my name and phone number so they can send me a text to my phone. We literally waited for 2 mins and our table was ready. Bella was really sweet and took our orders. Very tentative and checked if we need anything. The place is a little chaotic but I didn't expect anything less since it was a Sunday. Food was great! I had the fall special, the Modern Croque Madame. It's one my favorite and definitely would get it again.

Croque Madame on the Fall 2022 menu. Don't miss it!

Leah G.

The new Fall 2022 menu is great. The Croque Madame is cravable!! The egg dish is covered in Parmesan cream sauce and fresh tomato and Bacon!!! First Watch serves many breakfast dishes with a small lemon dressed salad which is a great compliment to their rich decadent meals. Secret: a kind server may give you a little take home of their amazing Lemon White Vinegar Balsamic Vinaigrette! (At least ask) I absolutely LOVE that I can get in line before I leave my house in the online app. The staff at the Lakewood location is always wonderful and welcoming. We always get a Morning Meditation juice to start the day. I highly recommend First Watch anytime!

Churros , Smoked Salmon frittata and turkey bacon sandwich either tomato soup.

One thing that most Houston and nearby places have is the lack of good service ... First Watch management must be doing a great work because the service at this location is unique ... the attention to detail and how the servers make sure you're having a good time while enjoying. Your food. Samantha our server the best I've encounter in Texas. But not only her other servers not assigned to our table received us with a smile and welcome greeting. A good communication between them and a a good work environment ... you can see the employee faces when they walk by the co-workers they share the same smile they share with the customers. We will be back for sure! ... this service is priceless!!!!

Zalika T.

Thank you Shannon for the card. This is has been a hard week and your card made my day. Thank you for the exceptional service and thoughtful! Continue your beautiful journey!

Had breakfast here to celebrate a friend's birthday. I like the ambience, bright and welcoming. Ordered the avocado toast with sunny side up eggs, I couldn't finish them, the serving was humongous! These guys bought out The Egg and I! Different lay out (I like it!), different menu(I like it more better! :), and the food at my first try was so-so. It fit my need for breakfast, but, for $27.00, I miss my Egg and I! I loved The Egg and I "Wisconsin Scramble". I got an order to go from First Watch, and it was less than expected. The Belgian Waffle was good but the eggs and bacon were cold. I live 3 mins away. The eggs looked like they were shotgunned (see pic) into the styrofoam carryout container. Smh! I will give them another try and see how it works out. Until then, 3 stars is the best I can award. read more

I see why this place is popular.. there aren't many breakfast/brunch options available in this area. Open one up and you'll make good money in South Tomball. I ordered a granola bowl for $9. I expected something magical. The quality and amount you receive is nothing to write home about. The service is also very poor so you walk out feeling even more ripped off... I would go to Another Broken Egg or Black Walnut.. your money will be spent better at those places. read more

For dinner, I ordered the Chilean sea bass, which was really good, but the star of the night was the ostrich filet that my colleague had ordered. It was so delicious and definitely something I wasn't expecting to love as much as I did. And the desserts...to die for! The crème brûlée and sticky toffee pudding were both incredible. You can choose to sit either inside or outside. We went with the Houston Restaurant week menu which features some of their most popular dishes. For the appetizer, we tried the sautéed calamari and gumbo. The calamari had a nice creamy garlic sauce which paired well the sautéed bell pepper, onions, and tender calamari. Their gumbo is solid, not too spicy and had nicely cooked rice and a mix of toppings. The rice had a good bite and absorbed the flavor from the gumbo well. I would recommend the sautéed calamari. For entrees, we ordered the wild caught king clip and steak Diane. The very buttery king clip comes with sautéed spinach and is basted in a creamy, slightly lemony sauce which compliments both elements of the dish. The kingclip is garnished with micro greens and comes with an extra lemon for additional acidity, but I felt that it wasn't needed. The steak Diane had a medium cook and was soooo tender to the bite. I would recommend both, but partial towards the king clip if you want to try something unique! Lastly for dessert, I ordered the passion fruit crème brûlée which had such a unique flavor profile! The tartness of the passion fruit goes surprisingly well with the warm vanilla custard. The texture of the creme brûlée toasted sugar top was perfect as well and added a really nice crunch to every bite. My friend ordered their sticky toffee pudding, which was arguably the best one I've had yet. The toffee syrup is incredibly rich and adds a nice caramelized flavor to the ice cream and moist cake base. It's garnished with bits of sugary crumble and fruit. You really can't go wrong with either, but if I had to pick, their sticky toffee pudding is a must try. All in all, such a fun and intimate dining experience!

That was not a good sign. We sat down with the food which to be fair looked pretty good. The stuffed baked potato was good. The sliced brisket was way too salty for our taste. The potato salad was good and so was the sausage. after mentioning it to the manager about the brisket, he did rectify the problem and brought over some center sliced, which was Much better. Banana pudding was just ok. It is a cute little place but it's not close to us. I hope that the kitchen takes the couple suggestions with lighter salt on the brisket and scrap the Mac and cheese and start over with a new recipe.

The waitress welcomed us, took our drink order, and got our drinks to us promptly. She then took our order, but that's when things went drastically down hill. The waitress was great, hence the three stars, but the pace at which the kitchen got the food out, the uneven temperature in the food, and the fact that my son waited for nearly 30 minutes for his food (which we were told that the GM was the one who finally made it) was unsatisfactory. It is a shame that our experience was spoiled by the kitchen staff, but if the kitchen is the heartbeat of the restaurant, the Spring Broken Yolk needs a heart check. I understand that rushes happen, I have worked in a kitchen myself, but then the management needs to step up and come to the table and address it.
