I called Sierra due to a mouse problem in my attic that I had been unsuccessfully trying to handle on my own for several years. I experienced the same thing many other reviewers have mentioned regarding Erik's incredible customer service and knowledge of rodents. He quickly identified several entry points the mice were likely using that I never would have considered myself. During the work, he was even able to show me staining and other evidence confirming they were actively using those routes to get into the attic. I was also very happy to learn that Erik is a licensed roofing contractor in addition to performing rodent exclusion work, as I needed my roof valleys cleaned as well. After removing the tiles, he showed me how much debris had built up underneath in areas that weren't visible from the outside and explained that I was likely only about a year away from developing a major leak. Overall, I found his pricing to be very fair, and he was genuinely one of the friendliest people I've worked with. I'll absolutely be calling him again in a few years for another checkup. read more

Erik came out to inspect our home for raccoons. He was very nice and knowledgeable about what was happening with the raccoons. Thankfully they were not inside our attic just outside in the roof. I appreciated his professionalism and expertise! Definitely recommend his services! read more

Erik and his team did a great job with bat proofing my house. There's not a lot of companies that provide this service. He was very knowledgeable. He was responsive and kept me in the loop. I strongly recommend using them. read more

Those pesky rats. A bit over a year after Erik and Lyle rat-proofed our roof, we again began hearing the little pests in our attic. But how did they get in? I called Erik and he was able to stop by the next morning to have a look. After about 30 minutes of walking the exterior, he could not see any clear signs of how they got in. He scheduled us for about a week later, for a thorough examination. He and two crew members (Lyle, Jake) spent well over an hour, each independently examining all sides of our house for signs of entry. He also got on the roof and examined it, and all the work they did last year. Nothing. The roof looked fine, there were no signs of trails going up the walls. They were stumped, but had a few more places to check. One of the three finally discovered the new entry points, which were unique to our home. (The rats managed to burrow under some columns we have that hold up a back patio cover. The builder built most of the posts on concrete, but left several inches overhang over soil. And that's all the rats needed.) Erik wrote up a quote to seal the columns. It wasn't cheap, but fair. They did the work about two weeks later. They also set some traps up in our attic, in case some rats got sealed in, but it's been several weeks now and so far, no signs. As much as I appreciate the work that Erik and his team do, I'm hopeful (and hoping) this will be the last we'll need them! read more

We recently heard rodent noises in an upstairs wall--likely rats or squirrels--and knew we had to act fast. After reading glowing reviews, we called Erik at Sierra Wildlife Control. He responded immediately and came out promptly with his assistant, Jake. They climbed onto the roof and quickly identified several vulnerable entry points. Erik's deep knowledge of rodent behavior (rats vs. squirrels vs. mice) was impressive, and he clearly explained the steps needed to seal the gaps, including redoing a poorly executed repair from a previous contractor. I received a detailed quote the next day, accepted it, and Erik returned shortly after to do the work. He spent several hours sealing up entry points, fixing the eave issue, and documenting everything with photos. He also set traps in the attic to catch anything still inside, planning a follow-up visit the next week. When he returned, I mentioned we'd heard some scratching downstairs. Erik carefully inspected the foundation and discovered two more access points, which we scheduled him to repair with mortar and some framing to reinforce the under-home screen. Erik is absolutely meticulous, not just in craftsmanship but also in aesthetics. He's fanatical about quality and deeply committed to doing things the right way. He's also incredibly courteous--he even refused to enter the house once because he didn't have his clean boot covers. My wife summed it up perfectly: "He's a joy to work with." Jake, his assistant, is a recent Jesuit High grad--bright, capable, and very respectful. Together, they're a fantastic team. If you're dealing with rodents or nuisance wildlife in your home or yard, I can't recommend Sierra Wildlife Control enough. These guys are the real deal, and I'm confident you'll feel the same. I have had rats in my attic off and on for years. I finally realized that trapping was just a temporary fix and I needed a permanent solution. I called Sierra Wildlife Control and I had an estimate same day and scheduled the work with in a couple of weeks. The team came out and sealed all areas where the rodents were accessing my attic. The work was done quickly and professionally. The attic has been completely quiet ever since, and I could not be happier! Thanks Sierra Wildlife Control!!! read more

Erik came to or appointment on time and was very professional. Gave me several options and willing to work with me. Great owner.

I am so thrilled with the service provided by this company! I had another pest company come out and tell me that I was wrong and I didn't have squirrels living in my walls. I wasn't wrong. Erik came out within 24 hours of my calling, believed me, came up with a plan, had my estimate to me the same day and installed that same week. Within a week, the squirrels were out of my walls, and I could not be happier with their service. read more

I have rats under my house. Eric came out for 45 minutes, found two holes and said someone would come out and patch them over with concrete. I asked about the rats already in there and he said, "We'll put in traps". Lyle came by a week later, spent half an hour plugging the holes. I paid $650.00 The next day I heard rats, but decided they must not have a way out, and would (unfortunately) die of starvation. For two weeks I heard noise and called Eric on 2/4/25 and explained the situation. He said "Did you put traps under the house?" I said "I am a 77 year old woman... that's why I called you." I told him he left me the impression that Lyle would do that. He said they will come back out for another $350 and lay out traps. I told him $1,000 for about two hours work? He said sending two guys out is "expensive" and I said only one guy came out. Anyway, I still have rats and will not use them again. read more

They located the issue, explained alternatives and provided suggestions. We decided on a remedy and the issue was mitigated. Problem solved!

Erik was very responsive and was able to quickly give me a free estimate on a bat exclusion in my 2nd floor rafters. He had the best quote and did the work very quickly and was always professional and knowledgeable. I appreciate his use of technology in providing online invoice/quote and receipt. My wife was going absolutely "batty" with a few times they had found a way into the house, and now the whole family is relieved that we are now bat free! read more

After all the great reviews on Yelp we decided to call Sierra Wildlife to help us figure out what to do with some skunks that made a den under the subfloor of our shed. We tried everything on our own (motion detected water sprayer, moth balls, security cameras to track their comings and goings) and gave up after a month as nothing was working. We are SO glad we found Erik, he is a lifesaver! We didn't want to harm the skunks so Erik installed a permanent, concreted mesh solution around the border of the shed after ensuring the skunks vacated through the one way door he setup for several days. Now no rodents or animals can make a home under our shed and the skunks have gone on their merry way to find a new home. We HIGHLY recommend contacting Sierra Wildlife for all your wild animal problems. I've posted the before and after photos of his quality work. Worth every penny. read more

Outstanding Service and Expertise. We had a very unique issue with a couple (literally a pair) of squirrels who had made a home on our patio cover. Erik was not only knowledgeable about our issue, but he was continually optimistic about finding a resolution to help us. He was sensitive to the potential dislocation of the squirrels, while also understanding our needs as a homeowner. Erik's background in construction along with his passion for finding solutions for wildlife is a unique combination. And then you add on his incredible customer service - and it is a WIN-WIN-WIN. We could not be more thankful for Erik! Sierra Wildlife Control is the only call you should make. read more

Came did a quick inspection of my crawlspace and identified potential areas of entry for rodents in my crawlspace. A skunk sprayed under our house on a Friday night and it was absolutely terrible. Erik, from Sierra Wildlife Control, was able to come out to our house on Monday and assessed the situation quickly. He installed a one way door to allow the skunk to exit the space under our house but to not get back in. Then, several days later, when we were sure the skunk had left, he was able to install a new metal door to permanently keep the skunk and all other rodents out. Erik was a true professional. He wore a mask, was polite, answered all of our questions, even allowed my young son to pepper him with endless questions of his own and never tried to sell us anything we didn't need. My wife and I are truly thankful for his service and wouldn't think twice to give Erik and Sierra Wildlife Control a call should we ever have another issue with an rodent or animal. read more

I had a problem with rodents in my attic and getting into the attic. We could hear them mainly at night. I've had a pest control company that routinely comes but they just weren't addressing this issue well. So I contacted Sierra Wildlife Control, spoke to Eric and we scheduled an appointment. He was on time. Evaluated the situation and developed a plan. He sealed up area(from the roof and inside the attic) and came back weekly until we didn't hear anything further. I have not heard any activity and erotic sense. He guarantees his work for a year. I was quite impressed and grateful! Lisa C. read more

I had some roof rats in my attic and Erik responded promptly to my call, helping seal off the holes in the roof with a galvanized screen and epoxy foam. Erik contacted me immediately (on a weekend) when I started my inquiry through Yelp for rats. He came out to the house and gave me a list of potential holes to close up, explaining how likely each was as an access point for the rats, and what the cost of each closure would be. We opted to close several areas on the roof and in some of the corners at roof lines. The closures seemed to close out the rodents, but it seemed like we didn't get all of the rats eliminated. For no additional charges, Erik continued to come to the house to scope out possible sites, and we found an entry point near the air conditioner using motion cameras, and he closed this up. At this point, we still seemed to have a very small population making its way in and out. Erik found one last closure and this finally worked. It took us several weeks to complete, but our house is a complex construction, and Erik stuck it out until the end with us. We are very thankful. He is very knowledgeable, very responsive, and trustworthy. We highly recommend considering his services. read more

Erik was very responsive when contacting him. He came out as scheduled and did a thorough assessment of my property (even gave me a lesson on my trees). We were told by our neighbors that a family of skunks were hanging out around our side yard. Coming out, going for dinner, doing a little light jogging and then tucking away under our fence! We called Erik at Sierra Wildlife Control after making a few unsuccessful inquiries with other companies. He was quick to help us. He started by blocking the access beneath our shed and all but one moved elsewhere. Then this last pesky, annoying little stinker decided to make a nightly meal of our front lawn while residing elsewhere. Erik came back and went over other options. After a couple of weeks of us trying a few things on our own we decided to follow Erik's advice. He came back again and trapped the remaining skunk. Through all of the process Erik was available to answer questions and offer many options. He and his company are aces in our book. He is very kind and knowledgeable and very professional. When wildlife gives lemons, call Erik. read more

We have had a happy little family of rats squeaking around in our attic for a while. Contacted Erik and he responded immediately. I really like their policy of getting it done right the first time - I agree that pest control monthly services incentivize companies not actually taking care of the problem. Erik came out right away, gave a free inspection, and even noted which services were essential and which were just recommended. We chose to only do the essential ones and I took care of the other work myself (I'm at least marginally handy). Erik even offered advice on how to do the work myself, whether or not we hired him. Great guy, great service! read more

Erik is friendly, responsive, able to explain the cause & solution clearly and fixed the problem areas (and pest issue) with my home.

Erik from Sierra Wildlife Control was amazing. I had a really bad rat and mouse infestation and Erik determined how they were getting in, sealed off all of the openings, and came out to my home several times to make sure they were all gone. I'd gotten several estimates, his being the lowest. Erik was very professional and always available to answer questions. Super good guy and great company! Amy B read more

We had a rat/rats in our attic and it was waking us up in the early morning hours hearing the moving around and digging in our insulation. We tried closing obvious points of entry and poisoning. The problem persisted. We called Sierra Wildlife and they found points of entry we would have never discovered. They closed up our house and did a recheck a couple of weeks later because we still heard movement. They looked for more entry points and got the problem solved. We haven't seen or heard anything since the last work and we are so thankful. It was time-consuming work since we have a home in a neighborhood that's conducive to rodents. read more

Eric came out within a few days of calling him for my gopher problem. He also discovered that I had voles. He worked his magic and we are now rodent free for a few months. I will not hesitate to call him again, he was professional, timely, and took care of the issue the first time. read more

Very trustworthy and informative. Lyle talked me through some things and led me in the right direction.

We had critters digging on our roof and we were having difficulty identifying what was responsible for the activity. I called Erik and he made a trip out to diagnose our problem and hopefully mitigate the issue. He inspected the area, immediately diagnosed the issue as squirrels trying to get inside the attic. He walked the perimeter of the house and made recommendations for keeping them off the roof. We will certainly use him if we have issues with wildlife in the future. read more

I had a mouse problem in my basement and attic. Erik provided several exclusion solutions after a very thorough inspection and assessment of my home. This was after trying a couple of other "standard" pest control companies. Erik was much more rigorous in finding access points. He completed the exclusion work and returned a couple of times as follow up. I have rarely found such a pleasant and professional person to work with. I highly recommend Erik and Sierra Wildlife Control! read more
