This recommendation saved me close to $2000 as it turns out we do not have bed bugs as indicated by the first assessment. We really liked Dominic when he came out to help us w/ our rodent problem last year. Since then his business has grown. He now has an answering service taking his calls. We recently discovered another rodent infestation. I first called Thursday, November 14. The woman I spoke w/ took my information, getting both our phone number and our address wrong, which I corrected when she read it back to me. She said she'd have a field supervisor call me. When I had heard nothing by November 21, I called again, this time speaking a man, who took the information again, getting all the numbers right this time. It's been almost a week and we still haven't heard back, so I called another company, which was much more responsive and sent a worker out today. I am honestly so sad that I didn't go with First Select from the beginning. A few months ago, a rodent ran across my living room. I called a company whose name rhymes with BARK, and began services. Their exclusions expert also inspected my home but could never find an entry point. It's been months. Last night, a rodent got caught in a trap in my living room and ripped his own tail off to get out of the flimsy trap that the old company set. Fed up, I called First Select. Dominic squeezed me into his already full schedule and came by my house, although his work day ended. Within 10 minutes of being in my home, Dominic found multiple entry points and rodent droppings. He sealed them off and set traps. I feel so much better sleeping in my home tonight. I had a yellow jacket problem near a big red wood tree. I called around for the treatment. Some companies asked so many questions to make such issue complicated and expensive. First Select Pest Control was busy and called back in the later afternoon, but just right at we tries to make decision with another company. Bill chat with me for the situation simply and provided the best price in town. This shows that First Select Pest Control has the best knowledge for yellow jacket treatment. Once we verbally agreed on treatment, they provided schedule and kept updating when you would come, which is very professional. We had already hired this company to treat our wasp situation a few months ago, which they did quite well, removing a wasp nest. But the wasps returned and built three more angry nests. We planned to hire the company again. Michael arrived the next day, early in the morning, and removed the three nests. Michael also gave us two wasp catching traps and handled his visit as a no-charge courtesy call. Amazing. The traps work well and are filling up with dead wasps. It took me quite a few months (8?) to get around to writing this review, but Dominic was every bit as great as the other reviews say. And I had time to see if our ant problem would return--it didn't! Honest, easy to schedule with, friendly, and super knowledgable. He immediately assessed the situation and treated specifically those areas on the perimeter of the house that needed attention. I called Dominic for help with a rat under the house. We are currently in the process of trying to trap it, as it has been illusive and persistent. I will have to provide an update when we are successful. Dominic was very knowledgeable from the start. He has been responsive to my concerns, and even came out on Thanksgiving morning to get started. I was connected with Dominic through a referral from another local pest company regarding an ant problem. Dominic called me immediately (on a Friday night, no less) and left a voicemail. I called him back on Monday and he offered to come back the very next day (and worked around MY schedule on the timing). Dominic showed up on time (early even), was professional, friendly, and genuinely cares about his work. He took his time with the inspection (indoors and out) and explained his process in detail. His prices were lower than other pest control services I've talked to (only $95 for the visit) and he even offered to come back free of charge to spray the side of my house after I have my gardener trim up some extremely overgrown bougainvillea/rose bushes. He completely annihilated attic rats I had living in Pinole but more importantly he taught me how to handle them in the future just in case they ever come back. Michael Nelson, at First Select came to my home today. I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He knew exactly what to do. I had problems with rodents in the crawlspace. He was able to go into the crawlspace and repair a hole in my roof. He made a diagram of where the hole was and showed me pictures. He also explained how he would make the repair. I called the office at 3:00 A.M. after hearing the noises. The answering service was helpful and I got a call back shortly after I spoke with them. This company is great. Nice person, friendly service, very transparent about the cost of the initial estimate which was rolled into the final bill as a credit, but have to be honest, the final bill was quite high for the work that was done. We paid about $420 for a couple hours work....sealed a couple of holes, laid down a door strip, put in some traps. Seemed like quite a high hourly rate compared to other service providers like electricians or plumbers. So overall, bit on the pricey side especially considering the mice are still there, though he was very clear he did not guarantee that they would all be caught....but it would have been nice to at least catch one for all the money we spent. read more

Quick response and AMAZINGLY good service during their visit! Dominic responded to my Yelp plea for help with an ant problem. Little jerks were EVERYWHERE in our house following the rains! Dominic arrived the next day and did a thorough inspection of both the interior and exterior of the house and sprayed a few spots outside. His assistant (Michael, I think?) did a little baiting inside. They were both extremely polite and personable. But more importantly, no more ants!!! I particularly like that for one cost ($240) we get several visits over the course of a month, plus 90 day warranty, which will get us through the winter ant season.
