Overall solid experience at First Watch today. Servers were friendly, the coffee was solid, and the food came out quickly. My BLT Eggs Benedict was the exception and came out about 10 minutes after everyone else's food. I would give the BLT Eggs Benedict a 3/5 -- good quantity of food but hollandaise sauce was pretty average.

I looked over the other reviews and saw a gap that needed to be filled. Here goes: 1.) Go online to their website and put your name in so that you get a table without waiting when you show up. If you forget, they take your cell phone number and text you when it's ready. Sit outside with plenty of seating or in your car. 2.) There's a wide selection of goods: gluten free, vegetarian, meat lovers, pork-free options, eggs whites, etc. If you have a diverse group to feed, this place can make everyone happy. They even have the menu sectioned out nicely, all with the calorie contents (avert your eyes if you aren't into that and go for it). Another important thing to mention, they have a seasonal selections that will not disappoint. We've tried everything from pumpkin pancakes to the açaí bowl and it's all yummy. 3.) Draanks: Coffee, Juice, Juice elixirs, cocktails and beer. Don't assume every location has booze and beer, cause they don't but this one does. 4.) Customer Service: They are good! I love that they check in and update you if there are any delays. There's nothing worse than being kept out of the loop and seething with frustration. Happy servers, upbeat environment and excellent team work. 5.) Cleanliness: Just look at their health inspection, they're clean! They had dedicated members in the dining area to wipe down and sanitize between guests. Thank you! Eat here, as you will not be disappointed and you'll be lulled into that perfect food coma nap frame of mind.

Excellent flavor and unique recipes. We have had food from two locations in this franchise. It's not the typical "southern style" in my opinion, but it's good. The Turkey sausage gravy couldn't hold a candle to the real deal for me, but it wasn't bad. The French toast is where it's at! If you love coffee, give theirs a try. We have been to a First Watch in another location and enjoyed our experience. This time was an experience, just not a good one. Once we were seated, we found out, after ten minutes, that we were without a server. The host apologized and took our order. None of the other servers acknowledged us. After 20 minutes, I asked about our meal and after another 10 minutes, it came out. We asked to exchange the toast but never received it. We wound up having to go to the register for our check and then had to ask for the toast to be taken off. I understand that staffing is an issue everywhere, but to not be acknowledged by any of the servers that kept walking by was disappointing. This was a less than pleasant experience. Been here a couple times with my wife and we haven't been disappointed. The overall experience is great. The service is excellent, all the waitresses and waiters are kind and well mannered. The restaurant is very clean, open and inviting. But, the best part is the food! We usually buy the same thing when we go to our favorite restaurants but that doesn't happen here.
