So yummy. We ate outside and I could have licked my plate clean. I had the trifecta and carrot juice. The berry compote that came with the trifecta was delicious and not overly sweet which was perfect because the syrup mixed was the perfect sweetness for me. read more

I visited this location 03/30/2022. I rate this a 3.5. I had the Belgium waffle, eggs and chicken sausage. Nothing special. The restaurant scored a 98.00 Health score. The Wait staff is very slow. I will go one more time definitely not the same dish. read more

awesome breakfast. Never disappoints! always leave happy and full. Megan the waitress was on point!

My sister and I went for Brunch on Sunday. We arrived at 11:30 and were told the wait would be 60-90 minutes for a table. We decided to wait. We were seated in about 75 minutes. The hostess got our drink orders once we were seated (coffee and water). They were out of all of their specialty juices. We ordered our food (omelette, eggs Benedict and pancakes). Our waitress did not come back to check on us for around 30 minutes. When she did, she didn't really check on us so much as just mention 'your food will be right out' in passing. It was another 30 minutes before our food came out. We were out of water and coffee (never refilled or offered refills). When I asked if this was a typical wait time, the waitress said "Didn't they tell you? We're short staffed." No, no they did not. I never in a million years expected to wait an hour for the kitchen to put out an omelette. The food, while it was good, it definitely was not worth waiting 2-1/2 hours for. read more

I have eaten here once before and the service was much better. They bring my girls food out and tell me mine will be rite out soon, still waiting 15 mins later. Ask for the manager, I guess she or he was to busy. I have been to the one in Pineville never had a problem. I will not be going back to this location. read more

The food is okay. The ambiance is nice. The staff are engaging and polite for the most part.

This was my first time eating at First Watch. The hostess was more than accommodating. The place is very busy. My sister was hungry and impatient. She insisted on pushing two outside tables together to fit our party and the staff obliged without showing annoyance (I stood off to the side rolling my eyes, lol). Our server, Steven was amazing! Very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. He also gave great food suggestions because the menu is a little overwhelming. I had French toast (yum!). My husband had skillet hash (farmhouse) with chicken sausage! It is was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast! Sorry, I should have taken pictures! read more

Eat in - skip the take out. We really like the food from First Watch as long as you're dining in, but we've been consistently let down by the quality and service when we get it to go. Normally we wouldn't worry about small things (not including bread, forgetting the salad dressing, fully brown avocado), but at $60 on average for feed our family of 4...... I'd go 2.5 start, but this is rounding to 3. read more

I'm really disappointed to write this review. I tried First Watch-Matthews after so many good reviews of the food at various locations. As I type we have been waiting for over an hour for an omelet and biscuits and gravy. The server brought out the biscuits and gravy order after 20 minutes without the omelet with the explanation that "it was cold and needed to be remade." We were told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Absurd. Instead of taking the biscuits and gravy back and bringing us both back hot food, 20 minutes after that I had to stop the hostess to ask her to take the plate away. We asked to speak to a manager and was told "he's backed up but will stop by when he can." After the hostess came back by a few minutes later shocked we still hadn't received food. She went back and told the manager. A few back and forth's later the couple beside us left because they didn't have food either. The manager finally comes over and was ill prepared to say the least. He knew full well why he was summoned but opted to great us by saying "you asked to see a manager?" After explaining what had occurred so far he did not take responsibility, told us that he just came in, and asked us what WE wanted him to do. Wow. We told him we wanted our food and he said he would go "see where it's at." Finally our food arrived and my order was wrong the other order was cold and no server to be found. We got up and stopped at the hostess stand to tell her why we were leaving. All of a sudden the manager appears with both hands spread out like "wtf" and all he could mutter was "sorry 'bout that." I really enjoyed my initial First Watch experience but unless the service improves we won't be back to this location. read more

Where do I start......in the middle of me drinking my coffee and waiting for my food the manager comes over and asked me to move to another table because the table I was at had been reserved for a large party. Like really! So I moved. Once my food came it was cold and the Turkey sausage was under cooked. The only positive was the waiter, he showed concern and was upset the manager moved me. read more

Beautifully decorated, inviting atmosphere- wish the greeters where as nice, friendly & welcoming as the wait staff. There are several food options. The hot Holey donut holes w/ three different sauces were the table favorite. The Breakfast burrito was huge- enough to share. The basics needed a little help- the scrambled eggs & Belgium waffle was mediocre at best. Would return again; but wouldn't go out of my way if there was something else closer. read more

I went with a friend on the Saturday before Christmas. It was packed. They said there was a 45 min wait but we were seated after 20 min. It was a half booth table for 2. Very small table. The coffee was complementary on this day. My friend ordered the steak and eggs brunch special with a waffle on the side. I ordered the bacado with breakfast potatoes instead of greens and a waffle on the side. The steak and eggs looked great! And the waffle and bacado was delicious. The bacado is an omelette with bacon and avocado and they serve it with sour cream and pico on the side. The breakfast potatoes had good flavor but some were under done. I'm actually going again today. I may try the chicken chunga. The waffle was to die for. THE BRUNCH IS NOT TRADITIONAL AS THEY DO NOT SERVE ALCOHOL. SO NO BLOODY MARYS OR MIMOSAS. read more

There was a long wait and a mix up that increased our waiting time. For such a long wait, we expected our food would be made as per our request. But that didn't happen. We asked for no bacon and our order had to be remade. My dish came with a hair strand embedded in my omelette. Ordered the breakfast tacos as a replacement . These were on point .(Edit) Giving 3 stars as the manager did try to fix to the order and for the tacos. Bad luck for us this visit . Hopeful next time. read more

I have been here many times mainly for pickup during the pandemic and thoroughly enjoyed my meal, but this most recent visit was subpar to say the least. The first issue was after placing my order for the Trifecta a different waiter came over and said they were out of bacon for the day (it was only 10:30am on a weekday). I adjusted my order and got grits instead. Shortly thereafter my food came over and it was with a belgian waffle, I requested a carrot cake pancake. Then the other plate for my table came out and the omelet was full of onions, she requested no onions. Finally both plates came out correctly, but unfortunately were a bit underwhelming. The pancake was flavorful but extremely dry. Pretty sure they gave me the same grits from when the order was incorrect because they were lukewarm and all plopped out at once. The potatoes were the best item across both plates. Because I have been here before and had better experiences I will try again, but maybe they work best under pressure on the weekends. Also we never again saw the waiter that took our order completely wrong. read more

Decent food but the service is beyond slow. 45 minutes from the time my order was placed until it arrived at our table.

Food was excellent however the bathroom was in disarray! The paper towel dispenser was detached from the wall and laying on the countertop and the bathroom wasn't clean! Cleanliness is very important to keeping your standard up! Please make improvements. read more

I've been to other First Watch locations and was excited when my wife suggested we try this new location for lunch on a Friday. We got in about 11:20 and there was a 10-15 minute wait - odd, I thought - but they're new so maybe it's just a little extra business as a result of that. We were seated after about 10 minutes, so all was well. It took a few minutes for our server to greet us. Enough time that my wife (who had never been to a First Watch before) and I had both reviewed the menu and were ready to order by the time she arrived. We placed the order for our food, an appetizer of the million dollar bacon and a couple of entrees, and began the wait. Our food took about 15-20 minutes to arrive. Whilst waiting, we were observing the restaurant and noticed a couple of things: - We had a table with a view straight into the kitchen and it was a mess. There was trash and junk all over the floor, dirty dishes stacked up everywhere, etc. When you intentionally have an open kitchen, those things matter and it needs to be kept clean. We also observed large bags of lettuce being stored directly on the floor before being picked up and dumped into containers - somewhat unappetizing. - The wait staff seemed generally lost and inefficient (and this extended to our server as well). A lot of them would only help/work on one table at a time and would go address that issue before coming back to check on another table instead of operating more efficiently and keeping an eye on all of their tables at once. We also observed on more than one occasion, food being taken to the incorrect tables and it taking multiple trips back to the kitchen to resolve where the food should be going. This included our million dollar bacon which we saw a server walk by our table with 3 different times before giving up and just returning it to the kitchen. Alas, our food arrived - well some of it. Our entrees were there and I asked about the bacon and soup. Our server in a somewhat surprised manner said oh yeah, let me go grab those. 5 minutes later our appetizer and my soup arrived (I was already halfway done with my sandwich at this point). She just dropped the food and left and we didn't see her again until we needed our check. Syrup for my wife's pancake? Nope - guess I'll just grab that myself off a dirty and unbussed table behind us. Refill on my water? Nope - finally grabbed a busser to refill it after it sitting on the edge of the table for 10 minutes without being refilled. Never once did she come back to check on us, to ask how the food was, to ask if we needed anything. The food was lackluster - not terrible, not anything to write home about. But the service was top notch amateur hour, seemingly across the board. Now the wait time made more sense to us... And in all of this - middle of lunch hour rush on a Friday with a wait - never once was a manager visible and present. That's a huge issue and maybe if there was a manager actively monitoring the restaurant, some of these things wouldn't have been issues. TLDR: Food was mediocre, service was atrocious, avoid First Watch until they can hire competent staff and have a manager to keep an eye on service. read more

So First Watch is new and I went for a friends birthday (all our 1st time). The inside is really nice and clean we sit and order drinks but looking at the menu was really hard for us to order just a good breakfast meal. It's a really healthy menu multigrain this carefree eggs etc. I ordered multigrain pancake eggs scrambled light with cheese and bacon.. I can tell that the cook is not use to anything other than high volume cooking because my eggs and the eggs behind me were not scrambled light. I've had better store brand bacon and the pancake was just okay wasnt really flavorful.. Eggs came with chives or parsley (doesnt say chives on menu) so I tried to pick as much as I could read more

I ordered a traditional breakfast 2 eggs, bacon and salad. We waited 45 minutes to get seated. This is our first time dining in at First Watch in Concord NC. The food came out with potatoes instead of salad. The staff was nicely changed out my potatoes to a salad. The salad came out 5 minutes later with half of the salad rotten. They took it back and the manager appears 10 minutes later. He heard the story and went to the back, a few minutes later he came back and said we changed out the new bag of salad would you like a new one. At this time I am done with my eggs and bacon. I said no thank you and they billed me including the salad I never received with my meal. After this experience, I wouldn't want to come back because of the poor quality of the food I encountered. read more

I've only had the 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad or soup. Everything is always a great portion and tastes great. The 1/2 salads are a great portion, however, I have noticed them getting a bit smaller lol! Today I got the havarti sandwich and chicken avocado chop salad. The only reason I give 4 stars is because it always takes awhile for someone to come greet me. I often eat alone, so there have been several times I've had to go and ask if someone is waiting on me. Other than that, food comes out quickly. read more

Customer service was HORRENDOUS! We ordered to go online and I arrived before the "food will ready time" by a couple minutes. They checked and said "they're working on your order now". 20min later I inquired and got the same response that it was being made. 20min later I inquired again and received the same response. I asked how much longer would it be and the hostesses indicated they had no idea. I asked to cancel the order since it was over 45min after it was suppose to ready for pickup and no one could give any estimated time. I was told by the staff I could easily cancel my order online and wait for a refund. I didn't see anywhere to do that and handed my phone to them to cancel it. They couldn't figure it out either. Then they said they'll take a copy of the order number to their manager to process at a later time, but I wanted an actual receipt since they haven't provided any services. She told me she'd get the manager to come speak to me. "Rebecca" came and introduced herself as not a manager, but designated by the manager to speak to me. She said a refund would process in 3 to 5 days and to call them if I don't receive it. I asked again for an immediate refund and pointed it I placed my order well over an hour ago and 50min after it was suppose to be ready no one can tell me how much longer, no one offered me somewhere to sit, no one offered me a glass of water as I stood there nearly an hour watching people that came after me already sitting at tables and enjoying refreshments. Also, several other to go people came in and got their food within minutes of arriving. I pointed out to Rebecca that had they told me the truth and it'd be a while, I could've done something else while waiting...instead their response was always "They're working on your order now". I also pointed out that if they were working on it 50min ago, wouldn't it be ready by now? No response. I finally got my refund and no breakfast or realistic explanation, and after going to McDonalds for my wife's birthday breakfast, it was after 11 and too late. Thanks for wasting 2 hours of my time on my wife's birthday and now we get nothing. Back to going to Famous Toastery, that we love, and no more trying anything new! read more
