Cute but pesky squirrels built a nest at the top of the tall column on my front porch using shredded cedar from my garden. Then they started gnawing through stucco and into the substructure. I tried various humane ways to get rid of them, from squirts from my hose to my impersonation of a wild predator, which amused my neighbor but wasn't effective. Finally I called Good Life. The technician they dispatched cleared out the nest and repaired the damaged stucco. He did an awesome job matching the existing stucco color. Then he applied a pest solution he called "hot foot" which apparently squirrels hate. It worked. The squirrels haven't been back. As an added bonus, the technician changed the second story light bulbs above my porch that required a super long ladder and some risky, heart stopping maneuvering near the top rung. He fearlessly accomplished the task for which I truly grateful. He installed LED lights with a 40-year lifespan so they should outlast me. Thank you, Good Life. Great work! read more

This is a mid-point update on the pest saga at 2 houses: Josh called me about my review. I do appreciate that he followed up. I had my Mother-In-Law call him and they arranged an appt to figure out the rat pheromone issue. Turns out, the HVAC company did something that cut off access to one side of the attic. So for an additional fee, they will put an access in and hopefully be able to clear out the smell - and rats, if there are any in there. That hasn't been done yet, so I will do another update after this. I saw some cockroaches outside so I called for service to have them spray, and Josh called to make sure that the tech I got would check for anymore rat/squirrel/critter openings. They sent out Gene who was honestly way more knowledgeable and willing to do work than the other folks sent out before. He went ahead and got his ladder out, went onto the roof, poked around, checked the work that my husband did to close off access points, and even found another hole that was missed! He did great work and even extra-sealed off a spot that was already sealed (there was a small gap and he put in some building foam to make sure nothing was going to get in). Igor stopped by and set out mouse traps, he also went around the garage with me and showed me how the mice were getting in. Turns out it was through the door sweep that the mice had chewed through. He installed a new door sweep and then went around the house to make sure there were no more areas that mice could have access to. Read the Yelp reviews and chose Good Life Pest Solutions for my termites and mice/rat problems in two homes. The termite problem was resolved immediately with appropriate installation of stakes surrounding the garage where the termite infestation was current, including drilling in the cemented areas surrounding the garage. The mice and rodent problems took nine long weeks as they caught numerous mice and rats but the bait kept being taken week after week after week as they tried different traps, even after they closed all of the small openings in my homes that possibly a mouse or a rat could come in or go out. . Finally they put a motion sensitive camera in the attic to discover how one mouse went over the sticky glue traps to get to the three baited traps. Then they used different traps and the mouse was finally caught! Who else wouldn't have given up and would have kept coming back weekly to check the status of the traps and patiently devise other methods to catch the elusive mouse until it was finally caught??? David, Igor, Riccardo, and Jordan would text or call to let me know when they were on their way. They would call if they were running late. They were very respectful of my time and my scheduling as well as the need to capture the mouse sooner than later. They never once complained that they were coming too frequently or implied that somehow this was my problem as Clark Pest had told me before. I certainly do not wish to have another incurring problem with mice or rats this winter but I would not hesitate to call them again or recommend them to any of my family and friends with termites and/or mice/rat problems. Unfortunately, they don't do the monthly maintenance service program. I would gladly have them return monthly to keep the mice, mosquitos, termites and bees away. The first time they came out was to take care of an inside ant issue. I was told they product was really good and if I saw ants again in a month, they would come back as a courtesy. Two days prior to the month, I started seeing ants again. The gentleman who came out then was Joeseph. He was very informative, listened, and thoroughly sprayed inside and outside. Unfortunately, less than week later ants came back. Joseph came back again and used a more potent product. We shall see if this product works. I came home from a short vacation and discovered tiny winged flies on the walls of my back bedroom. I soon discovered that they were coming through a hole they had made in the wall of the closet! I was terrified and panic-stricken!!! I had never seen anything like them before, so I sent a picture of them to my regular pest management company. "You have termites," they said, "and you need a special kind of pest management company to treat them." And after asking around, I found Good Life. Good Life was absolutely magnificent!!! As soon as humanly possible Serge came out to do a complete inspection. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient, Serge found where the insects were coming from and explained to me at length what needed to be done to solve the problem. I worked with Mary Hill in Good Life's office and she could not have been nicer or more helpful. We worked out the type of treatment, how it would work, when the management professional would come to do the work, and what I could expect during and after the treatment. Three days later Vitale arrived right on time and spent the next several hours dealing not only with the termites but also with areas of dry rot that the inspector had found on the outside of the house. Everything was treated and repaired, not only thoroughly and efficiently, but also so attractively that now that everything has dried it is not possible to see the holes were drilled to put in the termite poison. There was no smell afterwards, and everything looks and feels great. And not only was everything done on time --- the work also came in under budget. My panic had been for nothing! The full price was very, very reasonable. This is a family business located in North Highlands, serving the whole Sacramento area. They are good people, intelligent, knowledgeable, and kind. Good Life Pest Solutions was a one-stop PROFESSIONAL business that handled my rat situation in two attics immediately. I called around 7:12 AM and get an answer from Josh. He came out that day, gave me a price, and set rat traps. Within two days, another person "Nick" came out and removed 1 dead rat. This young man was happy to do his job...which doesn't seem like a pleasant job to me anyways... Two days after that, a two-man crew showed up to closed-up/sealed-up the house from top to bottom (i.e.) in the attics, on the roof, in the garage, and under the house. They took photos showing all 17 areas they sealed up for me AND went the extra mile to take photos of other cracked tiles I need to repair ASAP. He sent the photos directly to my phone and they posted my photos in my acct with their company. Again, this was going the extra mile which seldom gets done even when you ask for it! I mentioned to Josh, I was going to be putting a new roof on my house in April 2023, and he PUT IT IN WRITING, Good Life will come out for FREE and do a check of my new roof and if there were gaps, Good Life will seal them up for the one price I already paid - so FREE for the new roof ! I had rats in the attic of my clay tile roofed house. Igor of Good Life Pest Solutions identified twenty-one places where rats could make an entrance and he blocked those points with wire mesh screen and black foam, providing pictures of each completed exclusion. Since I also had the contaminated insulation removed, the affected attic area was disinfected before the new insulation will be installed. Igor is very pleasant, provides details of all his work, communciates about his arrival time, and is always on time. I may book a year of pest control service just to address any possibilty that those clever creatures may persist in finding some new way in. Just had our first service on our newly purchased home--which is great as we had a yellowjacket nest that had just popped up. Good Life scheduled us within the week, and Dimitry came out this morning. Not only did he get that nest, he caught a black widow I didn't notice, a few hidden hornet nests in the gables, and he even thought to spray into metal fence posts that are missing caps.
