They used to have some of the best Brussels sprouts I've found, but I learned today that they have been discontinued. Along with my favorite BLT that is no longer on the menu. This ended up being our best meal in Pinehurst and way better than we could have imagined! First, we were seated outdoors with the perfect view of the 18th hole. This in itself made for a fun dinner. Second, was the service. We really just came in to get a drink and appetizer but our server was so engaging and the appetizer was so good, we decided to stay for dinner. From the house salad with chicken, to the BLT, you can't go wrong with anything off the food menu. The brussles are a must try! This is our favorite place to grab lunch when visiting the resort. The food is mostly lighter meals sandwiches and appetizers. We ordered the tater tots, which was their special. My wife had the shrimp tacos which was ok. In town with 12 of us for a guys golf weekend. This place seemed to be the 'go to' option because it's big, there are many large tables and there are adequate food options for many. I have eaten lunch here twice in the past two days. The food has really gone downhill, and the kids menu is outrageously expensive for kids. This used to be my favorite place to eat in Pinehurst after Lisi. They used to have amazing chicken tenders. Yesterday (12/27/23) I had chicken tenders and they were mostly breading. My son ordered mozzarella sticks off the kids menu--Which is outrageously priced for a kids meal-- and two of his mozzarella sticks had no cheese in them--just breading with empty filling. I told our waitress she was really sweet about it, told the kitchen and they took money off of our bill. Today we went back for lunch. Not good. I split the buffalo chicken tacos and blackened shrimp tacos with a friend. (We had one of each). The chicken tenders looked better than yesterday and were substantial in size. Both tasted awful. They tasted as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I didn't finish. Also $15 for kids Mac n cheese that's literally Kraft. We come to Pinehurst at least twice a year. I always make a point of visiting the deuce because the food (in the past) has been good. Please get it back together. Just two very bad dining experiences and it will be awhile before I try. read more

Our family came here for dinner as part of an afternoon tour of the Pinehurst Resort and the famous No. 2 golf course. The weather was beautiful and provided an amazing backdrop for us as we looked onto the action on the 18th hole from inside the restaurant. As for the food, I ordered a BLT with a side of fried brussels sprouts and the portions were generous and reasonably priced given the location. There were quite a number of other patrons enjoying the restaurant, and the place was actually quite loud from the energy at this venue. I will absolutely be back and highly recommend it as part of a tour of Pinehurst. read more

Great food. Great service. You can look out the window to Pinehurst number two. I recommend walking through the clubhouse looking at all of the history on the PGA tournament set up and played there. There is a massive putting green outside of the pro shop that you can practice on before or after your meal. It is the true Pinehurst experience. Can't wait to go back. read more

We came in on Friday mid afternoon, so fairly quiet time and our server Sidney was such a sweetheart. We loved the ambiance here, nice, clean tableware, glassware with great ice to water ratios (the good ice! - tiny cubes), very classy. We had window seats to overlook outside seating and watch some golfers playing out on the course. On the pricey side, but everything was delicious! Pork BBQ Nachos - 5/5 so good, pulled pork was the most tender, juicy and flavorful i've ever had, and jalepenos were actually spicy with a nice kick Thai Salmon Salad - 5/5 loved everything in the salad, the only suggestion I would add is include grape tomatoes to balance it perfectly. I love arugula, the crispy cuts of cucumber, onion zing, and the soy dressing all came together really well. The salmon was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Philly Cheese - 4/5 hubby got this and said it's the best he's ever had, he gives it 4.5; I had a bite and it is good but not my favorite. It's too heavy for me. read more

The service was a bit slow as it took awhile just to be recognized after being seated by the hostess, and follow up service was not much better. Good food, good service, ambience is a little institutional. We were looking for a lunch stop for a short road trip we wanted to take from our Fearrington Village home. We've never been to Pinehurst (don't golf) and saw the Deuce was highly recommended. After a pleasant jaunt down country roads, we pulled into Pinehurst which is quite imposing, and all that it's cracked up to be. The Deuce is one of two lunch spots at Pinehurst, the other being for members only. The menu is varied, with mostly old favorites. I found a yummy berry-and-spinach salad, and my companion had a salmon-topped salad. The Deuce has six beers on tap and a moderate wine selection--we both found something we liked. The service was friendly and attentive and we never lacked for anything. The ambiance is somewhat institutional: think lots of formica and vinyl. But that's a minor complain and to be expected given that it's a place for golfers to chow down after a sometimes-sweaty 18 holes. read more

The buffet is top notch and worth every penny. The location is nice, feels upscale, and has a great view. The only negative I can comment on is that our server was practically non existent. At a buffet it just meant it took a long time to get drinks and the check, but if we had needed more than that we would have been very frustrated with service.
