I submitted a Yelp quote for how much a pest control service would cost and literally 30 seconds after I hit submit I received a phone call and greeted with a friendly customer service individual. She let me know she received my initial request and wanted to know a little bit more. I told her that I had some ants in the master bathroom and she provided me information on their services. After a brief description of their services and a quote, I knew that I needed someone out as soon as possible. she was able to provide me with a same-day service. It was quick and easy process all set up within 10 to 15 minutes over the phone. I really appreciated her friendly demeanor and helpfulness regarding my Ant issue. I'm saving for a wedding and so the prices that she offered me fit in my budget and she was super helpful! Overall 10/10 for Customer Service. Will edit review if possible after the technician comes out. Follow up after technician: Scott called 1.5 hours after I scheduled my apt and let me know he would be at my house in 30 mins. He was on time and came in to check out my ant infestation. He provided me some knowledge on the traps I had out and let me know that the ants typically die in the trap instead of taking the poison back to the nest. He treated the area and proceeded to do the outside of the house. He also reminded me that if i needed any treatments outside of the 90 day check up that I could call and they would come out. Early heatwave this weekend brought out a bunch of ants that greeted me in the kitchen this morning. Proactive pest control was able to get someone out here in the same day. Misleading and disappointing experience. I signed up with Pro Active Pest Control after clearly stating in writing that I had a rodent (rat) issue in my HVAC/roof area. I was told by a representative named Dru that "rodents are included in the service", so I moved forward under the impression that trapping, removal, and rat-proofing were part of the subscription. After the first visit, I learned that key services like sealing entry points and actual rat proofing were not included -- which was the entire reason I agreed to the plan. When I tried to cancel, I was told I'd be charged $339 unless I stayed locked into the contract, despite the clear miscommunication. I even shared screenshots of our original conversation showing I had made my needs clear from the start. Their "solutions" did not address the fact that I was misled into signing up. I asked multiple times to speak to someone higher up and never received a resolution. I do not recommend this company if you are dealing with anything specific like rodents or expect upfront honesty about what's included. I'm now dealing with charges for a service that did not meet the needs I explained from the beginning. read more

I reached out for a termite inspection after finding mud tubes in my basement ...so I already had a pretty good idea of what I was dealing with. I sent a general inquiry on Yelp and they was one of the first to respond, and scheduling was quick and easy. The technician who came out was honest, friendly, knowledgeable, and walked me through all of my treatment options clearly. Ultimately, I didn't move forward with them, we went back and forth about the inspection report and it never made it to my inbox (possibly a wrong email issue). This is the second time I've experienced unauthorized billing from this company. My contract ended last year, and I did not renew after July 24. Despite that, I was previously charged anyway, which led me to leave a Yelp review. After that review, a manager contacted me directly and confirmed my service was canceled. Now, months later, I received another bill for $55 claiming the service continued month-to-month and that a service was performed -- without my request, consent. I did not schedule, approve, or agree to any service. Being charged for services you did not authorize -- especially after a prior cancellation was confirmed -- is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. I am once again having to dispute a charge that should never have occurred. I strongly recommend that anyone using this company get written confirmation if you cancel and monitor your billing closely. read more

The initial visit was so great that I had to already leave a review. I sent an inquiry from the website and was contacted soon after. I spoke with Jeff on the phone and he tried to get someone to start that day but we were busy and so there was no problem to get someone out the next day. Titus was our tech and he was punctual, professional and personable. After introducing himself he gave us a pamphlet that goes over what he told us, a set of his business cards and the checklist for what was done on today's visit. He not only treated and put traps but he also advised and educated us what needs to be done in order for their treatment to work. Every step of the way he let us know what was done and he emphasized for us to reach out if we have any questions or concerns at all. Also have to include that I appreciate how easy the portal is to navigate. The portal shows the billing clearly and I appreciate that the name and picture of the tech is on there. The portal also includes what was done at the appointment it included notes and pictures. Such a great first visit and will update after a few more appointments. Have had proactive pest control service our home for a few years now for preventative service and all of the sudden our house is invaded with ants on all 3 floors of our house! We are EXTREMELY clean people. Like OCD clean!!! I called today 07/26/25 to see if we could get service ASAP. Earliest is Monday. Which is understandable since it's the weekend on Saturday. However, as I was trying to explain my frustration to the girl., I stated how frustrating this is and we have been dealing with this for over a week now and I don't understand why this can happen so easily since we have a regular service for several years now and all she said was.... OK VERY RUDE!!! I don't need service from a company that doesn't appreciate my business. I was caught off guard and said OK and then she just said goodbye and hung up! No confirmation of a time, no sympathy! Very disappointed! Mind you, this is the same company that provided service while we were gone one day and left our garage door open after they left and the homeless person stole a bike out of our garage which we caught on camera. We eventually got the bike back but the homeless person pulled a knife on us and it was not the best situation to be put in. They should've never pulled away from our house, leaving the garage door open without confirming it was closed first. I was really happy about their competitive pricing and the value they offered compared to other pest companies. I was quickly scheduled and the techs came on time around the window I was given. The only cons were I had to follow up about the initial inspection and getting a bid and when the techs would arrive. However, I understand it's that season where many pest companies are busy. Only recommendation I would make is to improve the communication a bit so your customers don't feel like they're in the dark.
