What a wonderful Wednesday lunch surprise!! Vibe: Lunch with family Service: Excellent Taste: Delicious Parking: Limited spaces in front of door Star of Show: oxtails, Mac n cheese

Trying a new soul food spot. Oxtails rice and cabbage. The orange vegetable is rutabaga. It's similar to yam texture but tastes like cabbage. First try but very good. You know it's the real thing when they have pepper sauce on the table.

Ambience. B- Service. A Food. A+ Price. A Found near end of Broad street corner downtown , bottom floor of old historic building. Ambience is open and with tables and booths! And when busy... VERY LOUD! Acoustics need some help. Service is always "southern" friendly... if you need something ...just ask, they will try to accommodate. Today was great for our lunch dishes. Entree of chicken fried steak with gravy and side of housemade rutabaga and collards and muffin. Perfectly cooked and yummy. Sides of catfish and fried pork chops...perfectly battered seasoned and fried. I'm a happy camper today! I'm a fan today!

I have eaten here a couple of times since my last review about a year ago and it's still very good comfort food. I look forward to lunches when I'm in town. I love fried okra and smothered fried things! I've never had bad service here and no complaints.

Small but well known and tasty establishment. Great for lunch or early dinner. They offer Catering and they have daily desserts too. Call ahead and check if they have their famous chicken salad available.

Located on Broad St this is a great place for lunch. We went rather late, around 2:30 and it wasn't busy but there were several customers having lunch. Our waitress Lakedra took our orders promptly. My chef salad was amazing with ham & turkey and 1000 Island dressing. His club sandwich was very filling with ham, turkey, bacon & cheese. The fries were hot & fresh. Definitely a great place for lunch with freshly made food.

Yallllll this place is yummy!! I hate they have specific hours because I want to bring my family, but so far this is just one of my favorite lunch spots. Everything is seasoned great, good flavors, never had my order wrong. Put it on your bookmark places! It's an Augusta lunch gem.

I love this place and will follow it wherever it goes. If you like good meat and vegetables, you will love it too. The desserts are no joke also. I usually get vegetables and the men in my life go for pork chops or fried chicken. Never disappointed.

This repurposed building of Oldtown Augusta is accented with open doors as the server/host stand.

As a chef, I'm critical of myself more than others. That being said, I've read several reviews on this establishment. First and foremost, I must break each one down. #1 Atmosphere and decor - I've heard basic & non-existent thrown into the mix. This building was repurposed into a quaint space. The space was meant to intimate or family style. A mixture of large rounds and a few booths, you have the makings of an experience many restaurants try but fail to master. #2 The wait time - I'm a firm believer that if you build it, they will come. I step into the doors of this establishment at just the right time. 1130am. By 12noon it was packed, but the experienced staff got them in and out with precision. Kudos to the owners and staff at the 209 on Broad.

Pretty good little corner spot in downtown Augusta. However, I do NOT recommend spending tour lunch breaks here. They are super short staffed and the wait time will be for an eternity! SLOW service, omg. Sooooo slow. But if you have the time to sit and wait, the food is excellent.

Overall pretty good food, was not disappointed. Will be back when I have the time, but wouldn't be my immediate first choice.

Fried chicken was extra legit. Side veggies were stellar. Would definitely come back to this soul food gem.

We started with the Pineapple Mimosa carafe ($18 for about 4 mimosas--great value!), but the real star was the Apple Cider mimosa we ordered later. I highly recommend starting with the cider! As a farm-to-table spot, the 30-minute wait for food was completely reasonable and well worth it. My Chicken and Waffles were cooked to perfection; honestly, the best I've ever had. My girlfriend's breakfast platter was equally impressive, specifically the house-made jam, which was a fresh, standout highlight. We finished with the Hello Honey and Cinn Full iced coffees to go, both of which were incredible. After a week in Augusta, this is my highest recommendation!"

The service is friendly and sometimes the kitchen can be slow, but the food is generally very good. The portions, to include the kids portions, are very generous.
