worst experience I have ever had. my food came out wrong twice. the second time took 20 min. there was a manager walking around and when I asked to speak to her she smelt like pot to the point I felt like i was getting second high. when I expressed my option she said we're doing the best we can. I went to pay... I asked the cashier who she was and she said " oh that's my general managers boss" you mean to tell me a higher up is coming to work high?! So glad First Watch is finally in Daytona! This is the perfect spot for a brunch date! Customer service is amazing here, every time I've been there's been someone to open the door to welcome us in and we get seated right away. Service is pretty quick, you should be in and out in roughly 45 minutes depending on the size of your party. The food is fresh and you can taste the difference. Prices are around $10 per meal. Coffee is fantastic. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Daytona! read more

Nice fresh food, great outdoor patio, perfect for listening to the local racetrack! Our server was good, she checked in to ask about our food and my husband's toast was burned so she brought another slice of bread. This fresh toast was great! The butter was melted nicely. Both of our toasts had white stuff on them and I thought it was cream cheese so i asked if it was butter and she said yes. Let me start with i love the Hendersonville TN location and the Brooksville Fl location If I could give negative stars I would to this location! I was expecting my normal wonderful amazing meal. Instead Avocado looked like it had been setting out for 3 days. My hash looked and tasted like it had been sitting g for hours. My husbands eggs where not over easy. They were over medium and the pancake was dry. We come to Daytona every year for the turkey run. We will never eat at this location ***Update***- they reached out to me via e-mail. Very professional. A really lovely looking place inside, very open, tons of natural light. Huge menu emphasis on cage-free eggs (no idea if that also means free-range, probably not?). I had the Mexican Street Corn Hash and it was fantastic. Seasoned potatoes, caramelized onions, a little bit of corn, lots of cheese, a light sauce; topped with an egg cooked how I wanted it, avocado, and cheese. 2 soft corn tortillas on the side. I usually don't go for dishes with cubed potatoes, but these were really great: lightly crispy and not super starchy. There wasn't enough corn for my liking - more like a garnish than part of the dish (less than ~1/8 of a cup for an entire dish entitled "street corn" hash, boo), but what was there was a good compliment to the rest of the flavors. Tiny cup of fruit on side. Instead of waiting for a table inside, we asked to sit at the covered patio outside. It is shady and there are overhead fans so noontime 90F air temperatures were totally bearable. Service was fine. Their coffee was very smooth. Not sure what the fuss is about and even more amazed at the crowd. My food arrived fast and hot. Even though my order was wrong. They did fix it. Ordered Open faced Chicken salad and it was delicious. Only problem was it's size. A 3 year old would have been hungry after, and the toast was burnt. I'd send it back, but was in a hurry and hungry. Well I'm still hungry. I ordered a side of Tomato Basil Soup, which was a nice portion, but tasted as if it was burnt. Had 2 bites and left it. I've been a patron of First Watch for over 20 years. There's ALWAYS been a focus on the food coming out of the kitchen. For a breakfast/lunch place, this has been an outright challenge to status quo diners + lunch counter chains. First Watch is REALLY stepping up to the plate in very creative culinary ways to deliver + push the local American palate from the typical truck stop fare to HEALTHY, NUTRITIOUS items that just pass the COMFORT FOOD test. And still bring OUTSTANDING quality, value, excellent service in a very pleasant + clean setting. Today was my first lunch menu experience, as normally I would join friends for breakfast or brunch items. (My fave is the lemon ricotta pancakes!) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Roast Beef/Havarti sandwich w/ soup! It was a perfect harmony of flavors I would have never considered, but also the combination of the fresh ingredients like carmelized onions, roasted red peppers, tossed spring greens salad on a toasted brioche roll with melted Havarti cheese. Then served with a horseradish sauce on the side. With the Veg Soup of the Day, it was ABSOLUTELY DIVINE! YUM on a plate! Hopefully, I'll be seeing you soon. read more

First week, this chain gets brand new digs in Daytona area! But the food was fresh and the service was attentive. We were greeted at the door and shown a table immediately. Staff was friendly and prompt. It was quite busy but the experience was streamlined. First Watch is a well oiled brunch machine. I had a salad and sandwich along with a Bloody Mary with a huge piece of bacon, which was delicious. It's nice to have a healthy option in town. The interior decor is farmhouse modern, very inviting. I tried this place out because I heard a lot of great things about it. Overall, the food for this area is pretty good. It's very hipster inside and has a nice ambiance. But, I wasn't too impressed with the waitstaff which apparently forgot to check on our table so we were left with waiting for a long time before we got our food and refills on our drinks. Overall, it's an okay restaurant but they could do better on managing the place, ensuring that the waitstaff is up to par with how to manage their tables. read more

First off, we are big fans of the First Watch in S. Tampa and in Ocala. We have given this location 2 tries and now will not return. We went 2 weeks after they first opened, taking our daughter and 3 year old grandson first their first visit. The restaurant was about 1/2 full. We were seated, and then ignored. We sat for almost 11 minutes and after several servers walked by and never acknowledged our presence, we left. I mentioned this to some of my co workers and they said they had experienced similar non service. That was several months ago. We decided to try again today. As I said before, we like First Watch and were going for a specific seasonal menu item. We arrived a few minutes after 1 p.m. The restaurant was busy but not full. We waited at the front, with 2 other parties, and were finally greeted after several minutes, then seated outside per our request. There were 4 tables outside. 2 were occupied. We took one of the open tables and about a minute later a single female was seated at the table next to ours. We were given menus and told a server would be with us shortly. I set the timer on my phone. Two different servers came out multiple times to serve the people that were there before us, but never acknowledged us, or the woman seated next to us. After almost 9 minutes we left. As we were getting in our car, we saw the woman who had been seated next to us leave also. I would recommend other locations, but not this one. As business owners, we know that customer service is key. We also understand that people get busy. But, it is important to let your customers know they matter. Let them know you are aware they are there and you will be with them soon. Offer them water or coffee. This location is giving the a brand a bad name. We drove 1/2 mile down the road and gave our business to Panera. read more

First watch is one of my favorite places but this today's experience was a bit of a let down. Stopped in at an unfamiliar location while traveling through Daytona. We Waited 25 minutes for a table and once the hostess sat us we were not greeted for 10 minutes. We ended up ordering our drinks and meals at the same time with no apology from the waitress for her lack of attentiveness. I ordered the avocado toast like I always do. Once I got my meal I was dissatisfied with the lack of effort that went into making it. The avocado spread hardly covered the toast and the eggs were cold. I went here with a friend for breakfast, giving the name a second chance as the location in Raleigh NC was a disappointment. The Daytona location is great, staff is attentive and food was amazing! If I had to pick on anything, I was told that I couldn't substitute a side and was subsequently charged for it. The cashier made it right and removed the charge of $3 for a side, a hefty "substitution" price in my book. read more

We got on the wait list before we went and it told us 15-20 mins. when we got there to check in the lady told us there were 7 tables in front of us that it was going to be about a 30-40 minute wait. My friend and I ate lunch at First Watch yesterday at the Daytona Beach Location. Friendly service. Very fresh, affordable, and healthy options. I had the Chicken Avocado Chop Salad with a very light and tasty Citrus Chipolet Dressing. It was filling and delicious with chopped romaine and arugula, all-natural chicken breast, avocado, tomatoes, corn, black beans, Feta cheese and crispy tortilla chips with a citrus chipotle dressing. My friend had the special: 2 for You - $7:49. She chose two from among a half sandwich, half salad, and cup of soup. Soups include tomato basil and the soup of the day. She got the delicious seasonal Butternut Squash Bisque and an ample half roast beef sandwich with a special horseradish sauce. My friend and I agree Fresh Watch is one of our new favorite spots. We can't wait to try their other healthy options and their special juice drinks. We had lunch but our server said their breakfasts are her favorites. We were very satisfied with the price, quality, cleanliness, and the service. Viewing the descriptions and artful inviting photos online helped me to choose. The in-house menu has no photos, only descriptions, but does offer seasonal details and specials not listed on the website. Online coupons are also available and easy to sign up for. My friend has frequented the Orlando location for years using frequent discount coupons she receives by email. She was kind enough to give me her $2 off coupon yesterday, and I have a buy one get one free coupon in my inbox. Like other places, the healthy juice drinks are the most expensive part of the meal but look worth it. That will be the next thing I try besides one of the Atlantic Salmon dishes. read more

I'm very impressed. Fresh squeezed juices and healthy ingredients. We don't eat pork, and the only time we eat gravy and biscuits is at home when I make it. We were pleasantly surprised to see turkey gravy on the menu. We ordered it and along with the Belgium waffles the breakfast was delicious.
