A great place to take your mom in downtown for a light lunch. Highly recommend the broccoli salad.

The Trio plates are what we ordered.

The atmosphere is very relaxing, the menu offers many things, the service was excellent and the food was equally excellent. It was our first time here and will certainly return. I highly recommend it but keep in mind rhey close at 3pm.

Green Chile Quiche and Broccoli soup - YUM

This Cafe is great!! Lots of locals it seems. We love the vibes and the ladies running it! The bacon cheeseburger was amazing! Wifey had the green Chile quiche with the broccoli soup and she loved them! And best of all, I can actually breath in here!! We'll be back soon!

Love this little sandwich place in Georgetown right off the historic square. The coconut cream pie was also amazing.

Rivery Coffee and Bagels

Rivery Coffee and Bagels

A wise woman once said, "Have you ever reached the rainbow's end and did you find your pot of gold…read more?" Well Fantasia I did not, but I did find a rainbow on my bagel. Does that count? Stepped into this coffee shop before started some work and I was in awe. It is so cute, clean, and calming! I ordered the silk moch latte with almond milk. I enjoyed my coffee, nothing too super duper special. However it was a good choice. I tried the rainbow bagel and was surprised. It has a fruity tasty. I got it with cinnamon sugar schmear and it all balanced so perfectly well. The cashier was very friendly and answered whatever questions that I had! I will definitely be back again and might even take a seat.

This is a really cute little coffee shop in Georgetown that offers an afternoon tea! I brought my…read moremom here for her and my birthday and got to enjoy two pots of really nice loose-leaf tea (a blue jasmine and a white peach tea) with plentiful pastries and desserts and tea sandwiches. It really felt hearty and filling but also very well-made, flavorful treats. The scones were one of the highlights for me - not too sweet but nice and crumbly and moist. The only thing I was missing was some clotted cream or jam to go with the scones! Both our teas did get bitter so I would have liked them to be pre-steeped and strained before they got to the table so they didn't continue to steep if we took our time with the tea. Other than these minor details, I highly recommend this afternoon tea at a great price. The service was wonderful, and super friendly and helpful. It's also in a cute little complex with some other shops as well. Highly recommend!

Service was good as usual. Except our server wasn't as attentive as they usually are. And my friend ordered one soup and she received another one. When she asked the server about it he said they were out of the one she ordered so they just gave her that one instead. They never even asked her they just switched it out. I thought that was odd. Anywho, I ordered the turkey Swiss croissant with a side of fruit for the first time. It was on the Sunday brunch menu. It was a bit too greasy for me so I won't order it again. My fave menu item Is the chicken salad on a croissant with a house salad and lemon vinaigrette. I'll probably stick to that from now on.

"Brunch so good I almost proposed to my mimosa" Walked into…read moreSweet Lemon Kitchen feeling like a responsible adult on a weekend mission: brunch that wouldn't require a nap afterward. Spoiler: mission accomplished, but the nap still happened because everything was that delicious. Started with a classic mimosa and their white sangria - both were bright, refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink. The white sangria had me convinced I could adult all day on fruit and good vibes (reality check: two sips in and I was already planning my next visit). The food? Oh man. The quiche of the house was fluffy, flavorful, and basically hugged me from the inside - paired perfectly with their house salad, which is loaded with fresh strawberries, candied pecans, and goat cheese that makes you feel fancy even in jeans. Then came the star: the croissant steak and egg sandwich. Buttery croissant + juicy steak + perfectly cooked egg = the kind of sandwich that makes you question every other breakfast decision you've ever made. I may have audibly moaned. No regrets. Huge shout-out to our amazing waitress, Grace! She was warm, funny, spot-on with recommendations, and made the whole experience feel like brunch with a friend who just happens to know exactly what you need. Grace, you're a gem - thank you for the great service! The vibe is cozy cottage-core perfection, and the whole place just feels like a hug from your coolest aunt who knows how to pour a drink. If you're anywhere near Georgetown, stop what you're doing and go. Tell them John sent you - or don't, because I want the table to myself next time. Highly recommend. 10/10, will brunch again (probably tomorrow). And if Grace is working, even better!

The Bistro at Lark & Owl - Pull apart cinnamon roll

Need or want...same difference. Smile. I was actually toying with the idea of buying some mud honey (spiced honey). My barista said that that the mud honey was a part of the Adaptogen Latte. The word Adaptogen sounded to me like a CBD substance. My barista assured me that an adaptogen was a nontoxic substance from a plant or mushroom extract. Thus, I decided to try this latte. While the latte was pleasantly refreshing, I could not taste a distinctive mud honey. Thus, I decided to purchase the latte but not the mud honey. This bistro was cute with the trappings of homemade goodies such as cookies, pastries and other snacks. After the book discussion, folks were mostly waiting in line to purchase books or have their books signed. I received the full attention of the Bistro staff.

I ordered a chai latte and enjoyed every sip. I also ordered a pull apart cinnamon roll and it came out cold and hard still after being warmed up, so I asked the employee to reheat it and it came out much better. I overheard them saying more than 6 minutes was good. They have a wide selection of sweets- both food and drinks. Loved my time here, would absolutely come back!
