Decided to give First Watch another chance and came here for Father's day and wow was that the wrong move. After our waitress delivered us the food, she was no where to be seen for the rest of the meal. Couldn't get water refills, any coffee, nothing. 10 minutes after we had finished eating, she magically appears and before we could say a word, she says I'll bring your check in a moment. Basically, pay your bill and get out so I can get my tip for doing no work. The only good thing about this place was that the food was actually good, unlike the other locations nearby. Came here with my friend and her dad for brunch. Lovely spot, nice ambience lots of seating. The menu is extensive and most options highly appealing. For drinks we ordered the kale cocktail and the morning meditation with boost- absolutely fucking delicious. I got the trifecta, ordered eggs over easy and they came out over hard. Waffle was delicious and my friend's dad enjoyed the bacon. My friend got the avocado toast with smoked salmon that she enjoyed. It quoted me 15min which was not bad at all considering the line was out the door. I ordered the Trifecta with scrambled eggs. The eggs ad no seasoning but I get the demographic they have to cater to sometimes it's best to leave things unseasoned...‍ after some salt and pepper the eggs themselves were great! This spot is very popular so I recommend calling ahead for reservations or (even better) getting in line virtually through the Yelp app. The menu is very impressive and has dishes for all palettes. For healthy eaters there are quinoa power bowls and avocado toast. For those looking for something a little more indulgent there are pancakes, French toast, and omelettes galore! Life is all about balance so I had a quinoa power bowl which was loaded up with sausage, veggies and two runny eggs on top with a side order of their lemon ricotta pancakes. The pancakes were super fluffy with freshly made lemon curd on top. I really enjoyed both dishes! My husband and sister's order were unfortunately not that great. The omelette had no flavor and they overcooked the eggs on my sister's skillet. Service was a bit brisk and even though we called ahead to make reservations our wait time was grossly over estimated. My friends and I love getting the Farmhouse Hash. However, I asked for no onions in mine and my friend asked for no tomatoes in his, yet mine had a ton of onions and his had a ton of tomato. What would've happened if someone were allergic? We also received no bacon in our bowls, even though our other friend had bacon in hers; bacon is in the description for Farmhouse Hash. I've eaten at First Watch on four different occastions. They have another branch in Fairfax located in the Greenbriar shopping center and I've been to that one as well. What I like most is that the menu diverse, and they have healthier food options. For example, egg white omlettes, quinoa bowls for lunch or breakfast, healthy juice concotions with kale and ginger. Yummy!! Like, they're into healhty super foods. The prices are reasonable and service has always been great and polite. Whatever your food habits are, they can cater to your needs. Tips: -First watch somehow is always crowded, so be sure to join the wait line on Yelp or on their app! -They are only open in the mornings, and early afternoons--7:30 am to 2:30 pm, so plan your brunch date accordingly. -When you want to pay for your check, you have to go to the cashier in the front. Learn from me, I sat there waiting for our waiter to come back so I could pay for about 35 minutes before realizing I had to go to the front. Although this place is always crowded and the food is pretty healthy, I feel that the meals are pretty expensive. I usually get the Chickichanga because I like the name but it tastes like a chimichanga made with eggs and meat, served with potatoes. The potatoes always comes out very salty for my liking. First watch is amazing! I've been to the other location as well, however I strongly believe the fairfax one is far superior. I've enjoyed countless brunches here and will continue to do so. I love their kale tonic. It is so delicious and even those not inclined to green juices would love it. I recently tried their seasonal drink with black tea and cinnamon and that was delicious too! My favorite item on this menu is usually the soup or the day (seasonally the butternut squash bisque was amazing!!) and their fresh baked muffin for the day. It's a necessity!! Hello! Unfortunately I went to the Annapolis, Maryland restaurant and received very poor service. I am not a person who post reviews, but I have to put this review out. When we were seated a waitress came over to acknowledge us while we was waiting and reviewing the menu and told us she was going to be right with us, we waited for 10minutes - as soon as we were about to leave---- our waitress took another table that came in 15mins after us, who were caucasian couple. As she was taking their orders she look over to us and said I be right with you. She knew she was wrong When the waitress came over, she said " the lady was giving her a look so she went on a took their order". What????? We waited 7mins to get water after our food, when the food came we ask for a straw and never got one so we had to get up to get one from the from desk. We also waited 10mins for the check and for a food container. The waitress did not ask if we wanted the check split up She just assume we did. Lastly I order the salmon frittata there was one little piece on just one side everything else with vegetables and eggs. It was horrible for the price. I was finally able to stop by Fairfax and use my gift card here. (After my last review, First Watch offered me a meal if I review my new experience honestly.) I ordered a "two for you" Monterrey Jack sandwich with a Cobb salad and a carrot cake multi grain pancake. ALL of which was delicious and I'm really glad I ordered what I ordered. Very quality meats (bacon and turkey). The salad was SO filling and for 7.99 I got a lot of food that was both delightful and inexpensive. On a Monday afternoon, though it was still really busy, service was still very prompt. I also used the "No Wait" app to reserve a table so we were seated right away. There were different people that gave us the food and filled our coffee as well as our waitress -- all of which were super tentative with what we wanted and came to check up on us frequently to make sure we were happy with everything. Our waitress was really sweet and excited to serve us. In contrast to my last review, our food came out hot, well made and presented, and the people who worked there were super welcoming and tentative despite the business.
