It was so delicious. Service was friendly and fast. Most of the waiting was for the food. It was super fresh and flavorful. Everything was perfect food wise. Only downfalls were we wanted corn bread and they ran out when our food was ready. The rolls were more than likely just store bought.. Now they did send us home with a corn bread each. It was good!! Been on Broad street for around 8 years. Before that near the Board of Education on side Street. Decor is early old. The building is a mess. The food is OUTSTANDING. Service is slow but super friendly. My wife ordered the Chicked Fried Steak with brown gravy, fried corn, field peas, and corn muffin. I ordered the Hamburger Steak with brown gravy and onions, turnip greens, tomatoes and okra, and a corn muffin. Also, the fresh squeezed lemonade was stupendous. The food was old country style. Located on Broad St this is a great place for lunch. We went rather late, around 2:30 and it wasn't busy but there were several customers having lunch. Our waitress Lakedra took our orders promptly. My chef salad was amazing with ham & turkey and 1000 Island dressing. His club sandwich was very filling with ham, turkey, bacon & cheese. The fries were hot & fresh. It's very quaint inside and they weren't crowded but there is a steady flow of customers who dine in and order to go.
