i love this place! they have amazing food and are very kind. keep in mind this place is CASH ONLY ! Lots of places inside and out to eat which was handy since we were traveling with our dogs. Shrimp basket with fries and slaw, $8. Had a lot of local favorites. Everything was $10 or less. Chuckwagon is a very unique experience loved by the locals. Prices are reasonable. Menu has enough variety to please the whole family. With this being my first time to my husband's childhood favorite spot, I went for a chuckwagon with cheese, onions, and mustard. They forgot the cheese, but it was pretty delicious. I'm a fan of fried food, and this chuckwagon is a fried burger. Fried. Burger. We also tried the fries (crinkle cut and a very hearty portion), cheese sticks, and corndogs. All fried and delicious. There are other items available (not fried, lighter fare) such as soups and salads. We're gonna split the banana puddin' once we take a break from this mountain of food we couldn't finish. read more

I thought hot dogs were relegated to the fridge and served only to kids. Not here. From the freezer to the fryer you can get your monthly supply of golden saturated breading in a sitting. I feel gross right now. Not fresh. Chick wagon also describes how the food is chucked on the plates. Slaw is plain, only green cabbage. the taste is good, but is there not another veggie for this? As a local I grew up eating here. It's a small town burger joint, which has come a LONG way from what I remember it as when I was a kid. You order/pay at the window and your food is brought to your table. It gets busy at lunch, but I've never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time. Call in (pick-up) is available. CASH ONLY. Don't count calories here or judge a book by it's cover. This place offers anything from burgers, hotdogs, fries, chili cheese fries, milkshakes, fish fillets, fried okra/squash/pickles, grilled cheese, etc. Their slaw is delicious. Many times I have ordered slaw from here for cookouts at my house. Easy peasy. Overall- It's dirt cheap, greasy/unhealthy, but delicious :) read more

Back In the area and stopped in for a late lunch. Ordered the Large BBQ sandwich with fries and tea at the window and they brought it to my table. BBQ had a nice smokey taste with BBQ sauce and slaw added. The best I have had around here. Very clean inside and out, including the bathroom. Very roomy inside with different size tables. Chuck Wagon is a great local Burger place. If you do not like hotdogs, I suggest not going. It serves a very good red hotdog with slaw and chile for about $1, the best thing at the Wagon. Number 2 is BBQ= The BBQ is exactly what BBQ has been in driveins for 30-40 years. The fries are crinkle cut, hot and plenty of them, they are not spongy. For about $5 you will get all the food you can eat. read more

I don't eat here often but I love it. Good cheap burgers fries hotdogs and Jumbo sweet teas. They have more food too like fish and all kinds of country burger joint type things. Cash Only I believe though which aint so bad especially as cheap as their food is. Might be Cheap but its dern good! and they have a drive thru and a new area to sit inside or outside. I will say its greasy but hey I like that kind of thing! It aint upscale its a good ole country burger place to get you some down home food! Starting off with the service, horrible. We ordered at the window and sat down every one in the place that came in after U.S. Got food before we did. I mentioned this to a person that was walking around delivering food, they said they would check...20 minutes later still no food. At this point I would normally walk out but you have to pay first...the saving grace for this place..the bbq plate, it was very tasty. At first I was skeptical at first, there was no sauce on the BBQ, but it was seasoned nicely and was tasty. This place is so so good! I love going here, you can get a huge drink, chili cheese fries and a big burger for under (or right at) $5 :) CASH ONLY, but it's worth it.. Plus they have a ATM inside. Drive thru and indoor and outdoor dining areas. All the food I have gotten here was good.
