There aren't many places with unlimited coffee. First watch food menu is in house crafted. They put a spin on your average breakfast menu. The restaurant has a homie environment. But they did a. Great job designing the place to make you feel comfortable. Wait time is usually 15 min which is about average for brunch in Dallas. Highly recommend stopping by if your in town. read more

My friends and I decided to meet up for brunch and as I was researching new places to go, this restaurant popped up. The reviews were pretty good so we decided to give it a try. We waited about 20 mins for a table (which isn't bad for a Saturday morning), however we waited what felt like 30 - 45 mins for our food. When we were seated, our table was a disaster. There were no cups. Crumbs leftover from the previous people. It took three tries before we could catch our waiter for water. In fact, he seemed like he really didn't care. We were seated by the kitchen and we could see the utter chaos that was happening inside. They were completely in the weeds. The table next to us asked where there food was and they had been waiting for awhile. When we got our food, three different people dropped each plate off and our waiter didn't come by to see if everything was ok (mind you, we were still trying to catch him for water). I got the healthy turkey omelette. It was pretty good except for the sad tomatoes that were on the plate. They were gritty which was either because they were old or because they had been kept too cold. I was excited to try their homemade preserves, except because we were seated by the kitchen, I saw the Smuckers squeeze bottles the "homemade" preserves came out of. That was a let down. I don't think we will be back. The staff needs training. Perhaps there needs to be more staff. Maybe someone designated as the runner. Instead of hanging out in the kitchen (where our waiter was 99% of the time), the waiters and waitresses need to remember to be on the floor checking on their tables. read more

Recently, we tried First Watch in College Station and it was great, so decided to give this one a try. It did not disappoint! The smoked salmon frittata was awesome, as were the cheese grits. We'll be coming back. read more

I really really want to like First Watch but just cannot make this the end all, be all, breakfast joint. The food is simply bland. Though my avocado toast was light and delicious, my party had omelets and biscuits and gravy which left much to be desired. There wasn't enough salt, pepper and chalula to make the meal flavorful. read more

First time dining here for us. Food was tasty, but one thing stood out for sure! One of my biggest dining pet peeves, and believe me, my mind was blown! It had absolutely nothing to do with the restaurant, food, or our own terrific server, but another server, right next to us, Nicky. ......every single table that Nicky took care of, got their checks within the first few bites of their meals. Atrocious. Like saying, "hurry up, get out!" It was not a weekday lunch where her guests' might have to hurry back to work or as though she was so busy that she could not keep it until her diners' were completely done. What if they wanted to order something else? Who would ask for anything after being asked to eat up and pay? How incredibly rude?!!! You could most definitely see the disappointment in her diner's faces. Just wow! When coming back we will absolutely remember to request to NOT have her as our server. read more

Always great food. Always great service. Very solid clean place with happy staff. This is what Preston Hollow needed for many years !

First suggestion- get in line ahead of time! This place happens to be a hot commodity, but a quaint space- so there's limited seating. My best friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this place! Our service could've been a little better- but grace can always be given, especially knowing a server is taking heat of understaffed circumstances. The food was unmatched! Fresh, tasty, and the plating couldn't have looked prettier! Wish I had pictures to show, but I only took videos. I was happy to try this place for the first time, it definitely was all that I hoped for- and some! read more

This was our first visit and it was delicious! We used the Yelp app to get on the wait list as soon as we left church. By the time we arrived we waited maybe 5 minutes and got seated. Server was attentive, but didn't hover. I couldn't decide what I wanted so I got 2 dishes: lemon ricotta pancakes and the steel cut oats with a muffin. My husband got The Works omelette and he had nothing but good things to say about it. Overall the food was so good and everyone around us was being brought food that looked just as good! Will definitely return again and again to try everything on the menu. read more

First Watch - Lemon ricotta pancakes and steel cut oats with a fresh baked muffin. Yum. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Dallas, Texas

We literally came here after another spot was packed out like sardines. The fact that we can join the line on an app is every millennials dream. Get to the restaurant and was taken away by the decor and vibes from the customer. The food, just look at the pictures. My plate came out looking scrumptious but I couldn't help stare at every other table because of all the colorful eats being enjoyed. Will definitely drive from GP for breakfast. Thanks for the experience. read more

If I was rating the food alone I'd give it five stars but our server labeled us as a low tipping table right off the bat and barely checked on us. Great food but awful service, makes me sad because we loved everything else about this place. read more

So I went to a yelp event in the past and I received a $20 gift card from this place. So this time, me and my girlfriend are craving for some brunch food and I rmb I still have the $20 gift card. So might as well use it, so when we got here, not sure if it's a good decision or bad decision. There's a 40 minutes wait, either the food is really really good or people have nothing better to do on a sunday morning. So finally we waited and we seated. I ordered the pork chop and my girlfriend ordered the hash brown both of them are really really good and I feel refresh for my morning after eating those food, one of the thing I can complain is the portion of the pork chop can be bigger. Well maybe I'm also a big guy that eat lot of meat. But I will definitely keep this place in mind and will return when I'm craving for brunch food next time. Highly recommended. read more

While the food is good here, the attitude of one staff members needs adjusting. I have always thought the woman who acts like she is in charge was the manger and is not the manager. She waited on us today. I repeated my order twice, no tomato and toasted sandwich. It came out with tomato and not toasted. I told her that I asked for it toasted so she brought me three slices of toast and expected me to reassemble my sandwich. I requested she have the kitchen fix my sandwich. She returned with my sandwich as requested and said, "are you now happy?" The order ticket indicated she didn't give the kitchen proper instructions - it was her fault. The proper response should have been, I'm sorry let me take care of that for you. Owner needs to review the customer service training at this location. read more

First timers. Our waiter was not the best. He seemed preoccupied and not at all invested. We had two items, a hash bowl and turkey egg white omelet. Both were good but the bread was amazing! They sell it by the loaf for $ 7.00! At checkout I asked for a bag, again just got a very non invested reaction as I was handed the bag as if I was being bothersome. Over all staff could use a little customer service training but the food is good, music nice touch and coffee was great! We will be back. read more

Glad we use Yelp to get in line otherwise you might need to wait for about 50mins when you get there. And even there are available tables. We waited for about 20mins still no one come to help to order. Until, we raised our hand and asked one girl to help to order. She told she is not responsible for our table but thanks to god at least she wrote down our orders. Then about 10mins later, our waiter came and ask what he could help. Then, the most confusing thing happened, he asked about how we wanna our eggs to be cooked but after I told previous girl did not ask about this he said he will make sure about this. So, another 20mins my friend went to confirm with both of them. Later, we finally got our food. Really long long wait read more

This is our go-to place for a quick breakfast. Food is always made well, if not they will take it off immediately. My go-to take out place if I am in the mood for something good. Highly recommend, usually we can get out of here in less than 25 mins if there is no line. read more

What a find! In town from San Diego visiting family and they are in a decade long breakfast rut where they go to the exact sample place every weekend. I searched yelp for ideas for somewhere new to take my little sister, and found this. It's fantastic! A creative and delicious menu that offers lots of delicious options. Awesome service: friendly, helpful, warm. We had elevated egg sandwich (would have been better on a grain bread, in my personal opinion) and a SoCal burrito. They were fantastic. Don't skip their specialty juices!! I got morning meditation and it was soooooo good. Felt energizing and refreshing. My sister got the blueberry booster and liked it so much she wouldn't let me have any. Told my family they have to bring First Watch into breakfast rotation for the love of all that is holy. read more

By far the best Yelp Elite event that I have attended! From every detail when you walked in they definitely took care of us and made us feel at home. When I first walked in I was greeted with warm coffee or fruit infused water. And also a big stack of pancakes LOL! When we sat down we were greeted with menus that listed all of what we were about to partake in, our waitress was was the absolute sweetest and took great care of us! They actually had all of their star servers come in from around the DFW and I could definitely tell from the All-Star service experience we received. To start off we were given they're million-dollar bacon and an order of the avocado toast. The million-dollar bacon just really tastes like peppered bacon with syrup on it (can't go wrong with that) but they're avocado toast was so refreshing and flavorful jam-packed with nice big pieces of avocado on thick-cut wheat bread, delicious! Even for it to be something simple that you can make it home they knock this out of the park! Next we were given a hibiscus limeade and their elote Mexican street corn hash (((OMG!!! ))) This was by far my favorite item that we received soooo good! All the flavors from the spicy potato, to the cool Mexican cheese, and the runny egg just to tie it all together this is definitely something that I will be coming back for! Next course was a ham and gruyere sandwich, it was okay. The side salad was more the star of the show. It was a simple mixed green salad tossed with lemon juice and I know it is sounds very simple but it was delightful! For the last course we were given lemon ricotta pancakes and they definitely nailed the recipe, they fold ricotta cheese into their pancake batter to make it fluffy and it works! It was so fluffy and light, I do not like pancakes but I wanted more ! And to top it off they top it with warm lemon curd and fresh soaked strawberries, superb! There is no room for improvement in my eyes they are definitely on the right track with this concept and idea of a restaurant. They explained to us that they do pay the extra dollar for their ingredients to be Farm to Table and you can definitely taste it throughout their entire menu. Definitely worth the money (= read more

I hope a family-friendly, consistently-good restaurant goes in this space soon. Food and service are polarized - either excellent or awful. Cold biscuits and nasty attitude or amazing omelette and 30% tip - worthy waiter. It's too expensive to take that gamble and, to be honest, the wait is far too long. You cannot actually make reservations here unless you are willing to enable tracking on your mobile device. That is an unfair business practice and they really shouldn't get away with it. Today was my last straw with this restaurant. I cannot speak to the other locations, but I have tried this location at least 10 times. Save yourself time and money. Go to the whole foods across the street grab some fruit, and then go to Tom Thumb and grab some bread and peanut butter. Cross the other street and grab coffee at Starbucks. It'll still be a better meal with less of a wait time and, assuming you have a pleasant personality, you'll have a better crew putting your meal together. read more

Tried Egg whites omelette. Large portion. It was okay. Service was good. In shopping center off Preston.

We had the best waitress during our recent visit-thanks Coco! And the food was good also. We will definitely come back.

It's a nice brunch spot with great potential. The food was pretty good, the ambiance is vibrant, and I could tell that they used fresh ingredients. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is that the restaurant was so packed, it took 30 min+ for food to come out. No one came and told us about the wait. I do understand with all the crowd, it may take more time to bring out food, but the waiter should let the people know so the customers aren't waiting for their food for more than 30 min when they are hungry. It wasn't just us - the old couple next to us was also getting upset at how late the food was but no one came by to tell them the situation. Will I visit again? Not sure because of the lack of communication. read more

Went here for breakfast and the whole experience was excellent! We were seated very quickly and the offer coffee and water while you wait. After we sat we saw a rush come in and they have to wait a little longer. Staff were very friendly. Dining room was very clean and cutely decorated. The menu was fairly big but not overwhelming and offered wide arrange of foods. Their gluten free toast was the best I've ever had! The veggie frittata was also amazing. I ate too much because it was that good! 5 star health conscious restaurant that I will try again! read more

The food here is excellent, and the fresh juices are very refreshing. I would pay a million dollars for the 'Million Dollar Bacon' (if I had it). Expect at least a 30 minute wait because it is a popular spot, especially around breakfast/brunch time. read more

W We got in line via the NoWait App and entered the restaurant around 10:30 Labor Day morning. Not a manager in sight. Place in chaos. One person running the front of the house and only 4 wait staff to serve a very busy place with a line out the door. There were 8 empty tables. No excuse for poor staffing and very high marks to the hostess and 4 wait staff for holding down the fort. This is a great chain - I've eaten many a meal in their restaurants ranging from Plano to Ohio - but this Dallas location always falls short on smart management - stressed staff and lots of errors and overcooked or cold food -my poached eggs were hard boiled. Too bad, this is a premium space and has lots of competition - we won't be back and urge you to look elsewhere, too. read more

Service was excellent. Food was delicious. The waitress left a lot of coffee at our table and we felt welcome and un-rushed :)

I picked up a really expensive breakfast that consisted of over cooked eggs, 1/2 a piece of burnt bacon that crumbled to dust as soon as I touched it and a burnt waffle. There was no butter or syrup or the strawberry preserve to go with the waffle. The grits were like clumps of glue with no flavor. You get 2 starts bc the food was really good in the restaurant but this was disgusting. read more

So yummy. Fresh healthy recipes and great quality. Service a little inattentive on slow days during week but worth it. But server today was awesome. We typically love First Watch however this one was not sanitary. The waitress cut her finger in the back and the manager put a band aid on it and neither of them left the kitchen to wash their hands. In addition, the chef pulled it his cell phone while tending to food on the grill. So disappointed at the level of cleanliness and respect for the food. Make sure you observe the kitchen before ordering read more

I wish I could give this place more stars since the food is really good. But, the past two times I've been on a weekend for brunch it took over an hour to get my food. And each time it was cold! I give them credit for always being apologetic and comping my meal and most of the tables around me. I just wish they would learn that they cannot seat and accommodate so many people on the weekends. Better to just have a longer wait. read more

We have eaten here several times with various experiences. Once, we waited for a table for several minutes (restaurant was less than half full) and our service was extremely slow. We gave it another try and the service was much faster. The food is fresh and tasty. I do wish they had better dairy free options. Dairy-free selections were extremely limited and they do not have soy or almond milk to substitute. read more

Went here for brunch a few weeks ago with a friend. The service was slow and inattentive so that was a downer. Had to wait forever once seated, for coffee to be served. The food was fine once it came out. The place was very busy and this was towards the end of the shift so maybe everyone was exhausted. With all the choices for brunch I probably wouldn't come back here based on the service. read more

First off Kelsey the new employee needs a bonus or raise! She is the only good employee at this location has. Even though she could tell my mother and I where not happy with our service or food she was extremely polite, positive and kind. Thank you Kelsey for being a kind and warm hearted person. Second we where greeted by a obviously disgruntled employee who immediately had an problem with my mother for asking for a booth table instead of a regular table. (She has had multiple hip and leg surgeries so the padding from the booth tables are more comfortable for her body compared to the hard chairs at the regular tables. We are not picky or snooty people.) he then asked us to wait so he could clean the table and POOF disappeared and left us waiting for 5 to 10 minutes before Kelsey so kindly seated us. We then ordered our food and waited another 20minutes. While waiting for our food more people where seated and served with in 5 minutes. We received our food cold and some how undercooked. Then to top it off I found a bone in my EGGS?! I don't understand how a cook missed that but ok. We quickly left disappointed and still hungry. As we where leaving we notice a elderly man who had been waiting a long time just to be seated. He was completely ignored and waited more than 10 minutes. He was handicapped and was obviously uncomfortable. You don't treat the elderly like that PERIOD. Overall this is just not acceptable and first watch needs a completely new staff. They should model there new staff after there new employee Kelsey who actually gave a sh$t about what was happening to the customers and was balancing everything because her coworkers where lazy and unsupportive. read more

I really enjoy this place. There is an equal amount of healthy to unhealthy options. My favorite part is the no waitlist options. Once you get within 3 miles you can check in and get on the waiting list. The service was ok, but the customer service was great. My first visit they got my order wrong when I asked for no cheese so it took me a while to get my food but they corrected it. The second time I went it took us 30 minutes to get out food so eventually the manager gave us our meal for free. I didn't even have to ask to speak to the manager. I'd attend the establishment again. read more
