I wish I lived closer I would eat here at-least once a week. The fish on fish Fridays is the best fish I have had here in NC. The slaw is my favorite kind of slaw. Hush puppies are perfect. Cannot wait to go back

Parking lot was packed, lucked up in getting a spot. Plenty of seating despite being crowded with regulars (everyone seemed to know each other). Seemed like you seat yourself, we saw a table & grabbed it. Friendly Staff who checked on us often, food came out pretty quick, despite the crowd. Unique decor, and tables, very small-town diner vibe, nothing fancy, but overall good. We both ordered burgers, you have your choice from four types of fries, tots, or onion rings. Burger is ground-chuck which tasted great, it was served on a great bun and with all the fixins you wanted from mayo to pickles. The fries were served hot (steak & crinkle), I tried a side of lima beans that were okay. The overall experience was good, and with two waters came to around $17. Not bad for what we got, will stop in again on our next visit to area.

Great place, good prices and nice staff. Fried potatoes are just like homemade. Ladies group goes once a month. We love the atmosphere.

We registered on a "waitlist" before leaving our hotel, which is ten minutes away. We still waited at least half an hour even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. Another couple, who were there waiting when we got there, just got up and left, saying they were going to Outback. We decided to stick with it, which was a bad decision. When we were finally seated, we had another extended wait for the server, who came by to take our drink order. We went ahead and gave her our food order as well. We both ordered iced tea. The server asked me if I wanted lemon for the tea, and I said "yes please - lots of lemon". When she brought the drinks there were no lemon slices at all - zero. About the food, I wanted ribeye, rare. The server recommended I get the Outlaw Ribeye, saying it would be thicker than the less expensive one, so I ordered the Outlaw. My wife ordered a shrimp dish which was swimming in butter and greasy. I don't know how thin the less expensive ribeye would have been; my "premium" cut was not an inch thick and nearly all tough fat. I could hardly chew it enough to swallow it - every single bite required a lot of chewing just to be able to get it down. The service was nonexistent until it was time to pay the check. There were no drink refills until the check was on the table. We opted to use the QR code to pay the check so we could finally get out of that place. Of course this terrible experience was not inexpensive. Our advice would be to go anywhere but here to eat.

Service is spotty at best and the atmosphere is loud and obnoxious. If you're looking for McCormick and Schmidt, Sullivan's or even Capital Grill this place doesn't measure up to them. I'll be honest, I have had a better steak at Longhorn at half the price. We had to ask 3 times for bread, the soup came out and then the entrees came out a minute later. Wait! What? This is supposed to be high end, right? We sent it back, then 2 minutes later the manager forced the entrees in front of us. A manager that was in jeans. Really? I'm guessing this is the owners kid who knows nothing about high end dining. The food was so-so. I do a better steak on my grill with Harris Teeter butcher shop steaks. The baked potato was not cooked through. The mushroom Demi glaze was a clove laden mess. Awful. It's really loud here too. Difficult to hear and have a conversation. A star for the French onion soup but that's it. Do yourself a favor and pass on this restaurant

Good experience. Definitely try this place…read more Plan for 2 hours. Not a negative or positive- just an observation. Bottle of wine, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 desserts = $175 not including tip. Complimentary biscuits were not fully cooked - still doughy. Waitstaff said they were "waiting for the biscuits to cook" - totally understandable, but wait 3 more minutes so you don't serve uncooked dough. This is a time management thing for the kitchen: 5:00 reservations = put biscuits in the oven no later than 4:40. Escargot was good. Disappointed that our dirty/empty appetizer plates stayed all over the table so long. This is the difference between "fine dining" & a typical restaurant. Utensils used for appetizers should be removed & replaced for main meal. Just another little detail that sets apart "price is worth it" & "why'd I pay that much?" Steak frites were good. Lamb was good. Desserts were good. Cacao nibs were entirely too hard - I thought I was eating pieces of nut shells. Not enjoyable. Waitress was very friendly, but we did get the feeling that we weren't regulars, so it was ok to not pay attention to us (like remove dirty dishes).
