I am not exaggerating when I say this is maybe my 20th something time ordering from this place where half of my order is MISSING. Why do I give them so many chances? Because their food is excellent. But it's quite unfortunate they can't get it together for to go orders. I need to stop giving them chances. Forget calling them and telling them all of your entrees are missing, they won't even answer the phone. Having worked restaurants for many years and also to-gos, I don't think I can even sympathize with them, because how are you messing up SO BAD that I literally cannot receive a correct order every single time I get food from here? Every. single. time!!!!! It's so ridiculous. Maybe stop taking to-gos and Uber Eats if you quite literally can't do them. It's actually concerning that multiple grown adults cannot check to see if all items are present on a list. Are you serious? Do you really not know how to do that? Wow!!! At least I see other reviews that back me up so I know I'm not the only one this happens to. First Watch is famously known for messing up to go orders. This isn't just the fault of whoever is running to-gos, it's also the managers' fault for not correcting this repetitive mistake. Because again, this has happened MULTIPLE TIMES before. Just quit your job if you're that bothered by doing it. You truly don't care to fix your ongoing problems that multiple people have raised concern about. Yikes. read more

It's so frustrating that I'm having this same experience no matter which location I order from. Every single time I get a to-go order from First Watch, my order is either half missing, I received somebody else's food, or my order gets canceled on me just like today. I waited over an hour just to be notified that they canceled my order. I can understand that it's the holiday season so that's why they're busy. But I've seen other restaurants notify customers both on ordering apps and on their website about waiting times, or straight up say they are no longer accepting to-gos due to how busy it is. That's fine as long as you get a heads up. First Watch however doesn't do this and they cancel your order if they're too busy. You don't do that. It sucks because their food is so good. My household has health problems so we are not going into the physical restaurants at this time, so it's frustrating that this is our experience every single time no matter what First Watch location we order from. I can excuse one or two hiccups but we've had horrible experiences every single time ordering to-go. They are an extremely unorganized company because every location has proven to us that they don't know what they're doing. read more

This location is definitely the lower standard of service and food compared to the Union Hills location. When I came in, no one greeted me at the door. It wasn't a big deal, but there was a man standing behind the cash register, which is next to the door, staring at me not saying a word. I was meeting a friend that was already sat, so instead of waiting for him to say anything, I just walked straight to the table. The waitress was nice when she came that single time to ask if I wanted anything other than water. My friend had already ordered for me, so there was nothing left for me to really say to her but she neglect to stop by during and after our meals. It wasn't busy at all. There's not really an excuse when it's not busy and workers are standing around staring into space. The food was actually terrible. I ordered the BLT Benedict with a salad. My salad had no dressing. Not even a hint of lemon juice. My eggs were completely overcooked (linked photo). Benedict eggs are suppose to be running and soft. This one was hard boiled. This place is hit or miss. We've been a number of times and about half the time it's great and the other half it's a mess. Most recently we had the seasonal special, a short rib omelette. The shredded meat was great, but the chopped onions (shallots I think) are lazily chopped, still strung together, making some bits undercooked and some caramelized. It's inconsistent. The side greens are great all the time though. We also had the ham Gruyère omelette. It's dry and lacking creativity, topped with a melted slice of cheese. I ordered a side of Hollandaise to try and make it edible, but the Hollandaise was extremely lemony and didn't combine well with the sweet ham. The coffee is mediocre. Their toast and homemade jam is exceptional. I like that they have some healthy and keto options, but we're running out of patience with the inconsistency. The service is generally good. read more

I come here a lot with my family for brunch and we will continue coming. We came here for Father's Day brunch and wasn't busy as we came about an hour before they closed. Still packed house. My dad ordered a huge blueberry pancake, mom ordered breakfast tacos with black beans, and I got the french toast with fresh fruit. Our orders came out but my French toast was missing the fruit, so I had to remind the server to bring the fruit. Other than that, all our dishes were phenomenal. I ate everything on my plate! I have been to first watch multiple times at multiple locations for breakfast and the great food is what keeps me coming back! I went a few minutes early to meet a friend and put our name in to get a table. I only waited 10 minutes and had a comfortable booth. Our server was friendly and efficient and service was excellent. Just found this First Watch restaurant looking through Yelp for new restaurants in my area. I have been to many of the First Watch locations, but didn't know about this one. Very clean, nice area and the service and food were excellent. I always get the Lemon Ricotta pancakes when I go, and they are very good. My husband ordered the equivalent of a Denver omelette, which came with potatoes, which were deliciously seasoned, and thick toast, which came with their yummy homemade jam. I strongly encourage folks to give First Watch a try for breakfast or lunch (no dinner served). It is always a very enjoyable experience at any location. This one is closer to my home than the others, which makes it nice. read more

This was my first visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought for sure I'd be ordering avocado toast if it was a menu item...and it was...but so many other things sounded fantastic, too! The server helped me narrow it down and was very helpful about the menu overall. I ended up ordering the Farmhouse Skillet that included fresh tomatoes, onions, avocado, and crispy potatoes with eggs. It was served with a side of fruit & toast. The coffee was rich and served at a great temperature, the setting was awesome, and the Lenny Kravitz music was a bonus for this lady! We waited 30 minutes to get seated while watching a good 25% of open tables... that's ok I guess.. we ordered food at 11:05 we got our food at about noon... and it was wrong ... they blamed the kitchen and said they would make it to go and took it off the ticket ( another 15 minutes )... thanks but we would rather pay and get our food in a reasonable time and correct... service people were nice but it seemed like a lot of chicken with your head cut off and management seemed incompetent. My fiancé always gets the chickichanga and when they brought it out to our table, it was maybe 1/2 the size it normally is, potatoes were hard, undercooked, and under seasoned. RARE was a Sunday we didn't spend here in the last year+. Previous reviews explain the steep decline of quality. We sat outside waiting for a table for close to 30 mins, able to see tables out back either empty or not cleaned to seat others. We finally get in only to witness the same cycle for new customers trying to eat (see pic). Wait staff is less than competent once you finally sit, seems no one is happy to work here anymore. Our bacon came out half raw, brought back from kitchen only seared the 2nd time. This was the last straw. We have given this place months to get it right again, and it has not. I have to say, hands-down, this is one of the better First Watch locations. Both well-staffed and well-managed, the kitchen staff knows their stuff and never disappoints. The menu offerings are varied, always changing and a delight to try. While the restaurant touts healthy and gluten free items on the menu, you haven't experienced Heaven until you order a side of their million-dollar bacon. Come on, live a little! I love this location most, of the 4 I've eaten at since moving to Arizona. The street corn breakfast is friggin delightful. It is only a seasonal option, but it's the best breakfast I have had in a long time (with the exception of the Barbacoa tacos) and I wish it was a permanent menu item. PLEASE PUT THIS ON YOUR MENU! I like to try different things as often as possible but this will be my staple until it's gone. I am looking forward to the next wave of seasonal options. I have had a few different waitresses here. Weekends typically mean a mountain bike ride or road bike ride depending on the day (one of each). After a couple of hours on a bike, I'm usually not in the mood to cook and weekends are kind of made for brunch anyway! The P(rincess) and I used to drive down to the First Watch around Dunlap and I-17 but it was kind of a haul so we didn't make it but a couple of times a year. That all changed with the opening of this location minutes from home. Hearty food without the heaviness you'll find at a Dennys or Waffle House (although those are fine restaurants in what they offer). I've never had a bad meal at First Watch, the service is quick, efficient, and pleasant. What to try? I typically go back and forth between the chickichanga (sic) or the everything omelet. The sides are the wonderful house potatoes or the dressed greens with the lemon dressing (trying hard to duplicate it at home- and getting close :). They also do a nice job with seasonal offerings. Earlier this summer it was shrimp and grits and while I'm embarrassed to admit it, I'd never had grits. Loved the meal! (Had it twice). Their toast is something special too, definitely worth asking for! They also use a Yelp app that will use SMS texting to let you know when your table is ready, so you can enjoy the free coffee on the patio while chatting with the other customers. The food at these restaurants is excellent and well worth waiting for. Its not fast, but it's always well prepared and perfectly fresh. They're very busy most of the time, and for good reason. My 3 star rating is for our consistent problem getting attention from a server after finally being seated. We're usually greeted right away at the door but may wait up to 45 minutes for a table. Understandable. Checking in online before arriving helps and makes a big difference. But once we are sitting, we wait without water or coffee or even an acknowledgement from any server for upwards of 20 minutes. Every time. The staff are friendly and competent with orders and service except for the timing. This is likely a management issue and not a server issue. I am confident they will continue to work on this problem. Meanwhile, we'll be sure to visit at off-peak times. read more

Horrible horrible customer service today, came in for pick up and I just witnessed the lady at the front just being horrible to other customers waiting for their to-go order. This happened around 11 am. During this pandemic I think management needs to rethink about their employees as it looked like the woman in the front just hated being there that she had to take it out on the hard paying customers. I feel that customers that are avoiding exposure of covid-19 and pick -up/delivery drivers should be treated with respect because they are trying to support the business while in this crisis. Hire more people in the kitchen and the front to help the to-go orders. Food quality has gone downhill as well read more
