My personal favs are the lemon ricotta pancakes, or the Floridian French toast (which is loaded, and I mean loaded, with fruit). Take the few moments to download their app to "get in line," you won't regret it. You can do your waiting at home or shopping at the mall. We were craving a fresh and substantial meal before our road trip back to St. Louis. We decided to stop by First Watch because it was a convenient location and close to the highway. For a sit down place, it's typically pretty quick, too. The staff was super friendly. I did wish they had gender neutral restrooms and that the host wouldn't have assumed my gender identity. My expectations aren't super high when it comes to that, but in my book small expressions/ gestures can make a big difference in hospitality. When we were seated, we all ordered coffee, a tomato juice, and an orange juice (Fresh squeezed btw!). Julia R and I shared the "Bacado" which is an omelet with bacon, avocado, and Monterey Jack cheese. What *MAKES* it is the large dollop of sour cream on top. My mom had the Ham & Gruyere omelet, also looked really really good. Both came with a fresh and hot side of their breakfast potatoes. If that weren't enough food, both also came with buttered warm toast. There were tons of options, even healthy ones. Our server, Kelsey, was really nice + hospitable. JULIAN was the bright light in my otherwise dim morning! I had never eaten at First Watch prior to today and between health issues and nearly getting run into on my way to the restaurant let's say my morning was not off to a great start. But after being seated and meeting him he turned it completely around. His food suggestions and desire to see my experience was nothing short of amazing, was top notch! I've worked in this industry for many years, from my time working at the French Laundry, Bocuse and then now with the James Beard Foundation, never have I been so impressed then I was today. So since I can't go to my favorite restaurant today me and my mom decided to come here for a late breakfast. You can never go wrong with the food here. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancake this time thinking that I would get out of the comfort of always ordering the French toast. Wellll I didn't really like the pancake flavor and it was slightly crumbly. Flavor wasn't bad but I just don't think my taste buds expected this. My mom just ordered a traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon, grits etc.) so no complaints there. The best part of my breakfast today was the turkey sausage links and the Morning Meditation juice! First watch kicks ass. Plain and simple. I think it needs a better name but what you get inside is what matters. They have killer unique breakfast options that are packed with flavor. You'll find meals with Avacado, bacon, fresh tomatoes, fruits, lip smacking syrup and lots of other awesome ingredients. Today I was starving so I got 2 entrees to check out the menu. Both only combined to 1000 calories so it was perfect for Me. The service was fast friendly, and attentive. The wrap I ordered was the power wrap packed with egg whites, mushrooms, tomatoe salsa, cheese, on a sun dried tomatoe wrap! Yummo! I also got the veggie burger. Love all the amazing healthy options here but you still have to watch your calorie counts! Be prepared to wait in line, or save your spot in line via Yelp. All the locations I've visited have always been equally delicious. They have great coffee and will leave a pot for the table. I love the million dollar bacon. The omelettes are soooo good. And they serve them with a side of dressed greens Avocado toast is bomb, as well as when they have a fruit toast. I could eat breakfast here everyday day and never get sick of it. read more

I love the omelets and the lemon ricotta pancakes - they are always my "go to" menu items. The staff is always friendly, professional and able to answer any questions you have regarding the menu or seasonal selections. I also love the seating in this place. If you can't eat at home, this is the second best place to go. It has the feel of eating breakfast surrounded by your closest friends and family. I would say, though, if you are going for breakfast during the weekend, always make sure to make a reservation through Yelp so you won't be stuck waiting in line for hours because this place fills up quickly. The food was actually pretty good. The issue was one of five uncooked plate of eggs. We didn't notice it until the end because our daughter was picking away at it. When we brought it to their attention they made excuses that the eggs were pasteurized, fresh and meant to be cooked like that. So I asked the manager if he cooked the other four wrong and he said he cooked four wrong and the food cooked one was right to how he was trained. Ok... so they took the bill and we left a five for the waitress. The point wasn't about paying for it. If your eating inside this place it's usually very good but if you're ordering takeout it's a complete disaster. I have ordered takeout the past three times here over the past couple of weeks and have yet to get an order right or On time it's usually 15-25 minutes later your order shows up after sitting or standing in their lobby. If I wanted to eat in your establishment I would and not spend 15-25 minutes waiting on inaccurate and late orders. read more

They had such a big selection of foods to choose from. My boyfriend went with the chorizo Chile omelet, which he said was really good. I had the summer special, the cornbread carnitas bowl, which came with beans, 2 poached eggs, avocado, and crema. It was a bit messy, but full of flavor. They also had delicious coffee. So it is Mother's Day, I understand this is the busiest day of the year for restaurants. Came in a little before 10 AM to get a table for 3. At 10:45 when I was quoted a 45 minute wait time I go up and ask how much longer we have, we had 17 reservations pushed ahead of us because they checked in online. Solid spot for breakfast overall. Our server was on top of it.. she knew they have a wait on the weekend and pushed us efficiently and friendly from the get go. I had some fresh pressed juice with ginger and some other stuff, in it.. cannot remember what but it was good. I had a hash skillet with egg whites, potatoes and bacon. It hit the spot... especially with a splash of hot sauce on it. Wife ended up doing lunch and did a turkey club. Bread looked really good and she liked it. Was here for Memorial weekend with my boyfriend, and we definitely had an overall positive experience. It's located around the 'outside mall' part of the Dayton Mall. Food: I got the Inspired Italian and my boyfriend got the avocado toast, which is usually with basted eggs but he wanted poached eggs. Avocado toast was pretty good. I didn't expect so much avocado on it, but it's great that there's so much! I looooove loved the toast and jam that came with the Inspired Italian. It definitely added some sweetness and some variety to the savory omelette and potatoes. Very filling, so I ended up boxing the rest. It could have a little more flavor added to it, to be honest. It is what it is: an omelette with Italian sausage, red pepper, and cheese. There wasn't much to it that made it special. A small disappointing thing is that I asked for spinach with my omelette, but it didn't come with it. We were charged with it on the receipt, but that was cleared up quickly when we notified the waitress. Service: Very, very kind staff and servers. Wait time was a little long (about half an hour?) on Sunday's after church time, so I'd recommend you go on another day, or a little earlier or later so the wait isn't as terrible. Consistently good food. I love the quinoa chicken pesto power bowl-always stellar. Plenty of options for those of us who don't eat pork. I've even subbed chicken for dishes with chorizo and it's always hassle-free and delicious. My kids get the turkey sausage biscuits and gravy which is good, maybe a bit salty, but good. Great place for brunch and lunch. My co-workers have me hooked on First Watch as we use to order it out frequently. They have some of the best lunch food especially there sandwiches. The Cheese to the 5th Degree is probably the best grilled cheese I have ever had. You also get with every sandwich a side salad, fruit cup, and delicious First Watch potatoes. Now for breakfast the pancakes are to die for! They are big and fluffy. The chocolate chip are the best they just melt in your mouth. If you are going to actually go to First Watch be careful on the weekends because they can get packed past 11am. We also go early so we can beat the crowds. I have never received bad service here. The waiters are very nice and helpful. Usually ringing out customers and seating them is Chris the manager who is very nice and kind. He does everything in his power to give you a great meal. If you have never been do yourself a favor and try it you will not be sorry. read more

First watch was absolutely delicious and the service was great! We waited about 15min for a party of 4 which wasn't bad. They also have the Join the Waitlist feature turned on with Yelp and it works wonders. I got some coffee and the Chickichanga. It was amazing and very tasty. Other items for our table included the smoked salmon frittata, a classic breakfast and the Bacado omelette. No one had any complaints because everything was well worth the wait and price. Only had about a 10 min wait on a Saturday afternoon, which was not too bad for this place. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, had no issues. Our food came out just as we ordered. It was all very delicious and I love the healthy options they have. I got the Healthy Turkey omelet with fruit. My mom got the roast beef sandwich with roasted potatoes. Went on a Sunday morning so expected a wait, thankfully we had placed a seating ahead of time using the app. The waiting area is a bit small for how crowded the place gets, but honestly that's probably the only downside you'll have while here! After being seated the waiter was prompt and friendly. I had one of the seasonal juices, and as to be expected it was great! Breakfast portions are always great, never too little or too much. My favorite was a seasonal item, so I'm excited to go back in the summer to hopefully have it again! Love that they bring you your own pot of coffee for the table, and it's freshly brewed. First time and won't be the last! Nice decor and clean place, we were seated immediately for a 9:00am arrival on a Sunday. Waitress was excellent! Brought coffee immediately and the place leaves the pot at your table for refills. We both had the Tri-Athlete that was plenty of food to start the day! Omelet was delicious. All foods tasted very fresh. The waitress offered travel cups when we left and we filled up for the long drive ahead. I wouldn't consider myself a breakfast person but First Watch has quickly become my favorite breakfast place. The breakfast tacos are incredible. They have the perfect amount of each ingredient. I often get the breakfast tacos with a side of bacon and a tea. The bacon is a little over cooked for my taste but if you like your bacon a little more on the crunchy side it could be perfect for you. They have a great selection of tea and offer honey and lemons to accompany your drink. The wait isn't usually too bad; 15 minutes at the most. The staff is great and very kind!
