Who doesn't want a quick breakfast on a rainy day? First Watch has always been my go-to for brunch and while I was searching for breakfast after an appointment this was the place to go. Located right across the road from Sam's Club, First watch is nestled on the corner of a shopping center. Thankfully they were not packed on a Friday morning and I was seated right away by the hostess. The did have a seasonal menu that looked great but I'm a simple southern girl through and through. I ordered the Kale tonic and the traditional breakfast. You can't go wrong with eggs, bacon, and potatoes... and the artisan bread with jelly is my guilty pleasure!

Talk about an unexpected experience. Upon walking up to the door, they were opened by two of the employees. Talk about an entrance! Everyone welcomed me with a good morning. I was sat right away and Jess was my waitstaff. She was amazing. When they found out it was my first time in, they got very excited and it made me excited. lol The million dollar bacon is offered to first time customers and it was quite delicious. I would prefer mine a bit crispier however the flavor was amazing. I got the Markethash which was also did not disappoint. The feta cheese and mushrooms were a great combination. The potatoes had great seasoning and only feedback is to have them crispier. The crisp bites were the best. Their coffee was good too and I loved that they leave a small pot for self refills as well as a bottle of water for self refills as well. Ambiance was a simple quaint restaurant. Tables and booth mix and lists of outside light with floor to ceiling windows. Love the pay by QR code which gives several options after adding the tip. Door was also held open upon departing, wonderful service! Is totally come back to try other items and the service is just unforgettable.

As breakfast chains go, First Watch exemplifies what they should be. Between a busy parking lot and crowded front room we had the impression things would be slow moving here, yet we were wrong both times. Parking was quick and easy to find and despite the busy interior we were seated very quickly. The first thing that stands out about First Watch is the very clean and homey setting. It feels much more polished than an IHOP or Denny's yet the price of things are just about the same. Once we were seated we ordered relatively quickly and our waitress was very attentive despite having a busy section. We ordered a few things and every single thing was good. From the Parma skillet hash, which was extremely savory and well seasoned, to the French Toast, thick and sweet with a delicate flavor; it was all fantastic. We also ordered a pancake and it was huge for a single stack and it was good too, light and fluffy; the bacon it came with was also nice, salty and crisped nicely. The only thing we could ding the food for was our chocolate milk for being very much on the milky side, and guess what? They apologized profusely for it and brought us extra chocolate syrup to fix it. The service here was great, adding to an already fantastic meal. Side note: the mint mocha iced latte they have on the seasonal menu was also great, get it while you can! Paying the check was also somehow a far better experience than every other chain. You can pay up front or you can pay by QR code, which we know a few other places offer but the software they have here feels much, much quicker. From receiving the check to paying took (maybe) a minute. And that's the thing about First Watch, everything just works. The food, the service, the small intangible things that most other places don't care for; all of it was done well and done right. We wish we had one across the street from us, but we'll settle for a short drive that we know we will happily make to eat here again.

I've always liked coming to First Watch. My wife and I came in for breakfast and we ordered the seasonal donuts appetizer. (They're amazing) we also ordered a breakfast hash and the biscuit and sausage gravy meal. I don't have problems with First Watch, but every time we have gone the eggs are a little undercooked. I don't know how or why but they just are. My meal also had a lot of oil so I pushed that aside. But I still enjoyed it. Regardless I'm still gonna go and get their food from time to time when I can afford it.

Blte again! The food is always great. No wait to be seated on a Saturday. However the service took a while for them to take our order. There were two tables seated later than we were but got served first. Clean, almost full crowd. No military discount. :(

First Watch is a favorite for breakfast, brunch or lunch. I love the veggie omelette and their frittatas. Great service in a relaxed atmosphere. They always have a seasonal special for something fresh and different!

Got a couple of the seasonal items. Really liked the elote burrito. Would recommend getting that if they keep it on the menu. Got the caramel crunch iced coffee and took one sip. Don't order that. It was so bad. Fresh toast was okay. Service was okay. Our waiter didn't really check on us

Amazing breakfast spot. Family has been coming here for some time and we really enjoy it. You have to be careful to check the wait times to avoid a lengthy delay. Waitress was extremely helpful and all the staff was great. We enjoy the casual family friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back

We got here just before the Sunday morning crowd came in! Which was nice. Anyway first time trying this place and it was overall pretty good. I got the same thing that i usually get from other places. Eggs Benedict "classic" or whatever you want to call it with added spinach. I enjoyed my meal and the service. Our waitress was very kind and seemed genuinely nice. The things I did not like was that the cups they gave us for water were dirty. Also they charge $4.99 for coffee. Not for the table but for each person. I had half a cup only because the pot was on the table. But yeah overall I'd probably go back but there a few other places I'd rather try.

Delicious food! Got the Farmhouse Hash which tasted very fresh, as well as the million dollar bacon. Everything was delicious! Service was great, they were very attentive! And while the place was very busy, it still seemed to stay clean and flow smoothly. You can tell it's being ran very well.

Had a delicious breakfast with my husband the other morning. Jose's service was wonderful, including any additional support staff that helped our table. The ambiance was lovely and very pleasant. Highly recommend the egg-cellent breakfast sandwich. It was the first time I'd had it here and it did not disappoint.

Always glad when I travel to an area where there is a First Watch, and this Austin location did not disappoint. Great service from Jose, fun to give the new Double Crunch Breakfast Tacos and Honey Caramel Crunch Cold Brew a try. The tacos were so stuffed they were a bit hard to eat - a good problem! The cold brew was nice but waaaay to sweet, and I'd still order it again

Boyfriend tried to Strawberry tres leches french toast and LOVED IT! Even shared it with friends. Service was perfect. they are very attentive and quick with everything. Ambiance was perfect. I couldn't have been happier

The food is always incredible, but what truly sets this place apart is the people. Kylie, Nathan, Maddie, and so many others on the team consistently go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, cared for, and genuinely valued. Their kindness never feels forced -- it's just who they are. One moment that really stayed with me was when I brought my young niece, who has several allergies and can also be a bit picky with food. The chef personally came out to our table to ask thoughtful questions, understand her allergies better, and make sure she felt safe and comfortable eating there. That level of care meant so much to our family. Now that I'm pregnant, the staff continues to be just as attentive, accommodating, and thoughtful. They always make sure I'm comfortable and taken care of, and it honestly feels like visiting friends every time we walk through the door. Restaurants with great food are everywhere. Parking at Mutts was pretty smooth but it does look like it could be difficult on days or times where many owners decide to stop by. When entering there are a lot of security precautions in place ensuring that it would be VERY difficult for dogs to escape which is much appreciated. To get into the dog park itself you need to purchase a day pass which runs $14, there are other options like weekly, monthly, or even membership passes but as first timers we didn't want to commit too hard just yet. Ordering is pretty straightforward and the food options are simple, burgers and tenders and fries. They do also have a dog menu but it is very lacking for being a dog focused place, just two options for dogs and both involve peanut butter so in the case your dog is strange and doesn't like peanut butter then you're out of luck. There's a good amount of seating on the patio for food and the interior of the dog park also has a lot of seating and things for dogs as well like rocks, baths, and water bowls. They have a big screen out in the yard too so if you're into sports and would like to bring your dog somewhere to watch then this is a great option. Beware that you SHOULD NOT bring food into the yard, they don't explicitly say it but just know that is not a good idea. Overall, Mutts is an awesome place to bring a dog and just hang out and have them (or you) socialize. Consider stopping by with your dog when you have a chance!

So many tendon-y or grisly-pieces or I'm unsure what the true technically correct term is but they were gross. I kept spitting those pieces out, trying to give it a fair chance but apart from the texture some pieces did not smell good like old pork and some of the breading smelled of fish. I just couldn't stomach it. The potatoes were OK. The gravy was great. The mac and cheese had not one single aspect that was actual mac and cheese. Not one shred of cheese, not one drop of liquid cheese. Zero cheese flavor. If there was any cheese on it at all I certainly did not "recognize" it and that is terrible. Zero flavor, salt, or seasoning at all. It was simply boiled pasta shells. I also got the dump cake no ice cream. I don't understand all the rave reviews. Perfect Birthday Celebration at Roaring Fork!…read more On Sunday I celebrated my birthday at Roaring Fork with my family, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, and the view overlooking the quarry made the evening even more special. One of our favorite perks was that Happy Hour is available all day on Sundays. We started with a traditional margarita, a mango margarita, and a few mocktails, all of which were excellent. For appetizers, we shared the shrimp cocktail, fresh guacamole, and chicken flatbread. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and a great way to begin the meal. For our entrées, I ordered the cedar-planked salmon with miso soy glaze, and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked and practically melted in my mouth. My partner enjoyed the same dish and loved it as well. My youngest daughter ordered the New York strip steak with mashed potatoes, her boyfriend chose the ribeye steak with French fries (they definitely have expensive taste!), and my other daughter had the grilled rainbow trout. Every dish was beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. The red wine paired perfectly with our meal, and the staff graciously allowed us to bring a birthday cake, which made the celebration even more memorable. Between the exceptional food, beautiful atmosphere, great drinks, and attentive service, it was the perfect birthday celebration. I highly recommend Roaring Fork for a special occasion or a relaxing Sunday meal with family and friends.

I…read moreunderstand that time is money and that waiters and waitresses are working for their tips, but it truly sucks that it has become so difficult to actually enjoy your time in a restaurant, to just sit and relax without feeling this underlying rush. It's something that seems perfectly possible in pretty much every other country but the U.S. The moment you sit down, the waiter asks what they can get for you. They handed you the menu three seconds ago. There was absolutely no time to glance through it, evaluate your options, or discuss them with whoever you're sharing the table with. This happened at Roaring Fork, but it also happens 95% of the time I go out to dinner. Then the food comes, you eat, say no to dessert, and voilà: the check is waiting for you! Again, you can't just sit back and relax, take your time deciding whether you want dessert, maybe order a coffee or another drink. They want you out of there ASAP, and somehow you're still expected to tip 20%, which is ludicrous, but this is another conversation. Now, specifically regarding Roaring Fork, I do wonder what actually constitutes a "fancy" place. What is it? The view of the lake isn't exactly impressive. The inside is cute. Does having a cute interior make a place fancy, is that it? Or is it the high-priced menu? There's no bread offered at the table, nothing particularly special. I am genuinely lost when it comes to what makes a place "nice" these days.
