Wow, this place pumps in the business! Found this place on a Friday morning and it was full to the gills with people, so I sat at the counter. Had the chicken fried steak breakfast with sliced potatoes and onions. You definitely need to try that when you eat here. A little char on the potatoes and the onions melted in your mouth. Small parking lot, not the prettiest place, but just good old fashioned food. Prices are reasonable. Google maps is incorrect in finding the place, it puts you in the middle of an intersection! Parking lot was packed, lucked up in getting a spot. Plenty of seating despite being crowded with regulars (everyone seemed to know each other). Seemed like you seat yourself, we saw a table & grabbed it. Friendly Staff who checked on us often, food came out pretty quick, despite the crowd. Unique decor, and tables, very small-town diner vibe, nothing fancy, but overall good. We both ordered burgers, you have your choice from four types of fries, tots, or onion rings. Burger is ground-chuck which tasted great, it was served on a great bun and with all the fixins you wanted from mayo to pickles. The fries were served hot (steak & crinkle), I tried a side of lima beans that were okay. The overall experience was good, and with two waters came to around $17. Not bad for what we got, will stop in again on our next visit to area. read more

If you are looking for a old fashioned greasy spoon that delivers solid comfort food, this is the place for you. The prices won't hurt your pocket, the wait staff are friendly and never in a hurry, the food is what you expect from a local neighborhood cafe, nothing fancy, lots of choices, I especially like the fried potatoes with onions which is a choice with breakfast, and raisin toast, who serves raisin toast anymore.. the parking lot is always packed but I have not had a problem finding a table. read more

this place is pretty dismal. Ordered a glass water and that tasted like bleach. Steak was difficult to chew and had a lot of Mrs Dash sprinkled all over it. Scrambled eggs tasted like whatever was cooked in the pan before the eggs made it in there. Clientele looked like they were on their last legs. Waitress was burned-out and not friendly. celing tiles are stained and saggy. Whole experience shows owners don't care. But, what is does have going for it is that the area is in a serious lack of good restaurants that people settle for mediocre food when the eat out. read more

Staying at the hotel we went out to get simple breakfast and what a wonderful surprise! Decor is simple but clean ( including spotless restrooms!). Anyway, who cares about interior design before morning coffee. Service was amazingly efficient and wonderfully friendly and helpful. Our coffee was reasonably strong and in front of us about 60 seconds after ordering it. Eggs very fluffy, hot and well seasoned, toast was golden and warm and the pancake pillowy and light. Couple of special requests ( side of butter, honey, tomato, onion) were delivered promptly and with smiles. What a great way to start your day! If ever again in the area I will stop by for breakfast! For the most part yes, really great for breakfast and lunch meals like burgers, sandwiches hot n cold, fries etc. They'll make just about anything you ask, on the menu or not!! Only reason I'm doing 4 star is because I have not been able to have their lunch. However, if it's anything like their breakfast it's gunna be on point. Husband and I were looking for a spot to eat brunch. Originally, we were across the street at Mac's, but the amount of people coming in and out of Sizzling's is what made us pull out of Mac's and cross the road. I'm so glad that we made the choice!!! You sit where you want and the staff is so friendly. The sweet tea is spot on and just like Grandma used to make. We ordered and our food came out REALLY fast! We weren't expecting it to come out that quickly. The food is something your mom would make. It's seasoned perfectly and so damn good!! Oh, and the biscuits are so airy and light. I wasn't expecting it to be so buttery and light! They are worth the whole trip to eat here. We will definitely be back. They also have a military discount! One star well deserved. Visited today AM 9/13. We experienced nothing but rudeness. Nobody to assist in finding a table but plenty of people shoving past us while we stand at the entrance bewildered. I'm visiting my Dad, a local, and he selected this place for my first breakfast in town. I had the Around the World omelette, and my dad had the grits, eggs and bacon. The coffee is very strong, as noted by a previous reviewer. The food was delicious (which is not surprising given the butter factor.) The menu had lots of options, and they executed our two special requests well: crispy hash browns for me, crispy bacon for dad. The ambiance is fun: red and white diner-stable seating with a black-and-white checked floor. Lots of fun tchotchkes on the walls to keep you entertained. Definitely a solid choice for breakfast. Wow. The steak sucks. The service is okay (the locals get more attention and we were kept waiting for a several minutes). The eggs are okay, but I cook better at home (and I'm a pretty crappy cook). The french toast was pretty bleh. The bacon was good (it's hard to mess up bacon). The ambiance is good. I like the car embedded in the roof outside. I think it's the ambiance that enamors folks. But the steak was a poor cut and poorly cooked. I tried to eat it, really I did, but I had to spit several bites out because I couldn't eat it (and my partner couldn't stand it either). This is everything you want in a diner. We always come for breakfast but folks come for their burgers as well. Prices are good and staff were extremely friendly. They were laughing and joking with each other and it's just seemed they loved what they do. The food came out fast and was made to order. The Belgian waffle was crispy on outside and fluffy on the inside. As a bacon lover, I was not pleased because it was way too crispy to even taste the flavor (I didn't order it that way).
