I was with Pro Active Pest Control for four years and there never was an issue until there was one, they had technician James come to our home, for a re-spray and to leave a rat trap! He parked in the no parking zone in our court very arrogantly, acted like he was doing us a favor by coming and re-spraying when they advertise that that is a benefit to their service. I told James, we were being bitten by mosquitoes, even though we had just had a spray the month prior and he said well there's nothing he can do because mosquitoes fly away (all bugs fly away, but you still spray. ( duh) he acted like he didn't really wanna spray, he proceeded to go in my backyard. I had previously told him just to spray like they normally spray every month when he went in my backyard. He did not ask me if I wanted my patio area sprayed or my furniture sprayed but he unprofessionally took it upon himself to spray my patio furniture that had cushions on it and my rug. They smelled like chemicals for several days and I had to end up throwing them away. I was so pissed because this is something I should've been asked about and given a heads up to remove my cushions and carpet. When I tried to complain, I fell through the cracks. Nobody called me back. Nobody followed through. Nobody offered to compensate me or reimburse me for my rug and cushions I had to throw out. They just ignored me, after several attempts of sending emails through the portal that they never answer and trying to call the office, I decided if they're too busy to contact their loyal customers and they are just too busy and I do not need to do business and pay money that are so rude and unprofessional. I finally canceled service today because I had had enough of it.. IM DONE! So beware & cautious. read more

I was on the hunt for a pest control service again. I got multiple quotes. I went with Pro Active because their initial spray was $350. They said I could get it for half off. Then when they saw it was a Yelp request they did my initial spray for $50 bucks. It's a huge savings. They also charge $60 for bi monthly service which was on par with everyone else. I submitted a Yelp quote for how much a pest control service would cost and literally 30 seconds after I hit submit I received a phone call and greeted with a friendly customer service individual. She let me know she received my initial request and wanted to know a little bit more. I told her that I had some ants in the master bathroom and she provided me information on their services. After a brief description of their services and a quote, I knew that I needed someone out as soon as possible. she was able to provide me with a same-day service. It was quick and easy process all set up within 10 to 15 minutes over the phone. I really appreciated her friendly demeanor and helpfulness regarding my Ant issue. I'm saving for a wedding and so the prices that she offered me fit in my budget and she was super helpful! Overall 10/10 for Customer Service. Will edit review if possible after the technician comes out. Follow up after technician: Scott called 1.5 hours after I scheduled my apt and let me know he would be at my house in 30 mins. He was on time and came in to check out my ant infestation. He provided me some knowledge on the traps I had out and let me know that the ants typically die in the trap instead of taking the poison back to the nest. He treated the area and proceeded to do the outside of the house. He also reminded me that if i needed any treatments outside of the 90 day check up that I could call and they would come out. Early heatwave this weekend brought out a bunch of ants that greeted me in the kitchen this morning. Proactive pest control was able to get someone out here in the same day. This is an updated review since my excellent initial procedure happened last week: I received a follow up call a few days later and informed them that my technician saw a wasp nest he was unable to get rid of. Within a couple of days, I had a scheduled complimentary appointment to have a technician come and get this wasp nest down. Lamar called me an hour in advanced and came by to remedy this issue. He was polite and very knowledgeable with wasps and bees. I really appreciated his professionalism and the additional sweeping of webs we noticed as well. The job was completed swiftly. Misleading and disappointing experience. I signed up with Pro Active Pest Control after clearly stating in writing that I had a rodent (rat) issue in my HVAC/roof area. I was told by a representative named Dru that "rodents are included in the service", so I moved forward under the impression that trapping, removal, and rat-proofing were part of the subscription. After the first visit, I learned that key services like sealing entry points and actual rat proofing were not included -- which was the entire reason I agreed to the plan. When I tried to cancel, I was told I'd be charged $339 unless I stayed locked into the contract, despite the clear miscommunication. I even shared screenshots of our original conversation showing I had made my needs clear from the start. Their "solutions" did not address the fact that I was misled into signing up. I asked multiple times to speak to someone higher up and never received a resolution. I do not recommend this company if you are dealing with anything specific like rodents or expect upfront honesty about what's included. I'm now dealing with charges for a service that did not meet the needs I explained from the beginning. read more

Very disappointed with Pro Active after being a customer for a few years. Biggest problem is if you want to quit service - you get the ol' "gym membership" offers to try and keep U paying month after month...and U almost have to fight with them ..They promised a lot for the $65 monthly house rate, but never delivered on things like removing wasp nests; said they'd get those down, then later said "that we'd have to scrape them off" + multiple times had to point out spider webs here &there they missed- or kept coming back -even after spraying?. They come out and do a quick brush for webs, but not the wasp nests :( as originally promised, and quick spraying and "bug out" of here so fast. Nice on the phone during our contract period but as soon as u want to cancel it's a different story. The initial visit was so great that I had to already leave a review. I sent an inquiry from the website and was contacted soon after. I spoke with Jeff on the phone and he tried to get someone to start that day but we were busy and so there was no problem to get someone out the next day. Titus was our tech and he was punctual, professional and personable. After introducing himself he gave us a pamphlet that goes over what he told us, a set of his business cards and the checklist for what was done on today's visit. He not only treated and put traps but he also advised and educated us what needs to be done in order for their treatment to work. Every step of the way he let us know what was done and he emphasized for us to reach out if we have any questions or concerns at all. Also have to include that I appreciate how easy the portal is to navigate. The portal shows the billing clearly and I appreciate that the name and picture of the tech is on there. The portal also includes what was done at the appointment it included notes and pictures. Such a great first visit and will update after a few more appointments.
