If you go with them you are taking your chances. Maybe great service, maybe crap. I worked with SPP successfully last year when a rat was trapped in the house during a renovation. Josh was responsive, a plan was made, and they came back several times until we were all confident of success. I found them very easy to work with and was happy to call them again when mice started appearing. I had a very different experience this time. I requested to have Josh to come out, as he knows the house and was successful. I was made to feel like I was being difficult and like that was very complicated and difficult ask. Specifically, I asked if Josh could be sent to my house I got a call saying that was "confusing". So I caved and said to send whoever. Well, that person came to the house and very nicely told me that he didn't see any points of entry and no evidence of mice. By the time he had come, after all these weeks of back and forth about the schedule, I had personally caught 23 mice, so I was sure it wasn't possible that there was no evidence anywhere. He left and I promptly received an invoice for the visit. The next morning I went under the house and within 60 seconds, found a giant tunnel that had been dug. This inspired me to crawl the entire perimeter, during which I found many points of entry, holes, and places were chain wire had been pulled back. There was lots of back and forth before, during, and after, with Amanda. For her or course this is just clicks on the computer to schedule, reschedule, send invoices, whatever. She is not the one waking up at 3:00 a.m. to the sounds of mice in traps, so her level of interest is commiserate with that. Mice aren't easy to find. Guy was just having an off day. We can just schedule someone else. She's be happy to click me into the schedule with whatever rando to crawl around my house indefinitely Nbd. Have a nice day! After the 17 photos of entry points and 4 photos of trapped mice, I did get a call from Josh. Not an apology for my time, not an acknowledgment that there was clearly a problem, not a promise to fix it, or an ask to try and sort it out, not a wish that he had just come out as I had asked, just a casual offer to swing by and check it out. I was extremely disappointed. After weeks of back and forth the saga of scheduling with the culminated egregiously anticlimactically. Well I'd like to give them more stars than I am, since they're a small business. But they did not live to the expectation they build you up for. The inspector came twice and twice was un prepared. We have field mice and rats in the crawl space. ( space underneath the house by the foundation) I had informed them that there is a lot of rodents feces and hazardous to breath to so bring PPE to protect himself. NOPE! He (the inspector) came un prepared. I did not see that he even had measuring tape. He just stuck his head in the Crawl space access and looked around WITHOUT going inside to take ACCURATE measurements. They said the inspection is free. We told them that we thought the inspector did a halfass job. So they already to send him again. And again he did the same. I told me that this 2nd visit will be free because we were not satisfied with the 1st inspection. Buuuut low and behold we got a bill for their 2nd halfass inspection. I was really rooting for them. But they just didn't do the job correctly. I am disappointed. The inspector was pretty cool and nice but just didn't do what he should have done. read more

I had a bit of an emergency. We were installing new flooring. When the old stuff was removed we found some damaged wood. it looked like tunneling by insects, yet the floor company was not concerned. Patience. Smart Pest Pros has a lot of it. I have a condo that I rent out and Ive been having rodent issues since the end of August. My HOA hasn't assisted me with this since even though the issue started around the same time that they ended a contract with our previous pest company during the middle of summer. Despite my HOAs company reluctance to help, Smart Pest Pros has helped me out with my problem even after I ended my 30 day service the beginning of October. Because the holes under the unit are linked to the wall of my neighbors unit next to me, we've had trouble completely resolving the issue. Part of it comes from the fact that despite multiple attempts to talk to my neighbor, we haven't been able to inquire if they've had any issues underneath their unit. I haven't had a service from Smart Pest Pros yet but I called to inquire and ask for an advice about ticks. I witnessed 2 ticks inside the house and freaked out about infestation. I was advised it was probably from the dog that I take for a walk around the house. No need to panic yet but if I continue to see more ticks inside, call them for the service. They were able to provide next day service, gave me the technician's name (Matt) and provide excellent updates on Matt's schedule on the day of my appointment. I found Matt to be courteous and polite. He was knowledgeable regarding the treatment he was using for cockroaches and was cognizant about our dog, giving us appropriate options and advice on possible hazards (pet-wise). It's been a week since the treatment and we have not experienced any further cockroach sightings so far, so the treatment appears to be effective. I called Smart Pest Pros after my current pest control company in Vacaville could not get rid of the rats in our walls and attic. For 6 weeks we listening to rats running inside our walls and ceilings every night until my previous pest control company finally recommended, we call an exclusion company. Josh came out within a couple of days of reaching out to Smart Pest Pros, performed an initial inspection, and then had his guys come out to repair openings in the roof that same day. They sealed all of the openings near the vents in our tile roof, and within 5 days, the rats were gone!
