I stopped this morning to get a. Iced coffee with non dairy creamer. I was handed a regular coffee plain and told the young girl that I wanted an iced coffee but could not have dairy. I said I was allergic to dairy. Asked if they had almond milk, she said no but they had soy. Soy would be okay, but she said she couldn't put the soy In the cup.?? Sooo, after waiting, a man came back out with iced coffee with dairy. I asked him if there was milk in the cup, he said of course. I said I am allergic to dairy, he said I should have ordered a cold brew with extra soy. So much for that restaurant. There are many good places nearby to get a coffee. read more

Best breakfast place in Southern Pines / Aberdeen. This place is a must try. They do an excellent job adhering to COVID protocols. Most of the servers remember us and know our order, unless we change it up on them :) We look forward to seeing Sierra, Jocelyn, Travis, and Kealee, they always make us feel welcome. Never go on a weekend. I've eaten there before on weekdays and always get the Eggs Benedict which is usually very good. This Saturday I ordered the same and it was poor. Eggs fried not poached and broken up. Hardly any hollandaise on the eggs. Potatoes greasy and burned, oil on the plate. I ate it because I was hungry and had to get out of there. I paid my $23 bill (eggs & juice) and the manager asked "how they could make it better". I should have said 'no charge' but sucked it up and left. NEVER GO ON A WEEKEND AND ALWAYS HAVE THEM TAKE IT BACK IF ITS NOT RIGHT. read more

With a couple of days in Aberdeen, I stopped in at First Watch for lunch. I was given the choice to sit at the bar. I accepted. First Watch is my go to for a fresh meal and I was not disappointed. The avocado toast with over easy eggs were perfect. What caught me off guard was the kind service I received. Brett and Addison could not have been anymore welcoming. Brett said it was Addison's third day and thought she would be a perfect fit for them. I would not have thought this by the way she carried herself. They both had a relaxed and calming air that brought a freshness to my time and seemed they enjoyed being there. First Watch you have a couple of wonderful people representing your establishment. Take care of them or they might just get snatched up. It was a treat to see young people who, just by the way they treat others can change lives and not even know it. Downgrade is due to COVID-19 protocols not being followed. People waiting inside the building for takeout orders not wearing masks, management didn't enforce state guidelines. Menus handed out weren't disposable but QR code menu was available. Hostess mask below nose. All that aside, service prompt and efficient, and our waitress knew how to wear a mask. :) Food good as usual. read more

I have always wanted to eat at a Firstwatch cafe, so today I finally gave it a try. I know it's the day after thanksgiving but my experience today was awful! To start out the hostess sat our party of three at a two person table, we moved ourself over to a larger one. The waitress had her child following her as she took our order, and we waited awhile for our drinks. Once we ordered my wife asked for a spoon to stir her coffee, but never received one. The food came out, but we did not have any silverware to eat it. We also never had any straws for our beverages. My eggs were made improperly, and my daughter asked for no tomatoes but got them anyways. I asked for over medium eggs on my hash skillet, but they were over hard. I also ordered the million dollar bacon appetizer, and it never arrived. I asked my sever about it and she told me that they were out of it. The waitress was not attentive and seemed to be looking over her child more than her customers. We had to ask for our check and the server did not seemed very concerned with the issues we had. The manager knocked off 20% off my bill but her main excuse was that she worked at another location. I'm very disappointed with my experience and doubt that I will be back. It's a shame because there are a bunch of FirstWatches all over my home area. read more

Hostess/waitress was very friendly. Ham and cheese omelette was very good and hot but bread wasn't properly toasted and pancake was cold.
