Our server was very kind about all of our Sally from When Harry Met Sally requests for our meal. Meal was great! However, as soon as we were handed a bill, however, the tone changed a bit. We weren't quite finished eating, so no big deal. We had not seen each other in months and took a little extra time catching up. We got a bit of unnecessary side eye for that. The food is great but the service is lacking. Every time I've been here the servers take forever to take orders, bring food, check up, and bring the check. I even asked for the check right away when we got our food since we were in a time crunch and it took her a half hour to bring the check. Tried this place for the first time today. We loved it! The interior has a clean and modern decor and the menu is extensive. Everything we had was great, and the service was top notch! They have the calories next to each dish, and depending what you eat, say you substitute the eggs for eggs whites or do not eat the sour cream, their website allows you to adjust your calorie count based on what you eat. I had the chickichanga . It's a flour tortilla baked in an egg stuffed with chicken, chorizo and cheese, with a side of breakfast potatoes. So yummy and healthy for the quantity and quality of food. The other nice thing about first watch is that you can use the "waitlist" features here on Yelp! It tells you exactly when to show up and what place in line you are. read more

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining here for breakfast last weekend, and were very happy with our whole experience. The menu is quite modern, yet has a nice wide selection that should please any palette. We ordered two different omelettes, and they were delicious and cooked to perfection. My favorite thing about the meal was that a nice mixed greens salad was included instead of potatoes or hash browns as your primary side. You can always substitute the potatoes for the greens, but for those of us watching our carb intake this was a refreshing change from other establishments. We were 100% happy with our meals, and left satisfied. That being said, this isn't the cheapest place in the world, but you certainly get what you pay for. What a wonderful treat! My friend and I stopped in for brunch on Saturday around noon and there was plenty of seats open. We both ordered the French toast which was great, nothing special, but the warm syrup and strawberry preserves really made it tasty. The service was excellent, we felt welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. Very attentive service without being overbearing. The coffee is robust and bold. The coffee mugs are deep and they leave the pot on the table. They tend to get busy at times, but you can put yourself in line ahead of your arrival by using either their app or website. That option is incredibly helpful and convenient. They have a rotating seasonal menu usually with some unique offerings. They don't charge extra for egg whites like so many other restaurants do. They are also very generous with allowing reasonable substitutions if you don't like an ingredient or side item that comes with your meal. The owners are friendly and involved. If you haven't tried First Watch yet, you don't know what you're missing! They are my go-to place virtually weekly! read more

BEST BELGIAN WAFFLES EVER! I get the trio every time which includes Belgian waffle with eggs and protein (bacon vs. chicken sausage vs pork sausage). The waffles are sooo fluffy but crispy at the time same. ALWAYS pay the extra dollar for pure maple syrup. I wish they served libations like mimosas and bloody mary's, but unfortunately they don't :( The dress is casual here. Lots of families and patrons in sweats. My mom and I came here after a morning of shopping for a healthier lunch option. There was a long wait so we just put in our order to go which was fast and efficient. This place is great if you are looking for lighter fare at a decent price point. We both got soup and sandwiches for under $10. The sandwiches are a good size and could easily be two meals. They had a variety of soups and the overall menu is pretty large with lots of great options. The vegetable sammie is SO good. Fresh grilled veggies, cheese and pesto on a really nice whole wheat bread - excellent vegetarian option. Um, I wish my first review of First Watch was before today. Up until today I loved this place for breakfast, lunch and brunch, but today really miffed me and it was not the food. I can always count on the food being consistently good here. What really irked me was the service! I am not sure if there have been some recent management and staff changes, but whatever it is, the customer service was poor today. My co-workers and I showed up at 11:30a and there were several open tables, but there was a wait. No big deal, I don't mind waiting for good food and thought maybe they don't want to slam the servers with too many tables at once. The wait wasn't too long maybe 15 minutes. I have noticed on recent visits they tend to keep several tables open even if there is a wait. We had one server stop by and ask if we wanted something to drink, then another server take our orders and then finally someone else who delivered our food and check. That's not what got me though. I ordered an omelette and instead of the sides of greens, potatoes and/or fruit and english muffin I asked to substitute for a pancake and was told that it would be a small charge, no big deal. Then I got my bill and saw that instead of a small up charge they charged me for a full side and almost $4.00 for one pancake. Seriously!!!! I asked the cashier if that was correct and she was snotty and said we don't do pancake substitutions. I know I've done this before and not even been charged. I don't mind paying a little bit but seriously you can't tell me being a breakfast place that a pancake costs more than fruit and an english muffin. I know they were busy but that is no excuse for the service today and the way the cashier responded to my question. I'm not sure I will come back to this location, maybe just frequent the one in Mequon more, the service there is always outstanding! read more

I like strong coffee, I promise. The coffee at First Watch, however, was not just strong. It was like they brewed 20 very strong pots of coffee, reduced the liquid down to one pot, then stirred in some instant granules for good measure. Holy buckets. The atmosphere is decent... a bit sterile. I like that the kitchen is wide open. It makes me feel good about the food I am about to be served. So let's talk about the food. The Chickichanga was very good. Thumbs up from everyone at the table. And I expected it to be good, as the menu told me "you gotta try this!" I also liked the fresh fruit, but I would appreciate more of it. I got one strawberry, and one cube each of pineapple, honeydew and canteloupe. And two grapes. Another thing the menu raved about was the Bacado omelette. Not sure why, because I thought it was really boring and bland, something I could have easily done better at home. One of my dining partners said his dish, the Acapulco omelette, wasn't as good as the Bacado, but I find that hard to believe. All in all, just OK. I won't go out of my way to come back. read more

Wow, this was a great surprise and treat today! The eggs were perfect, just the way I like them. I had the farmhouse skillet and getting avocado was definitely a treat for me. So so. My mom and I came here on a Friday morning around 8am and were able to be seated right away. The first thing I noticed is that the water glasses were incredibly dirty, like they hadn't been washed at all. We let this go and just didn't use them. But this wasn't a great first impression. Our waitress was just ok. She wasn't rude but she wasn't exactly friendly either. Onto the food...the menu was extensive and I had a hard time deciding what to choose. I ended up with the fruit crepes which came with a small side of granola and a large muffin. Overall my meal was mediocre. The crepes were cold. Now this could be standard as I typically don't order crepes but I had expected them to be warm. The muffin was a hit dry and again, was served cold. It would have been better served warm. My mom has ordered the French toast and thought it was just okay and a little dry. Also, when she went to grab her plate, the bottom of it was dirty as in stuck on food. Both of us also used the restroom which could have used some attention. Given the fact that I wasn't totally disappointed and there are so many great reviews on this place, I will likely give it a second chance. However if I encounter any uncleanliness again I will probably say something to the manager. read more

Have been to various other locations in Florida so I knew what to expect. Unfortunately, this location seriously let me down - from the drab uninspired decor in a room that did not have a warm feel to it, to the just meh food. Had the florentine benedict with soft scrambled eggs instead of poached. Everything on the plate was cold aside from the fruit cup (go figure)?!? Eggs were served hard scrambled and the whole plate literally lacked ANY flavor. I think the potatoes probably would have tasted good warm if not hot. I really did enjoy the super light and fluffy blueberry pancake with crispy edges even though there was not enough blueberries. It was served with warm blueberry preserves, I prefer the actual fruit myself in the pancake. Overall not bad but certainly not great. read more
