This is what companies should strive to be and suggest hiring this company as they are worth every penny. If you have the chance to get them to come out to do the job, stop researching all the other options out there because trust me, they will do the job as good as anyone can do it, but also bring professionalism, integrity, compassion and a real human understanding. I was losing sleep every night because there was rummaging and scraping taking place on the roof above my bed. I suspected it was either birds or squirrels and had tried checking everything myself but couldn't find anything. I called around to some places to describe the issue I was having and at least one person referred me to Thomas Wildlife Control. I called up and managed to luck out by securing an appointment the following day. Brandon showed up on time ready to go to work and was very personable. He walked me through the process he would take and was very transparent with me including setting expectations so there wasn't any guess work involved. Cutting to the chase, he not only managed to find what was going on and causing it, but took the time to show me and explained how important it was to catch the culprit then because of all the other damage that could be done if it wasn't caught. Then he managed to provide a very reasonable solution to take care of the problem and did excellent, clean work. Brandon was like the more professional Doctor Doolittle / animal whisperer and made the whole experience feel easy and a great value. Now I'm sleeping peacefully and feel reassured that the problem was resolved. It's rare to feel like you really get what you paid for these days and I not only feel this way, but like I got the gold standard of work done. You won't regret hiring this company if you're lucky enough to get them on the books. Honest, reasonable, personable, reassuring, hard working and easy going... what more could you want? Thanks so much again guys. read more

11/5/2025- I like being able to write a review on a business that can give me a little piece of mind. My oldest did all the research and communications with several wildlife control companies-, however, this company was the one for us. I appreciate the detailed estimate and the photos to show exactly the identified problems and how and what was to be remedied. Exclusion is expensive but it is only a one time cost that really needed to be done. My son kept me in the loop from the first appt. to the written estimate. I like when a business has excellent communication skills, and displays their extensive experience.! I believe this Friday the process will be starting...!! read more

I had a great idea to trap a skunk that had been digging up my garden. Didn't really think what I would do if I caught it, which I did. I called the county and they said I had to release it. No idea how to get the cage open without get sprayed. I called Thomas and they could do it but because of the risk and the distance it was going to be more than I could afford. Despite me going it on my own Dan volunteered some great advice on how to go about it. He also call later that afternoon to check in and see how it went. All I can say is great customer service. I I need help in the future I will definitely hire these guys. read more

Brandon & Co. (Thomas Wildlife & Roofing) did work for us in 2023 due to rats in our attic in Folsom. When I had a new issue recently in 2025, I reached out to him immediately. Brandon and his team are confident, experienced, diligent, patient and detail-oriented folks, who take their job seriously and back their quality work with a 2-yr warranty. Above all, Brandon is a family man and a special character - a compassionate gentleman, who understands that ultimately his customers are human beings. Brandon & his team re-inspected my roof for entry points, made repairs, set traps, and even pointed out cracks/gaps my chimney-flap and AC line and sealed them - all without any extra charge. I easily and highly recommend Thomas Wildlife to anyone in need of animal control, removal, and roof-repairs to counter it. read more

Not gonna lie it isn't cheap but they get the job done. Had mice up in the attic and worse than we thought. They cleaned it all out, disinfected and replaced all of the insulation. Very thorough in identifying cracks and holes they were getting in from and now my home isn't the party house!! Would recommend! read more

we needed several openings along our roofline blocked/closed that were giving squirrels access to the attic. the crew was great! They were here on time and got the work done on schedule. Afterwards they walked me through all the work that was done. It was a high quality job and importantly looked good and blended in with the roof. I highly recommend Thomas Wildlife to anyone who needs to keep critters out of their attic or any other area! read more

We were having issues with pigeons roosting on our roof and under our solar panels and were referred to Thomas Wildlife by two other contractors who had helped us before; gutter cleaning company as well as our pest control (NEAR You). Contacting was most difficult as emails were not replied to so that would be my only gripe. However they were extremely responsive to phone calls and we were able to schedule a consultation. We were given detailed explanation that Thomas Wildlife were in fact a roofing company that dealt with the niche market of pests which was more reassuring that they were expected to be very adept working on top of roofs and would be able to provide any solution to any unforeseen problems that may have arisen during the procedure. Ultimately we were able to expeditiously schedule a time for cleaning bird debris from the roof with power washing of the roof and solar panels, application of an enzyme deterrent, and installation of netting around the solar panel array. The crew was prompt, professional, and efficient. It was a bit more costly than what we had anticipated but we feel that it was worth the investment. Many thanks to Dan, Justin, and the crew that did the work in the sweltering heat! read more

No one wants to deal with rats on their property, but more importantly no one wants to deal with rats IN their house. That's what these guys are best at, making sure the rats stay out of your living space. Dan is very responsive in the office and Brandon provides great service in the field. Some folks may hesitate to pay the inspection fee, but you get what you pay for. These guys aren't just walking around the property looking for obvious entry points. They are taking the time to inspect the attic and the roof to make sure you're not vulnerable. Highly recommend Thomas Wildlife. read more

5 stars for an excellent job done by Brandon and Thomas Wildlife control. Pigeons had gotten into the soffits at 2 places in the front and back of our roof and left an unbelievable amount of poop in there. Brandon was very professional and took care of the problem by first sealing off the areas with galvanized steel screen and later coming back and removing all the poop and disinfecting. This is a "dirty job" I could not have done on my own. His price may seem high but is rightly justified due to the high level of skill needed to accomplish the job and at great safety risk. Brandon made sure I was completely satisfied with the job and showed me pictures. He's a hardworking and honest man. I would be happy to be a strong reference. read more

Once again Thomas Wildlife didn't let us down. My friend had a bunch of pigeons under her solar panels so I told her to call them. Within a couple days she's said they arrived and she approved for the work to be done and Mor she's happy. Two weeks later and no more noisy pigeons. Thanks for helping out my friend. P.S. my rats are still gone! Thanks again! read more

After paying $10K to "rat proof" the property, I asked if it would be better just to replace the roof, and was told it didn't need replacing. Long story short--it definitely needed replacing, and now the $10K I paid was all for nothing. Also, their crew--many of whom were newbies--did a lot of damage to my house, and I am still paying for repairs. Lastly, if they plan to subcontract work to other companies, get a company you trust to do the work. I can't tell you the nightmare we experienced from the company they subcontracted to. We are still dealing with this nightmare long after the "work" was done. Big regret hiring this company. read more

If I could provide more than 5 stars I would, Thomas Wildlife Control is the only place to call for your Wildlife Intrusion or Control needs, including any repairs that may be needed to your roof. I called them out, was met by the owner Brandon who was extremely professional & thorough in explaining what the game plan would be to take care of my Squirrel intrusion. His team is simply fantastic, professional, knowledgeable and the work quality is second to none. I assure you that you will not be disappointed with their services! Thank you to Brandon and his awesome team for the level of service you provided in resolving my situation! Recommend 100% !!! Jim read more

Service workers 5/5 Admin/ownership 2/5 I suppose it's my own fault for not being more diligent when the early signs appeared.... Which is why I'm giving an overall 4/5 instead of lower review. We had bats cute at Halloween but not so cute when they are flying at your head or getting their wings stuck in the cracks of bricks. Thomas wildlife works humanely and quickly! I found myself in a time crunch and Thomas Wildlife came to my rescue! As a real estate agent we see some crazy stuff. As my escrow was days away from closing, the buyer and I were walking the property only to to completely distracted by a family of squirrels squawking and chattering at us, very disturbed by our presence. They were swinging from the trees and racing around the roof like monkeys... and then, suddenly... they disappeared INTO THE R O O F!!!!!!! Omg! Panic set in. I found Thomas Wildlife on Yelp. They had fabulous reviews and came out right away, had a solution to the squirrel problem, with complete professionalism and confidence. My clients were very pleased and I will definitely use them again! read more

About a week ago, I called a competitor using an online search, and told them my issue: I was hearing scratching through my wall and ceiling in my bedroom and needed someone to please help me figure out what it was and how to get it out. Long story short, this competitor made a lot of assumptions, didn't really listen, put out some traps and left. Came back twice, found nothing, still didn't listen and left. After another (the 7th) sleepless night thinking rats were running through my walls, I was fed up. The competitor said to give it more time, and I said ok, ignored the advice and THANKFULLY found Thomas Wildlife Control. I reached Brandon and he and Erik were able to come out and help us. Right away I knew these guys were experts. They were respectful, clean and kind, but most importantly, they knew what they were doing. They listened to my story and picked up on clues. Within 20 (if that?) minutes of them being there, they were able to rule out a rat infestation, no squirrel in the wall, and instead found... a nest of baby owls!! (What???) You guys. These were the cutest owls you have EVER seen. The guys obviously have a deep respect for animals, and helped me remove them from the attic (where they were damaging the AC line and duct) so that I could re-home them in a tree nest with the help of a recommended wildlife rescue/rehab center. We are sleeping easy for the first night in a week (the sleep deprivation was so real, you guys) and honestly cherishing such a strange and magical day, seeing beautiful baby owls and no longer stressing about a wrong assumption. I could not be more grateful and impressed. They were able to repair the duct, block the entrance where the owls were entering, and were just so easy to have here. They worked so hard in a hot attic, repaired the owl's handy work and saved our home from more damage. Not to mention, taught us SO much in the process. Sometimes family-owned just delivers a way better experience than a bigger name, and this was definitely one of those times. I will never call anyone else, and will recommend them to any- and everyone. Thank you guys so much!! read more

Zero stars if I could. I paid Thomas Wildlife Control to do rodent exclusion work in my attic. Within three months the rats were back in the attic. After arguing back and forth with me about how much it costs them to send someone back out, they finally came to do an inspection. It took me sending them photos of a decaying rat in the trap they left to "prove to me that the rats were not in my attic" for them reinspect my roof. Of course they found additional access points and gave me an estimate for nearly $3500 to do additional exclusion work after paying them over $1,500 for their initial work. I should include that my house is a single story and less than 1500 square feet. Steer clear of them if you like your money. read more

Brandon and his team are who you need if you are dealing with roof and rodent issues. We have had them work on multiple properties and they exceed expectations every time. These guys are fabulous. Had a skunk issue at my home, called someone else out for a quote, they quoted me WAY too much money. These guys performed the same work for a fraction of the price and didn't skimp on quality. Professional, respectful and hardworking. On a Wednesday evening when I came home from work I smelled something faintly putrid. The odor came from the 1/2 bath and my master bedroom closet (they share a wall). My plan was to have my regular pest control come out the next day to locate the carcass(es). By 3:30 a.m. the next morning, the odor was so bad, it woke me up. I had already closed up the 1/2 bath, so I emptied out my closet and closed that up. Pest control came and basically sprayed an odor neutralizer in every crevasse which seemed to make the odor worse. After researching online, I called Thomas Wildlife Control with fingers crossed because it was a Saturday and I was pretty sure I would demo the walls myself if I didn't reach them. Brandon, the owner, was able to fit me in and he and Karl came over, inspected the house, sniffed around and found where the rat was behind the drywall! I was amazed and after seeing the size of the rat, I feel truly appreciative Brandon was kind enough to squeeze me in. So many people just told me to tough out the smell for a couple of weeks. Brandon said that it would have been at least 6 weeks before the odor would dissipate! I am so glad I called and Brandon answered!! The house started to smell better soon after the carcass removal and all I smell now is that awful odor neutralizer! Brandon is very patient, upfront and honest as well as professional. He took the time to explain what they were doing and recommended preventive measures. Brandon and Karl also did a great job cleaning up debris and putting a temporary cover over the drywall opening. I wholeheartedly recommend Thomas Wildlife Control. read more

Rip Off- After paying $20,000 to have our house "rat proofed". the rats were still in our attic. WE called TWC and they reluctantly came back out and said the rats had chewed a "new " area - so that was another $1,000 and not covered by the so called "warranty". read more

I loved Thomas Wildlife Control because Brandon (the owner) and his staff took care of the squirrel problem @ our attic. We do not know squirrel(s) are above our attic until a hole was punched through our 2/F ceiling early last month. Then we know for sure that some "uninvited guests" were living up in our attic. We were referred by Salvador of Barrier Pest Solutions since these 2 companies work together before. Brandon sent his crew to our house within 2 days after he called us. It took him a total of 4 visits to finish up the repair and force the squirrel(s) out of our attic. Brandon put 2 traps at the attic during his 3rd visit. During his last visit, he confirmed that there are no more rodents in our attic. He then sealed the 1-way exit opening set up on the 2nd floor eaves of our house. It has been 3 weeks since Brandon sealed the 1-way exit opening. In the past 3 weeks, we saw a squirrel trying to enter our attic via the sealed entrance. Of course, it can't and we hear no more noise from the attic area since then. Brandon gives us a year of warranty for his repair. We definitely hope that we don't need to call him back. One thing which we need to mention about - the repair cost is a sticker shock for us but worth it since we are now in peace with no further damage done to our attic area. Several alarm wires at the attic are broken since last year and this is an early warning sign. Unfortunately, we keep ignoring this early warning sign until the ceiling is punched through. We wish others will not make the same mistake! If you have any rodent's problem, call Brandon and you will not be disappointed. read more

We were referred to Thomas Wildlife Control by our pest company after finding mice in our attic. I contacted Thomas Wildlife right away and they were able to get my inspection scheduled within a week. The inspector was very detailed, provided me a detailed report of the findings with photos, and a corrective action plan. I was able to get the work scheduled right away as well. The workers arrived promptly on repair day, ensured all my questions were answered, completed the repairs as described, and cleaned up any derbies that fell off the roof during the repair. After the closing of the holes, I have not had any more issues in the attic. My pest company checked bi-weekly for 6 weeks post close-up and no signs of mice. I highly recommend Thomas Wildlife Control to anyone who has an issue with pests. read more

Brandon Thomas & his team came out to my father's place to look at a rat problem in his attic. The rats had destroyed his previous HVAC system and were running rampant in the attic. Terminix gave my father a quote for excluding the rats and replacing the insulation for $10K. Their plan would not have fixed the issue and was extremely expensive. Brandon is a full service contractor. He proposed excluding the rats from the roof. He found softball sized holes the rats had chewed in various places on the roof. He also fixed a lot of roof tiles. He took the tiles off and put new roof paper and mortar under the tiles where the rat entrances were. The cost was less than Terminix but most importantly, this wasn't just a way to make the attic look clean, it was a way to truly exclude the rats and repair the roof. Brandon came back and checked the traps he placed in the attic two times. He caught the rats that remained in the attic and we believe the issue is solved. Brandon also fixed a major gutter/drainage issue in the front of the house. We are really grateful. If you have rats in the attic, don't mess around with a regular pest control company. Call Thomas Wildlife Control and truly solve the problem. Brandon is a "rat nerd" & he knows how to get rid of them! read more

We had a raccoon chew a hole in the roof over our master bedroom a few days before we were scheduled to leave the country for spring break. I called Thomas Wildlife Control and spoke to Brandon - he was out on a job in Granite Bay but came by our house immediately afterward. He is an absolute expert - gave us several options to remove the raccoon and babies - oh yeah, the babies, I forgot to mention the babies - and get everything sorted out so we could leave without worrying about a raccoon tunneling a hole into our bedroom while we were away. The options were all safe and humane. The price was super reasonable, the work was done quickly and we were relieved and impressed by the service offered by Brandon. We definitely recommend Thomas Wildlife Control and if we weren't having a new, hopefully Raccoon, Squirrel and Rat proof roof installed, we would have them on speed dial for the next time a raccoon decides to start her family in our attic. read more

We know when we call Thomas Wildlife Control, they'll be able to help us. In the past, Brandon Thomas rid us of tree rats living in the attic and one in the basement when the door wasn't closed tight. We've had him out when we were concerned about the screens on the small ventilation holes in the attic. He has eagle eyes and knows what to look for. Even though the screens were fine, he inspected every inch of the the attic, house and foundation. An expert in urban wildlife behavior, he always tells us what to watch for, pointing out what would become an issue. He warned us about tree rats gnawing on the roof and said we just had to get the branch away from it. He's a really honest guy who knows his stuff. We always have peace of mind with Brandon on our side. read more

Worked with Thomas Wildlife Control after moving into our home about three years back. After hearing critters scurrying around the attic and roof line, Brandon's crew came in and took care of sealing the roof line. No more issues since then! I called Brandon today in hopes of hiring him again to remove some mesh material that was attached under a portion of eaves on the second floor roof line. Birds had begun to nest the mesh and it was an eye sore! Brandon called me back in quick time and was able to get to our home the same day. Very friendly, explained what they would do, and got to work. Cleaned everything up when they were done and no more mesh and nesting mess. I would recommend these guys to anyone and while I don't want to deal with rodents or wildlife in the house, I would look forward to working with this company again. Locally owned and operated. 5 stars!! read more

We've been hearing noise in our attic for 2 months and Thomas Wildlife was recommended by our Pest Control Company. We left a message with Brandon on a Friday morning, he returned our call same day, and was at our home on Monday with his employee Darien to do an inspection on our roof and in the attic & quote for the work needed. Sure enough, we had vents and a couple of other areas exposed. Then we were blown away when Brandon said they would take care of all the work same day! Darien was awesome! We found Thomas Wildlife through yelp and have been extremely satisfied. We initially had a critter issue. Brandon ( one of the owners) came to check things out and give us an estimate. Not only did we have a critter problem in our attics ( he took photos, disgusting feces everywhere) we also had some pretty severe roof issues ( also photos). The recommendation was to seal access to attics, repair roof issues, remove existing insulation, sanitize and replace with new. We could chose to do do some or all of the work. We did it all. It was a process but well worth it for peace of mind to know we have clean attics now and a safe roof. All of their crews were great. Friendly, hard-working, professional. I want to acknowledge Dan ( also a owner) who deals with the office and financials, great sense of humor, responsive and just fun to talk with. We would highly recommend this company. read more

Despite the glowing reviews, I had a bad experience with Thomas Wildlife Control. I needed some major exclusion work done on my 150 year old house after rats got into my walls, crawl space, and AC/heat ducts several years ago. Brandon charged me $125 to do an inspection and estimate, which amount would be applied to the cost of the job. I was initially impressed and hired him. The day the work was scheduled, Brandon never showed up or called to explain why. I tried to find out what happened; he promised to get back to me to reschedule, but never did. I left numerous voicemails and messaged him through his website, finally requesting that he refund my $125, since Brandon effectively defaulted on the job. I never heard from him again. I like to hire local people whenever possible, so was especially disappointed that a Folsom business owner would act so unprofessionally. I ended up hiring Official Pest Prevention out of Elk Grove. If there was a zero star rating, I would have used it for this company. read more
