I called Erik and he was able to stop by the next morning to have a look. After about 30 minutes of walking the exterior, he could not see any clear signs of how they got in. He scheduled us for about a week later, for a thorough examination. He and two crew members (Lyle, Jake) spent well over an hour, each independently examining all sides of our house for signs of entry. He also got on the roof and examined it, and all the work they did last year. Nothing. The roof looked fine, there were no signs of trails going up the walls. They were stumped, but had a few more places to check. One of the three finally discovered the new entry points, which were unique to our home. (The rats managed to burrow under some columns we have that hold up a back patio cover. The builder built most of the posts on concrete, but left several inches overhang over soil. And that's all the rats needed.) Erik wrote up a quote to seal the columns. It wasn't cheap, but fair. They did the work about two weeks later. They also set some traps up in our attic, in case some rats got sealed in, but it's been several weeks now and so far, no signs. As much as I appreciate the work that Erik and his team do, I'm hopeful (and hoping) this will be the last we'll need them!

Getting pricing info and making an appointment was seamless with Yelp's messaging system. Kevin was so helpful in keeping me apprised of the process and the appointment time/date. On the day of, Zack showed up promptly and with a smile. I was so surprised when he told me my one-time treatment would actually allow follow-up visits within 30 days. He told me the first treatment would be spraying and then the second treatment would be getting rid of the webs. Wow, what a great deal! Both days Zack was punctual, friendly and professional. We even talked about the celebrities he looks like! (You'll have to meet him in person to guess which celebrity) On the second treatment day, he came armed with a cobweb brush and I actually felt kinda embarrassed because it was like he was doing housekeeping for the spiderwebs! We'd requested ahead of time to have the garage treated as well (because normally they only treat the outside unless we ask them to spray anywhere else, in which case they're more than happy to do so). My wife opened our garage up before heading out with our kids, and the tech could've easily finished the job and just moved on. But instead, he knocked on the door afterward to let us know he was done so we could shut the garage. He specifically said he didn't want us to leave it open longer than needed. Some might say that's just part of the job, but the truth is, small gestures like that aren't so common anymore. At least not in my experience. It showed genuine thoughtfulness and care--and that matters a lot to us. Great service, as always.
