I heard so much about this place I was so happy when I got the opportunity. We went Sunday 11/13, got on the wait list about 12:55. We got seated about 1:40, not too bad. It was very busy. Got our drinks pretty quickly and we placed our order when we got our drinks. I ordered the Lemon ricotta pancakes and the million dollar bacon. My companion ordered an omelet and farmhouse hash. After some time the waitress came and told my companion they were out of potatoes and offered options, she selected cheese grits. Not too long after the waitress brought her omelet but no grits nor my pancakes. We are noticing other diners are finishing up and leaving and the staff are starting to clean and start prepping for closing. Then the waitress comes and tells my companion they are out of grits. And offers options, this time she selects biscuits and gravy, I still have no pancakes. She brings the biscuits and gravy in about 5 minutes, the biscuits were hard but the gravy was good. Btw, still no pancakes. Ok I finally get the pancakes, delicious, I loved them. After I start the pancakes I get my bacon. I wish we knew that some items were unavailable when we were ordering and I wish we were served at the same time. read more

The food was DELICIOUS!!! We ordered the shrimp and grits, tri-fecta, waffle, and chocolate chip pancake. Everything came out as ordered and we all were pleased with the food. Every employee has their face covering hanging below their nose ... some on their chin. Either wear it properly or not at all. Sat at the bar, light fixtures had cobwebs in them, back bar was a mess and the site line into the back of house with a shelf full of paper products was sad. Cool concept, but poorly executed and managed. Service was slow and inefficient, food mediocre. Pay attention to the details and fully understand the concept of Augusta. Stand out as an exceptional place or fall into the bucket of crappy restaurants. read more

Wow, I haven't had such a rude, disorganized experience ever at a restaurant. We went in and put our names on the list and we're told it was a 60-90 min wait, but that we could keep our eye open for the first come first serve bar and eat there if we wanted. They said they would keep us on the list and if we decided to just eat at the bar to let them know. A seat opened for the bar and I'm 8 months pregnant so we went and I sat down, with my husband standing behind me until a seat opened up for him too. The bar tender with no hello, welcome, etc. just said "you're eating here right?" I can't do his tone and eye roll justice in words. Which we were fine with but we were under the impression we could leave our name on the list to see if that came up before a second seat at the bar. Not a problem, but the overall poor management of our expectations and the sheer rudeness of the bartender made us leave. I work in healthcare so I don't buy the excuse of "Covid is hard right now", bc I get it but you just don't treat people that way. We have no intention of ever spending money at a place that treats customers like that. read more

First and last time going here! Ordered a caramel, pecan cinnamon roll. It came served in a shallow bowl in about two inches of runny caramel pecan sauce. I needed to take the roll out of the bowl, onto a plate in order to try to eat it. The middle of the roll was completely raw! When I told the waitress she pretty much agreed with me but did nothing to rectify my order. When we cashed out we let them know how disappointing our meal was and we pretty much got an "oh well" reply. Worse cup of coffee that we ever had! read more

Food was not good. Service was terrible. Ordered eggs Benedict but one of the eggs was hard boiled. I pointed it out to my server who said "Sure is." It came with a green salad. There was almost no dressing. Pointed this out to server who said, "it's mixed in". Did not offer to bring any more dressing. She simply handed me the bill. Arrived and left name on list and no time was given for wait. After I went outside to wait another couple came out and said that they had 30 minutes wait. Then after 30 minutes I checked and they couldn't find my name and then told me that it would be 45 minutes more. If this restaurant is not going to take reservations they need better greeters. read more

The food here s good every time. I'm not made to feel out of place. I get what I ordered. The only thing I haven't liked it finding my food sitting on a table exposed to where people were standing in line waiting when I did a pickup order. I was uncomfortable and questioned if it had been tampered with by customers standing around it. Wasn't sure if I should eat it. It didn't feel very safe. read more

My family and I enjoyed a blessed and wonderful outing at First Watch for Mother's Day breakfast and was treated to not only delicious food-- which consisted of scrumptious Shrimp and grits, savory Crab Cake Benedict, delectable Morning Medication fresh juice but also to stellar customer service provided by a gracious, polite and pleasant waitress named A.J... she was very knowledgeable about all of the menu items and specials available. She is definitely an asset to First Watch!!! My family will definitely be recommending this restaurant for its mouthwatering dishes and well as the superb customer service !! read more

Okay, I'll start off by saying, the food and the atmosphere were good, but I really want to brag on the staff!!! We had an anger costumer come up to us and got in our faces (literally 6" from my friends face) while we were dining asking us to hurry up and leave so they could have our seat (mind us we had just taken our last bites of food, which hadn't even been fully swallowed at this point). The staff saw this happen and came and apologized to us for the way another costumer treated us and made sure we had everything we needed. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere grabs and you think, this is gonna be great... somewhat feels like an Atlanta hip spot. However your food arrives and you are severely taken back. The food is pricey however I don't mind if it matches the $$$ and this place doesn't. This spot just opened in Augusta last week and I am absolutely obsessed. The atmosphere is amazing and I love how laid back it is. The staff is great. The waitress could do better by paying attention the their tables. The foot is just amazing. I've been twice and the French toast is amazing. Make sure to order two. I also don't like that they charge everyone at the table for coffee if it's on one check. For instance, if a pot of coffee is brought to the table for the entire table everyone gets charged for the coffee. So be prepared! Besides that you will love the this place. read more

I had heard great things about this place so I figured I would try it. My first try I had ordered online pick-up. It was a Sunday and very busy. What I can tell you is that I enjoyed my meal however the customer service was lacking that day. My food was ready when I got there but she had to go make our drinks. So we waited 20 additional minutes for the drinks. When another hostess came from the back she asked had we been help and we told her she was making our drinks. That's when she shoo'd us away. Yes.....hand wave and all. I walked away and waited in the car. I figured that was a fluke so I tried again this past Saturday. Myself and a friend sat at the bar. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon. This time the service was great!! But me meal was lacking. My poached egg was hard boiled in the middle. And the hollandaise sauce had no flavor. I had ate at first watch a handful of times with my family and majority of the time our order was either cold or wrong this place particular has these young girl waitresses that like to do nothing but stand up at the counter and talk most of the time, that's honestly why the line is always long here they always are either conversing with each other up at the front without checking you out correctly. At this place they always have these rude young waitresses at the front that do nothing but stare and talk to on another the whole time you're seated who wants to be stared at the whole time while you're eating right no one, it's honestly irritating. It's honestly the reason it's always overly packed here due to fact that most of these young waitresses like to sit up front in a crowded area to converse most of the time without taking you're order about 20-30minutes later they never check if you want anything until last minute and whenever our order was wrong we'd wait another 20 minutes only for our food to come out cold with a whole different waitresses waiting on us/bring our food out cause the one that was waiting on us is always up in the front talking to another waitress they also rarely have there face covered or hair up. This only ever happens on Friday,the weekend, Monday and Tuesday. There's this one particular waitress a young skinny brunette girl waited on us had her long hair on the side up but we ended up having a piece of hair in our food we told her our order was wrong she ended up snatching the plates off rudely when she went to the back to correct our order she was eating gummy's and brought back our order again wrong with her face mask barely on her face with sticky hands which was very unsanitary, also this one particular time two of these waitresses had went outside for a smoke only to come back in not washing they're hands, went right back to waiting on tables. I had told the manager about these particular things but almost nothing seemed to be done about these waitresses that always stand up at the front, or the young girls hair always being put to the side, or they're face mask.
