For a very rare meal out we decided on Texas Roadhouse. There were a few groups in front of us but we were seated within 5 minutes. Fernando greeted us right away to take our drink orders. We also ordered an appetizer which came out shortly after we received our drinks. The All-American burger hit the spot. Juicy, flavorful, cooked to perfection. Same with the sirloin steak. Cooked exactly the way it was ordered and seasoned just right. There was a little mix up with our order but Preston took care of it immediately with no questions asked. Preston was so quick with the fix that it didn't even interrupt our dinner flow. The "strawberry" cheesecake was lacking in the strawberry department but delicious nonetheless. The only negative was the $1.99 Ziosk Premium Content charge. We did not play any games or anything like that but reading other reviews it seems like just touching it triggers a charge. Rudest hosts I've ever come in contact with. We walked in and told them we had a party of 8, everyone but one person was there. They wouldn't seat us until that last person arrived. We were a little annoyed but understood it was their "protocol". We asked again if we could get seated when said person was about 10 minutes away and they again told us no. Then we informed them the person was in the parking lot and if we could be sat (we wanted to order their weekly dinner meal that ended at 5p and it was nearing that time) and again they said no. Then the "manager" came up and rudely asked us what was wrong. And then she explained this is their policy and there was nothing she could do and that they would get our table ready one the entire party arrived. Why wouldn't they get our table ready while we waited for our party? Why once everyone was there? I understand sometimes people say there is more people than actually come but we were nice and honest about our party and kept them up to date on their arrival and they were still rude. So once our whole party arrived they finally started to get our table ready while we waited another 10 minutes. I understand policy, I get it. But it was the rudeness in which they went around it and the fact that we were waiting for ONE PERSON. Not half the party. We almost left because of their actions. Came here on a Wednesday at 5:30 pm. Only had to wait 10 minutes. We were seated and hostess gave us 4 biscuits even before our server arrived. You can feel the chill from the A/C but we were seated in one of the coves which was comfy. Our server, Ian, was polite and took care of us. My wife had the Pino Noir and I had the Modelo. We both ordered the prime rib which was cooked perfectly. I had the fully loaded Baked Potato and my wife had the French Fries. Asked Ian for some peanuts and brought us two bags. Have been here a few times already and would certainly return for the value factor. Here are my takes: Food/Drinks: Majority of the time we have been surprised with the food here since steak and other meat tasted well and comes with plenty of quantity of sides. Drinks are good too and overall so many menu options to choose from. Service: Servers have been nice during all out visits here. There is always a wait here so be prepared for it. Ambiance: Loud crowded but that's what this restaurant chain aims for. It's unique and certainly appealing for once in a while visit. Hygiene: Overall clean enough. It won't wow you here but can't expect better in a heavy traffic restaurant. Price: For the quantity, dishes are really well priced and infact market average. Value for the money. I've always liked Texas Roadhouse, which is why this is after multiple visits--not just one bad night. But the last 5 times I've been, it feels like I'm being rushed out more than taken care of. I understand turning tables from a business standpoint, but as a guest, I shouldn't feel it this much. Service has been lacking--asked for bread, never came. Asked for ranch, never came. Drink never refilled, while the two others at my table were. Was my drink too far away? With kiosks and food runners, it almost feels like the waitress isn't even part of the experience anymore... which makes tipping feel a little confusing. Food was alright. I got chicken critters and fries. Simple, but the fries were old and overcooked. For ~$17, that shouldn't happen. Fries are the easiest win in the restaurant business. I can go to canes and feast with better chicken and better fries at this point... And on the way out, the hostess made eye contact and looked away. That's basic. This has to be the worse TRH location.. Last night my husband and I decided we wanted we wanted steak so we came in for dinner around 8pm. It wasn't crazy busy or anything. First they tried to sit us at the bar with a 1 year old without informing us first. Our server Elienne (sorry if I spelt it wrong lol) she was great, friendly and very attentive. We came in knowing exactly what we wanted to order and we wanted to try something new so we both got the New York strip. The grilled chicken kids meal came out over cooked, so did the replacement ones. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and my husband's was rare. Mine came out raw with little brown on each side, my husband's was so tough he couldn't even cut it and the manager said that it must've been the way that the butcher cut the steak? So obviously, I asked mine to be cooked a little longer. It came out rare again so they took it back and then it came out overcooked with a corner piece of our 'cook ticket' from the kitchen underneath the steak...like WTH. At that point my husband didn't even want to deal with it anymore since it was taking over an hour to eat with all the food issues. The younger male manager blamed the kitchen and said that they weren't having the best night? That's an absolute ridiculous excuse!! We almost spent 2 hours there and we definitely DID NOT COME IN TO EAT POTATO SKINS AND SALADS... The waiting room that they have (goes between the lobby and the outside) was freezing..they turned on a heater at some point after us.. so we got to freeze. Not the best waiting area when it is that cold... Like it was colder than outside in Feb. The service was good... Server was attentive until we got towards the end of our meal. Then we had to request refills on drinks. The food was good for the price. I did expect the Ranger meals (bigger kid meals) to have more meat. One of my son's got the steak bites and another got the steak.. both were small amounts and did not fill my boys. One boy is 8, the other 10. The chicken ranger meal seemed huge in comparison. The ambiance is very loud. We had a difficult time hearing each other and the server. I was impressed with the flavor of the meat and the cook on the ribs, prime rib, and ribeye. The loaded baked potato is not worth the upcharge in my personal opinion. I also got a house salad as my second side... I am not sure what they do to the hard boiled egg but every time I took a bite of it, I tasted mustard.. of which I am NOT a fan. I'm here for my better half's birthday. I love the fact you can either get the bread with all the carbs or the bag of peanuts with all the protein which I need when you first arrive at your table. Guess which one I picked. No appetizers for us but we each had some steak which was really cooked to Perfection at a nice char flavor to it. I have the 6 oz sirloin with sweet potato and corn. By the way, if you get there before 5:00 they have a really great more economic menu options available and I highly recommend it. My dinner was 13 bucks which for a steakhouse is incredible. The outside coating did not stick to the meat at all, the coating was too salty and inedible anyway, the meat was chewy, dry and full of gristle. The cup of "mashed potatoes" was more like a cup of gravy with a few chunks of potatoes with the skin on. The gravy was runny and other than a sweetness to it, was flavorless. The hair touching the steak is unacceptable. The blinds had a hundred dirty greasy fingerprints all over it and things like this make you wonder what the kitchen looks like. The guys working back there with long hair or a bandana around the top of the hair that does nothing for the hair dangling from under it. Everyone needs and wants a job and might even be poor but when it comes to working in public it is up to the management to have the mentality of how your restaurant workers look. I have been dirt poor but never failed to shower, clean my clothes and wash my hair before work. These people represent your business. There is No excuse to look like you just crawled out of bed. There was no wait when we got there but as we were leaving there was a big wait! The ambiance is amazing the smells are just so yummy! This was hubby & my first time at this Texas Roadhouse location & it truly did not disappoint. We arrived 20 minutes after opening & were promptly greeted then seated. The country music was quietly playing allowing us to have our conversation without yelling at each other. The decor in our area was a tribute to the military but with a western style which we appreciated. Our waitress (I forgot her name, sorry) was courteous & extremely friendly, welcomed us & took our drink orders (Modelo for me ice tea for hubby) We then placed our orders hubby ordered the large cut of prime rib with fries & cup of chili to start, I ordered the bone in ribeye with fries & cup of chili to start. As always the chili was spot on tasty deliciousness with just the right amount of spice to truly kick it up a notch. Our main course arrived & both cuts of meat were cooked to perfection, perfectly medium rare. This was our first time ordering the prime rib & it was amazing! The meat was tender, Smokey deliciousness that melted in your mouth with each bite. We both agreed that we've been missing out by not ordering this before today. My ribeye was also perfectly medium rare with melt in your mouth flavor. The entire meal was exceptional & everything we expected from Texas Roadhouse. During our meal the on shift manager even stopped by to check on us & make sure we were pleased with everything (of course we were) We didn't get a dessert which we were offered but did end up taking some more chili home to have later. Came in to get a 16oz ribeye steak and asked for it cooked medium. When it came out it looked charred and burnt. I knew right away it wasn't cooked right. Ate a few bites and told the waiter and he just said sorry. I should have asked to remake it but we were on a time limit. I visited this restaurant with mixed feelings about the service policy. On arrival, one member of our party was running slightly late, and instead of allowing us to be seated and enjoy drinks while waiting, we were firmly instructed to wait at the entrance. This was particularly frustrating as there were clearly open tables available. The front desk young lady was quite impolite when asked to explain the "policy," simply pointing and tapping at the policy card posted on the wall. The policy not only seemed rigid but also lacked the common courtesy of making guests comfortable.While we were still waiting at the entrance, I saw two other ladies come in and get seated at a table where people were already waiting for them. This clearly shows the restaurant can seat a partial party when tables are open. When we asked the front-desk staff how that was allowed under the same policy, they could not give an answer. That inconsistency, combined with the earlier rudeness, made us leave and choose another restaurant instead.Another issue I observed was two young ladies from the front desk/entry area eye-rolling and shaking their heads in a sarcastic, ironic way -- behavior that should never be visible to customers.The experience left a sour note and completely overshadowed what could have been a pleasant afternoon. Restaurants should prioritize guest comfort, especially when tables are available. I had asked for a drink and the server acted like he didn't hear me or my friend... and he went back and told them we were intoxicated after the fact we ordered our drinks and said we were ready to order our entrees. We asked if he was incoherent and he laughed and said yeah. Never served us but brought the manager and he also said we were "drunk"... also we already called in for our reservation which was supposed to be 15-20 mins and it took them 40 minutes to seat us... so yeah experience there was trash i never had a problem like that. For that I would rank TR higher but the take out option consistently fails to deliver the same quality experience. Specifically, more often than not there is something missing in the order. Tonight, they failed to bag up a salad. The last time, they failed to include their dinner rolls. There's only so many times management can offer $5 or $10 off as a mea culpa before you just swear off ordering take out from this location. We had our 18 month old granddaughter with us and were meeting her parents here for dinner. I was in a arm sling (sorry no pics of the meal) from Recent shoulder surgery. Their policy is to NOT seat you until your entire party arrives, and we were told there were places outside or benches in the entrance to sit. To their credit, they came and got us and even carried in our baby backpack and gift and seated us because of our circumstance. Her parents arrived within 10 minutes. This place is always so packed but thankfully you can call ahead and join the waitlist so by the time you arrive the wait time isn't too horrible. I come here for the unlimited fresh rolls served with their famous honey cinnamon butter and their amazing house salad. I love their croutons, they've worth every calorie. Recently had their famous fall off the bone ribs and it was amazing! Every bite had a crispy and juicy touch, most incredible combo. They must train their staff really well because we have always gotten good service here. I ordered the burger and they cooked it perfectly. Everything we ordered was on the salty side so if you are sensitive to salty food I would maybe ask the server to see if they can go light on the salt.
