From their sales team that came out to the help from management and all the techs and installers, every single person who came through was transparent, respectful (not just of me and my wife but also our home, our fur babies, and our time), informative, and just super nice. Would absolutely recommend Atticman and will be coming back for more help in the future. We spent a pretty penny since this was a big job (one of our biggest since purchasing this home) but it was well worth it.

Two years later, system still works great. Three stars due to the upsell pressure and poor first-pass quality. Grateful they came back and made it right. And get this, we've only turned on the AC once (in the late spring we would have turned on the AC at least a few times). Of the other insulation companies I had contacted in the Sacramento area, Evergreen was the most prompt and professional. We needed new insulation for our crawlspace and updated insulation in our attic as recommended by a home inspector/structural engineer. We're glad we did because it feels less drafty in our home and the southwest corner of our house no longer bakes in the afternoon. My husband was very pleased when working with Ruben. Ruben clearly explained the issues in our attic i.e. accumulated heat, lacked ventilation, and the 70 year insulation had deteriorated, and made suggestions on what could be done. We were given multiple quotes to work within our budget. We are very happy with Ruben and crew's work as it is held to a very high standard. As a bonus, the crew vacuumed our garage because it was being used for equipment storage. They left it cleaner than when them came.

We moved to Roseville last year and bought a house that barely had any insulation in the attic and…read morerat droppings everywhere. After Reuben came to work on it the first week, he said that they sealed up all the holes and added so much insulation. We asked for a whole house fan to be installed. They told us that it was out of stock and was delayed by six weeks. I called Home Depot and they said they had some great ones in stock and under $1500. We paid over $4k for everything. They didn't test the fan before leaving and took weeks to get them to respond. Turned out they had a big job in San Jose and couldn't be bothered. We had to call the manufacturer and my husband had to scale around the beams to get to the fan to sync the Bluetooth. Today, pest control found a dead rat in the trap and Atticman gave us a quote to fix their crap job. Airflow going from duct to duct instead of mixing box with duct tape that's fallen off.

I went into the attic to see the results personally (they did send pictures) and the quality of the install was great. Carols is a straight shooter and his team are professional. You can tell they pay attention to detail because the garage was left cleaner than what I originally left it as. For my experience, many contractors tend to leave a mess behind sometimes for their customers which can be frustrating. For my research with close cell spray foam there is definitely a technique behind it for proper installation, and I am pleased with what I see. I did expect more fumes from the spray foam, but surprisingly the product they use has minimal smell to it.

The existing insulation had aged down to around R19 or less, and I wanted to upgrade it to R49 thickness. Brenton explained the options clearly and recommended air sealing as part of the job, which required lifting the old batts first. Anthony and his team handled the installation, and I was really impressed with their work and professionalism. Anthony took the time to explain everything and even went beyond my expectations. He added R49 insulation to the attic entry as well, making sure there wouldn't be a hot spot compared to the rest of the insulated attic. I chose ECO because of their long, reliable history, strong reviews, and the fact that they are local to me. Their quote was fair and honestly one of the best among the reputable companies I contacted. Great work overall -- I strongly recommend ECO Insulation for any insulation or air sealing work. Beyond easy experience with Chris. My dryer suddenly started giving off a burning smell, which I…read moremistakenly attributed to the lint catch being overloaded. But even after cleaning it out, the smell wasn't going away. Then the vent started giving off either smoke or steam, and in a panic I immediately turned off the dryer. Thank God I didn't start a dryer fire. The second I shut it off and made sure everything was ok, I opened Yelp and searched for a dryer vent cleaner. Chris's Insulation came up, he had great ratings, he was super close by, so after calling a different service and going to voicemail, I called Chris. Chris picked up after the second ring. When I told him that I needed someone to clean our dryer vent and what had happened, he said he could come out either between 5:00 and 6:00 pm that evening or the next day. It was already mid-afternoon when I called, so I was surprised to hear him say he could still come out same-day, but I decided to have him do that since I was free and also still a little shaky following what happened with the vent either smoking or steaming. Chris showed up during the window he quoted and wasted no time getting to work. He started the second he arrived and was done within the hour. His pricing was incredibly reasonable and fair and so far, in the couple of weeks since he was here, we've had no issues with the dryer.
