There is a wait in line type of reservation but you have to check in in person and still wait about an hour after you're so called reservation. The drinks are interesting and very organic and deliciously refreshing. The atmosphere is an old farmhouse but it is always super packed so make sure that you don't go there super hungry. The waitresses and hostess seem very overwhelmed even if there is many of them going around you will not have your waiter come to you more than twice to make rounds. I usually get the eggs Benedict classic and the bread is always on there cooked and this time I got the elevated sandwich and noticed my potatoes on the side were uncooked. Which I greatly appreciate...he was put in a tough spot and the manager should have handled this. This first watch was a bit disappointing. First the place is so small inside compared to other first watches. Decided to try this place since I was in the area and saw some reviews on TikTok. Being from this area I know how brunch is so I decided to take it to go. It quoted me 15min which was not bad at all considering the line was out the door. I ordered the Trifecta with scrambled eggs. The eggs ad no seasoning but I get the demographic they have to cater to sometimes it's best to leave things unseasoned...‍ after some salt and pepper the eggs themselves were great! Not over cooked, not rubbery. The Belgian waffle was amazing and the sausage link was cooked throughly. Me being greedy I wish one more link was included but that's me being greedy lol. I don't get the good reviews. The food is just meh. For the price, I should have just gone to Denny's down the road. The guacamole toast has sea salt, but they use the whole sea (my wife scraped off the top layer to make it fit to eat). I had the Traditional breakfast, and this was the first time I was actually served burnt food that I can recall. The potato's were black and it seemed I was served the bottom of a pile, and the portion that wasn't burnt was warm. The server plopped the plates down and disappeared, so not line I could send anything back. But , the bread was good. Service is hard to come by these days, but when compared to other places, they have poor service. Really bad. We had to go to the front to pay as we only saw our server when she took the order and another when the food was plopped down. read more

My friends and I love getting the Farmhouse Hash. However, I asked for no onions in mine and my friend asked for no tomatoes in his, yet mine had a ton of onions and his had a ton of tomato. What would've happened if someone were allergic? We also received no bacon in our bowls, even though our other friend had bacon in hers; bacon is in the description for Farmhouse Hash. Decided to give First Watch another chance and came here for Father's day and wow was that the wrong move. After our waitress delivered us the food, she was no where to be seen for the rest of the meal. Couldn't get water refills, any coffee, nothing. 10 minutes after we had finished eating, she magically appears and before we could say a word, she says I'll bring your check in a moment. Basically, pay your bill and get out so I can get my tip for doing no work. The only good thing about this place was that the food was actually good, unlike the other locations nearby. This spot is very popular so I recommend calling ahead for reservations or (even better) getting in line virtually through the Yelp app. The menu is very impressive and has dishes for all palettes. For healthy eaters there are quinoa power bowls and avocado toast. For those looking for something a little more indulgent there are pancakes, French toast, and omelettes galore! Life is all about balance so I had a quinoa power bowl which was loaded up with sausage, veggies and two runny eggs on top with a side order of their lemon ricotta pancakes. The pancakes were super fluffy with freshly made lemon curd on top. I really enjoyed both dishes! My husband and sister's order were unfortunately not that great. The omelette had no flavor and they overcooked the eggs on my sister's skillet. Service was a bit brisk and even though we called ahead to make reservations our wait time was grossly over estimated. Had an early meeting here @8a....and seating was fairly abundant. An hour and a half later as we were concluding, there was 45 minute wait at the hostess desk. Apparently Fairfax was now up and ready to eat lol. Lots of healthy options on this menu including a (very nutty) buttered multi-grain toast that accompanies the meal. First Watch reminds you of Panera Bread married to IHOP....and became a cleaner alternative to IHOP. I had the SKILLET HASH/Market with two extra soft scrambled eggs (comes with two already). Two cage-free eggs* any style atop fresh, seasoned potatoes, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, zucchini, shallots, red peppers, baby spinach, melted Mozzarella and herbed Goat cheese. Guest had the TRI-ATHLETE - Egg white omelet with house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and green chillies. Side of Pico de Gallo which was forgettable. Both meals were nicely done. Came here with my friend and her dad for brunch. Lovely spot, nice ambience lots of seating. The menu is extensive and most options highly appealing. For drinks we ordered the kale cocktail and the morning meditation with boost- absolutely fucking delicious. I got the trifecta, ordered eggs over easy and they came out over hard. Waffle was delicious and my friend's dad enjoyed the bacon. My friend got the avocado toast with smoked salmon that she enjoyed. I had a strange and unsettling experience today at First Watch, which has long been a favorite of mine. I had received coupons in the mail for a free entree and a free drink with the purchase of another. My friend and I went in for lunch and the first question we asked our server: can we use both coupons at the same time? She said yes. When I went to pay and presented the coupons, the cashier was unsure charged me an amount that I knew was too much. She offered to get the manager to go over it with me and I accepted. Marilyn, the store manager, approached me and I explained. She immediately said that you could only use one coupon at a time. I told her what the waitress had told us and said we would not have ordered the drinks if we knew we could not use the coupon. She tried to give me the coupon back, but I didn't want it. I just wanted credit for its value since the mistake was not mine. Marilyn was increasingly unpleasant to me, refused to call over the waitress to discuss the error, accused me of trying to lie. Then, in a crazy flip-flop, she offered to credit me the whole bill. I accepted that and she did. The whole thing was stupid -- over $5. I asked for a $5 credit and ended up being verbally abused and then given a $42 credit. At the end of the day, I guess I came out ahead, but I will definitely be reluctant to go to First Watch again, having had such an unpleasant and bizarre experience with this manager. read more

I've eaten at First Watch on four different occastions. They have another branch in Fairfax located in the Greenbriar shopping center and I've been to that one as well. What I like most is that the menu diverse, and they have healthier food options. For example, egg white omlettes, quinoa bowls for lunch or breakfast, healthy juice concotions with kale and ginger. Yummy!! Like, they're into healhty super foods. The prices are reasonable and service has always been great and polite. Whatever your food habits are, they can cater to your needs. I ought to go here more often, but I tend to eat breakfast at home and pack my lunch like all of the time. They are open for breakfast and lunch. read more

Tips: -First watch somehow is always crowded, so be sure to join the wait line on Yelp or on their app! -They are only open in the mornings, and early afternoons--7:30 am to 2:30 pm, so plan your brunch date accordingly. -When you want to pay for your check, you have to go to the cashier in the front. Learn from me, I sat there waiting for our waiter to come back so I could pay for about 35 minutes before realizing I had to go to the front. Although this place is always crowded and the food is pretty healthy, I feel that the meals are pretty expensive. I usually get the Chickichanga because I like the name but it tastes like a chimichanga made with eggs and meat, served with potatoes. The potatoes always comes out very salty for my liking. First watch is amazing! I've been to the other location as well, however I strongly believe the fairfax one is far superior. I've enjoyed countless brunches here and will continue to do so. I love their kale tonic. It is so delicious and even those not inclined to green juices would love it. I recently tried their seasonal drink with black tea and cinnamon and that was delicious too! My favorite item on this menu is usually the soup or the day (seasonally the butternut squash bisque was amazing!!) and their fresh baked muffin for the day. It's a necessity!! Their pancakes are amazing and fluffy. I recommend the carrot cake and chocolate chip. I have also tried their lemon ricotta pancake and that was incredible. The chia seed pudding is something you have to try. I found the French toast underwhelming...definitely consider the yummy pancakes over the French toast. I see why the million dollar bacon is so popular!! Savory food wise, I like their power wrap, and the skillet hashes are amazing with a runny yolk!! Ive enjoyed the turkey avocado burger with an egg as well, and the breakfast tacos. I wasn't huge on the tacos but everything I've enjoyed there has been fresh, filling, and irresistibly delicious. I was finally able to stop by Fairfax and use my gift card here. (After my last review, First Watch offered me a meal if I review my new experience honestly.) I ordered a "two for you" Monterrey Jack sandwich with a Cobb salad and a carrot cake multi grain pancake. ALL of which was delicious and I'm really glad I ordered what I ordered. Very quality meats (bacon and turkey). The salad was SO filling and for 7.99 I got a lot of food that was both delightful and inexpensive. On a Monday afternoon, though it was still really busy, service was still very prompt. I also used the "No Wait" app to reserve a table so we were seated right away. There were different people that gave us the food and filled our coffee as well as our waitress -- all of which were super tentative with what we wanted and came to check up on us frequently to make sure we were happy with everything. Our waitress was really sweet and excited to serve us. In contrast to my last review, our food came out hot, well made and presented, and the people who worked there were super welcoming and tentative despite the business.
