Absolutely the worst service I have had a restaurant in many years. I've been to First Watch all over Ohio and Indiana. This one should close. Takes forever to get order taken and even longer to get food. There was a family with young children seated near me that were there before I was and their food only arrived as I was leaving - and I was there for 45 minutes! Food was good but service was absolutely horrible. Ordered coffee and for what they charged, we could only have 1 cup because there was no creamer. (And no one to ask for more) My side of mixed greens came with no dressing. I asked for dressing and the server couldn't be bothered to bring it. We were seated next to the kitchen and observed many workers just standing around doing nothing. Our server seemed to not want to be there. This lack of service is unacceptable considering we were there after the lunch crowd at 1 pm. I would not recommend this First Watch restaurant. read more

Our first visit to First Watch was incredible. We had a great server, the food was great and arrived quickly. We decided to visit again today, and it was like it wasn't even the same restaurant. We checked in online as they are usually pretty busy. We shopped while we waited for around 40 minutes. No big deal. When we got there, we waited a few more minutes before it was our turn. We went to the counter and waited. And waited some more. They hadn't bussed the tables and there were tons of people waiting. We waited as they painfully took their time cleaning up. We finally got seated and ordered two entrees, two kids meals and doughnuts.... after waiting for 10-15 minutes before anyone even approached us. Everything moved incredibly slowly. My husband asked for water which never came. We ordered an appetizer which didn't come out before the meal at all. We waited around 20 minutes before our waitress finally brought out one meal and said the rest were coming right away. Not by a long shot. Ten minutes passed before the next two plates came, and then another ten before our daughter's arrived. We were nearly finished eating when they tried to bring us our appetizer. No, thanks. The one saving grace of this place was the manager. He came by to apologize and took the appetizer off our bill and assured us he would send over doughnuts on the house, which was kind of him. He also explained that they initially burned our daughters meal, which is why it took a while. Though kind, it doesn't take away the terrible service from our waitress. She disappeared for the last twenty minutes of our meal, and we had to find another waitress to help us. It was pretty ridiculous and took so much time out of our day of Christmas shopping. The Smoked Salmon Benedict was overdone but our Server quickly rectify the problem and brought me a new one. Service was better in the Concord location than Matthew. I came in around an hour ago and was seated super quickly outside by myself. My server took a little while to greet me, but I knew it was busy so completely understandable. I ordered my drink and food all at one time just to make it easy. My server came back around 20 minutes later with my water and said that she was waiting for clean glasses. I'm a server myself so I know that can happen, but then around 20 minutes later she drops off my food and says she's going to grab me a refill and she didn't come back until about 15-20 minutes later. I just asked for my check and left. No hate towards my server, but working as a server we all know things can get busy, but checking in and updating your customers go a long way. I eat by myself a lot and notice I usually get poor service because people would rather focus on larger tables that will probably give them more money. I always take that into account and tip very generous as if there was a 4 top sitting there I still left a 10$ tip on 14$ because I still took up her table, but in the future I just recommend treating everyone as if they may possibly tip you 100$ even if they don't. No hate to my server again I'm sure she's lovely, maybe just an off day. read more

No attempt was made from a customer service standpoint to try to make the situation any better. really not worth the wait or money. this place is packed most of the time, and every time we come we have a bad experience so it's not often we visit. we haven't been in over 6 months so we decided to give it a shot. the parking lot was full and so was the inside. we got sat at what was basically someone else's table, with misbehaving children on both sides of us. the family to our left hit me with each of their bags as they tried to fit through the two tables when leaving. a server came and got out drink order, then another server came and said she'd be taking care of us. confusing. we got our drinks, after being told the soda machine didn't work, and the teas were disgusting. tasted like they'd been prepared for over an hour and with no sugar. surprisingly our food came faster than expected, but we had no utensils to eat with. when we did get utensils, my husband didn't get a spoon for his soup. the food is below subpar. our first visit was unbeatable for this location. it gradually gets worse each visit. now my problem with this visit? my husband's roast beef sandwich had paper in it, from how they separate the meat. very nasty when that's your bite ... and made him not want to finish the rest of the sandwich. not to mention my eggs were green, and i never got syrup for my waffle even after asking. safe to say, i don't want to return here and waste anymore money. maybe i'll give the huntersville location a tr read more

Today I took my girlfriend and her mother to this location and it was a huge mistake. 1st the men's and women's restrooms at 11am looked like a night club at 2am. I had the avocado toast which was a salty mess. My girlfriend had the traditional breakfast one with bacon and the other with sausage, well both came with burnt salty potatoes that he'd to be sent but arrive again a salty mess. The bacon was a raw piece of fat no meat and the turkey sausage were bland and under cooked. Our server was very polite as she didn't cook the food she just kept apologizing. Upon exiting my girlfriend tried speaking to pregnant manager who became rude and tried to blame the meal on the server not addressing the overly salty food. I will still visit the location in Wake Forest but this location has very, very low standards and it shows. read more

The hostess/server was as attentive as she could be as she was wearing many hats on the Thursday morning I was there. She handled everything professionally and was pleasant but I could tell it was too much on her. It was pretty crowded but no wait when I arrived. I got the Healthy Turkey egg white omelet and it did not disappoint. The pico could have used a little more lime but it worked well with the egg. My daughter got the hash brown potatoes but was less impressed with the seasoning. Thumbs up for the Artesian toast! I love first watch and this is my first time dining at this location! I downloaded the app to join the virtual waitlist so I was able to come into the restaurant to check in and only had to wait maybe 10min (while they were quoting 1hr 45min to walk ins). The reason this review lost a star was because of the rude manager at the front micro managing the host stand. He didn't acknowledge me while I stood there in front of him. He finally said something to me, but rudely told me I wasn't on the waitlist when I clearly was because I just received a text that my table was ready. He decided to leave mid conversation, and I was helped my a young black girl with gorgeous hair and red tips (shout out to her she's so nice and helpful!) Our waitress was carolynn or red as her nickname. She was a five star waitress for sure! Super sweet and very helpful. I had the million dollar bacon to start which was delicious, although one piece was slightly burnt. I didn't mind. Then I had the trifecta which was yummy as well. The atmosphere was busy and loud but I found it to be really enjoyable! My only suggestion is to get rid of the old gray haired grumpy manager so that your customers get greeted by the other great staff you have at the door read more

Love a good brunch spot and like most there was a long wait on the Saturday I went but it was worth it. They also offer complimentary water and coffee while you wait. The interior makes you feel like you are at a farmhouse. I ordered the steak and egg hash which was loaded with mushrooms spinach onions and mozzarella cheese. It also came with Parmesan crusted ciabatta bread. The steak was prepared just right and was seasoned just right. The portion was also pretty hearty and I even had to take some home. We also go the lemon ricotta pancakes which was made with ricotta cheese and multi grain batter. They were light and fluffy and served with strawberries and creamy lemon curd which reminded me of of a lemon meringue pie. They offer a variety of other griddle items if you like exploring different style pancakes, waffles, and French toast. They don't offer alcoholic beverages so no mimosas at this brunch spot. The staff was very attentive and you can tell they are used to the breakfast rush. I would go closer to 1 o'clock pm on a Saturday once the crowd dies down a little. read more

I went with my husband for their soft opening. The decor was modern farmhouse chic. It was exceptionally clean since it's brand new. The menu was challenging for me. I couldn't really find anything that stood out to me. I ended up ordering the ham and guyere omelette. It was just okay. Absolutely made with real eggs which was a plus, but the flavor was just kind of blah. It was served with a side salad which I found extremely peculiar. I found out later that you can ask for something else. Their toast was excellent. Coffee was hot and fresh. They had tons of servers working and they were all friendly. This was not a good first experience. We waited over an hour for our food. The person with me got her food before mine and was finished eating and mine was still being cooked. The only thing the waiter could say was they are new and behind in the kitchen. However, there were people that came in and sat after is with kids, that got their food ahead of us. I came with my team mates for a work lunch outing. It was a Friday morning and I had called previously to see if I could make a reservation for 10 people. Even though I called to make a reservation days before, they declined because they don't take reservations. I even called the morning of to make sure they could accommodate our large group. When we got there they used their community table to accommodate us but it wasn't large enough. Their host and severs wouldn't push tables together for us because of "server sectioning." I was a little disappointed in their customer service. Although there seemed to be a lack of customer service, the food was fresh and all 10 people liked their meal.
