From the estimate to the final walkthrough, everything was exactly what they said it would be, clear pricing, no surprises, and on time. The crew was respectful of my home throughout the installation, and they made sure I had solid documentation of the work completed before they left. Sometimes the best thing you can say about a service company is that they just... handled it. These guys handled it. Highly recommend! read more

We had a roof leak, and I wanted to find out if the wet insulation material in the attic needed to be replaced, or just allowing it to drying out was OK. I left a voicemail yesterday morning, Jose called back a few hours later, and we made an appointment for this morning. He called before leaving the job prior to my appointment, and arrived at the estimated time. He went up to look at the leak area, and assured us that it will be OK to let it to dry out. My husband asked him to look around the attic, to see if there was anything that needed to be done. He noticed an area around a water heater pipe that for safety reasons shouldn't have insulation, and removed what had fallen in around the pipe. He thought we could add some new insulation material after we repaired the roof leak, to fill in areas that have been lost due to workers and rats moving insulation around . We hope to call him back next Summer to discuss this project. (Previous review: We didn't do it last time, because we wanted to wait until we knew there were no more rats up there. We're hoping we've really stopped them now, but we need to get through a winter first to be certain.) Overall, Jose was great. Very responsive, professional, and on time. read more

I got five estimates for insulation removal and installation in my attic and am so glad I went with Ruiz Insulation. Jose and Angel provided fantastic service at a super competitive price. I especially appreciated their stellar communication, as well as their keen attention to detail and safety. These pros really know their stuff and are open and honest. On top doing great work, they're very pleasant, friendly people. I'm letting my local family and friends know that if they need any insulation services, I fully recommend Ruiz. read more

We agreed that Jose provided the estimate we could live with to insulate our home. More importantly he explained that the existing fiberglass would provide sufficient insulation when up-topped with new insulation. He noted what needed to be done and how long it would take to do the job. Jose kept his word and the insulation work was completed as promised along with work I specifically requested. Jose and Angel did an excellent job, thank you read more

Jose & Angel did blow-in insulation at my house. They did an amazing job, house is so much cooler. Have not had the A/C on in the last few days, and house gets to 76 max. I noticed a difference immediately. Amazing value for money, and I am much more comfortable in my home. read more

This is a great family business of Jose Ruiz and his son Angel. I read great reviews on Yelp and contacted Ruiz Insulation for an estimate to bring the attic in my 43 YO 2-story home up to current CA code. Jose came out; inspected my attic and provided a reasonable and honest estimate. I booked the appointment and he and his son Angel stapled radiant barrier to the roof rafters. They installed insulation to all areas that were missing insulation, and then blew in more. They were very neat and courteous and they kept my upstairs carpet clean by laying drop cloths and wearing shoe covers. They showed me the end result and provided before and after pics. I highly recommend Ruiz Insulation as a 5-star service. They are informative, very honest, meticulous, hard-working and reasonable. read more

As of September 24, 2024 CSLB website says insulation contractor license 1043821 is active and good until 8/31/2026. I have not used them but am considering using them. I always check a contractor's license bonding and insurance before hiring. Yelp review process is forcing me to give a star rating in order to post this review, which is simply a confirmation of their license status. https://www.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/checklicenseII/LicenseDetail.aspx?LicNum=1043821 read more

I found Ruiz Insulation on Yelp and I'm so glad I did! Jose responded to my voicemail the same day and came for an estimate the following day. My job was scheduled for the following week. His bid was very reasonable, he was courteous and professional in every interaction, and he and his staff did a great job. He was on-time and the work took the length of time he predicted. He was careful about my property, no mess was left, and now I have a well-insulated attic. I'm feeling the difference already. So glad to have found Ruiz Insulation!!! read more

Very happy with the quality of the work, and price was best of the 3 companies I had provide estimates.

They did an amazing job, were right on budget, and left my house cleaner than it was when they arrived. Both men were very personable and considerate (and sweet with my kitties). The work was minimally disruptive, and they were in and out within the window they had committed to. I highly recommend them! read more

We requested several companies to provide a bid for adding insulation to our attic. Mr. Ruiz responded promptly as did one other company. We had requested this on a Friday. Mr. Ruiz responded an arranged a meeting on Monday Morning. Another company that replied also arranged to meet us that Monday in the afternoon. Mr. Ruiz arrived promptly as arraigned. The other company sent us a message shortly before they were to arrive stating they were sick an would not be able to make it. Mr. Ruiz looked at the insulation in our attic and advised that we already had an R value of about 38 and that we really did not need additional. We asked him to prepare an estimate to bring us up to R 50. He prepared an estimate that was extremely reasonable. He advised that because of the insulation in our attic and the trusses used for our roof it would be extremely difficult to put in more bats as it would be very hard to get them through the trusses (about 20 years ago I added bats and it was extremely hard). He wrote the estimate for blown in insulation. We arraigned an appointment that would fit our schedule and he arrived as arraigned. What was supposed to be a two our job only took a little over an hour. They were very thorough and they had protected the main level of the house to prevent any debris. Mr. Ruiz is very professional and honest. I looked at the work after it was done and it was excellent. From my calculations he more than meet our request for R 50. Look no further for you insulation needs. read more

Jose came out to give me a estimate on blowing in insulation to get my r rating to r-49. The estimate was reasonable so he came in 3 days later to blow in the extra insulation which only took about a hour and half. He was very professional. Great Job! read more

Ruiz Insulation - Insulation Installation Near Me - Sacramento, California

By far the best at what they do. I requested a clean out of the old attic insulation and a new blow in. I am more than happy. From quickly replying to a request for estimate, answering any follow-up questions and getting on their schedule to install the new insulation. They were professional, super clean, and even asked if I wanted to take a look. All I can say is wow. They sealed up all the openings and installed baffles to help my attic perform better. Their quote was super reasonable and the final product install looked great. Look no further than them if you are looking to have it done right. read more

We had multiple bids too remove our old attic insulation and install new insulation verses just adding to existing insulation. We read Jose's company reviews and he and his crew were as advertised a 5 Star. He set up an appointment for the estimate and was on time and provided us options. We were able to schedule the insulation date quickly. His crew showed up exactly when they said. They were prompt, efficient, personable and professional. They set up our home to ensure it stayed clean and completed the job as promised. He provided photos to ensure we were satisfied with the job! We highly recommend Ruiz Insulation. John B. We got three estimates and Ruiz was the most reasonable and seemed like he really knew his business. The job involved inspection, recommendation , removal of old insulation, ceiling the intrusions to the living area and installing new R 49 insulation. There was never a question that Jose couldn't answer or an issue he couldn't solve. Even while Doing his job if he saw a new issue he brought those to our attention. They were very thorough and clean. We were thrilled with his work and the results and would highly recommend them. read more

Jose was prompt and timely with his bid. His price was very fair and reasonable, much better value than many of the other bids by a long shot. On insulation removal day he was here the time he said he would be. Our attic access is in the master closet. We had threw some old sheets over our bed and dresser. Jose had covered everything in the bedroom with plastic sheets and the walkways with cloth. After insulation install day our house keeps the temp so much better. Previously I would need to keep the ac at 68-69 to be comfortable now we can keep the thermostat set to 76. We run ac less and are using less ac at peak hours saving us money. I'm going to be adding insulation to my detached garage and will be hiring Jose again. Highly recommend. read more

I've call several insulation companies and Ruiz insulation was one of the few that got back to me. The ones that did get back to me, showed up, looked at my job, and I've never heard back from them or gave me an outrageous quote. Keep in mind, my job was roughly a 350 square foot tiny house. So the job isn't terribly small and could be done in half a day. This was to insulate all walls and ceiling. I wanted batting and not spray on. Jose Ruiz was very professional. He checked out my project and got back to me the same day with a bid price. Price is definitely reasonable and even better.... reliable! I can't tell you how many contractors I've been working with during this build that won't even respond to calls after a job walk. I signed the contract and scheduled a date for the installation. Jose and another guy showed up on time as planned. Completed the job in 4 hours and even cleaned up their mess! This was the first contractor that I didn't have to clean up after! My inspection passed and I'm happy with his work. I will definitely be using him again! read more

Jose and his crew were showed up, on time ( a big deal with me ) and got straight to it. They were clean, courteous, and efficient. His quote was more than reasonable, after I received a quote from a well known family outfit that was 350% more. I am more than happy to recommend Ruiz Insulation to anyone looking for this service. read more

Can not recommend this honest and trustworthy company enough. I had Ruiz out to take a look at our attic and assess the insulation situation. I explained that I was having some issues with cooling the house and i wondered if I might need to address it by replacing/removing insulation. Upon looking at the attic they determined that there was nothing wrong with the insulation but discovered issues with my duct work. As this was something they don't deal with they could have easily done nothing but they went out of their way to come up with a temporary fix to tide me over until an HVAC pro could come out and resolve the issue. I'm grateful for their help - our house is already so much more comfortable! read more

Ruiz Insulation came to our house to remove the attic insulation prior to the reinstallation of new insulation. The job also included prepping the attic for the new insulation and sanitizing the workspace. They came in on time and did a great job clearing out the attic of insulation, debris and dead critters that have been there for up to the past 35 years. The crew came in on time and everything was very clean during their work and after their day and a half job. They were very friendly and accommodating and were able to answer all of our questions. read more

My house was built in 1976 and my electrician said there were some issues in the attic that he'd like to take care of but needed the insulation out of the way. After reading the reviews for Ruiz, I asked for a quote. Jose, came out and crawled up in the attic to take a look and was very fair. And he was able to send his crew out and remove all the old insulation and as a bonus, they put in spray foam insulation in all the gaps. He was able to schedule around having my electrician come out the day after and do his work, then sent his crew out the following day. Great job and great experience all around. As a bonus, I've already noticed how much better my home is holding temperature. The heater is coming on a lot less frequently. I can't wait to see how much less my PG&E bill is. read more

Extremely nice people to work with. They were punctual, quick, efficient, cleaned up after the job and were courteous when answering questions I had. We had someone come in to service our Furnace after they did blow in insulation in our attic, and even the service person said they did a great job and gave the furnace a berth of space I like a lot of jobs he sees. Jose Ruiz and his son Angel, were the most professional company i used for my home renovation in Sacramento. Kudos!!! And there were about 12+ companies i used for different purposes (Solar panels, HVAC, Paint, Plumbing, Hardwood flooring, Carpeting, Roofing, Carpentry, Pool Solar etc.) and they showed the greatest professionalism, ethic and quality of work. I just wish that other companies may follow the way they conduct business. They do respond on my inquiries (email, text, phone), they show for estimate and do their work correctly, they offer solutions and all of that with very solid quality price ratio and respectable behaviors that is truly customer oriented. What the say they do they deliver. Just wish there were more companies like that :) read more

Professional and responsive. Offered recommendations for other trades to help me out with my project.

Warning! Avoid this company! Jose the owner came and measured my house and gave me an estimate for insulation in two rooms as well as the attic. The walls were exactly 400 sq feet according to him. We got an estimate from another company for the two rooms as well as a third room (bathroom) and it was only 358 feet. I asked Jose if he had included any other walls and he said no. We still wanted to use him because he had more availability but I explained the large discrepancy in the measurement. I asked if he could double check on the day of the job to confirm. He got defensive and angry and canceled on us. It was totally unnecessary. We were willing to pay his estimate, we just wanted to understand the different figures. Asking about it did not seem unreasonable, but it apparently offended him. And I didn't even ask him why his measurement of the attic found 20% more square feet (650 vs 542) than the other company. If you use this Jose, do yourself a favor and get a 2nd estimate. He is inflating the square feet in his estimate. read more

Great job. Timely, fairly priced. Great workers! I would highly recommend this company!

First of all, he responded to my questions right away. Answered all concerns i had. His price was the most reasonable. My wife mentioned that she felt comfortable with him in the house. some of the other estimators would scope around the house. These guys came in to do what they needed to, explain what it would take and answered any and all questions. They did the job in just a few days and left the place looking clean. They removed the old insulation, spray foamed to seal up any areas that had potential for air leaks, installed foil to the attic as well as installed spray insulation, and fixed the insulation for one of the air vents to one of the rooms. I even had them install foam board with built in attic foil in one of the small attic areas. Overall, I was really happy with them. As a result of the insulation, there's usually about a 20 degree difference between the outside and the oustide. I think the second floor on the day its 107 this summer, our second floor was as hot as 94. this is only about 13 degree difference but as it rises from morning to the late afternoon there's usually a difference of 20 degrees. I haven't lived through a cold winter yet but recently it has gotten cooler. Outside temp has dropped to about 50 degrees but our house even with a window open is still 71-73 degrees inside. I think it'll save us money during the winter months I'm pretty happy about it. read more

I am echoing what others have said, but it is all true. Jose is wonderful to work with. He did an excellent job on my attic. I called him about adding insulation to my walls. He checked and said my walls were already insulated. It is a rare contractor who provides free estimates and then tells you you don't need to do the work. read more

I called for a quote on removing and replacing our attic insulation and Jose was able to come out the same day. His price was a lot less than another quote we got and he was able to complete the job just 1.5 weeks later. We hired Ruiz Insulation after getting a couple of quotes. We needed more blown-in insulation added to what existed in the attic of the living area of our house and new insulation put in the attic above our garage which never had any. I thought we might also need it in the walls of our garage, but since the side faces north and is always in the shade, Jose said it wasn't really necessary. His quote was almost 3 times lower than a competitive estimate. Jose and his crew arrived when promised, did a very good job and cleaned up after themselves. He had us check the insulation to be sure we were happy, which we were. He also provided us with the documentation of the work for our files. I would highly recommend his services. read more

Hired Ruiz Insulation to clear out old attic insulation, seal it up and replace. Jose is very responsive, direct and answered all of our questions. Quote was provided in a very timely manner. The work was scheduled quickly. The start was delayed by 1 day - no fault of Jose's - but he was very communicative about this. Jose and his crew did a great job cleaning up after each day - you would never have known they were there (and it was messy work!). What's more, at the end of the job Jose informed me that our attic space had less square footage than he quoted us for and so he dropped the final price by $500. He could easily have charged us the original quote and we would never have known the difference. It is also worth noting that, although Ruiz insulation is not a SMUD contractor (so we did not get the SMUD rebate) his end price was more affordable than two other quotes we got that included the SMUD rebate! Honest, efficient, quality work. Very pleased that we chose to work with Jose - we would absolutely recommend him. read more

I was acquiring about improving or adding insulation's into my attic to save on energy. I noticed that my attic is super hot in the summertime. Mr Ruiz was excellent. Even though, he had a busy schedule he made time to come out to inspect my attic. Rather than taking advantage of the situation. Mr Ruiz was honest and educated me on how I can improve my attic ventilation. I was very pleased of his visit and will definitely use this company in the near future if I need insulation's. Kind and genuine. Jose called me and was out to my house Saturday morning. He found the problem which was shotty work of the flippers I bought house from. Jose literally provided a quick fix for FREE and for the first time since this winter my kid and I slept in a warm house. Jose emailed me a quote within the next few days and answered my questions. I called another company but they were booked solid and recommend Ruiz Insulation- funny because they were #2 on my list from my own research, so I knew it was a good sign when the other guy recommends them. I can do the immediate fix and get the bigger work done later! Glad Jose came out for the inspection and provided us a temporary fix and no cost! They've got my business and referral! read more
