I had such a horrible experience with the lazy tech (Daniel) that flat-out refused to provide the service I paid for, telling me "I could lose my license if I spray inside your house without you completely emptying your kitchen cabinets". Matt at Kast Pest Control has been servicing our home for exterior pests for almost a year now and they solved a lot of problems of unwanted visitors shortly after me moved in. He's always extremely professional, courteous and takes time to understand if we are having any unusual pest activity. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very nice but they don't do estimates and they don't do rodent exclusion (prevention). He rattled off some high prices for monthly pest service and stated I had to sign a contract for service. We ultimately went with a copy that provided a free estimate where the technician showed me pictures of my attic and the areas where rodents could access. He gave a detailed estimated which prioritized rodent exclusion. They guaranteed their work for 2 years and offered a no pressure, no contract monthly pest service. Just want to share that I had an emergency today with bees taking over the home I rent. It was swarms and I was trying to get help right away. When I called Kast Pest Control; he was rude and said he would only come out and help if I signed a one-year contract for pest control services. I told him that I may be interested in that but for now I just need help please. He continued to say that I had to sign a contract first. It was a very bad experience. So, I called Please Don't Bug Me Pest Control and she came out right away and did an amazing job safely eradicating the bees at a very reasonable rate. I am so thankful. We just closed escrow and noticed outside cockroaches were seeking food in an empty place and then starving. (Outside cockroaches are identified as round and bulbous. Inside ones are smaller and thinner). We all believe they were entering from exhaust vents. So we called Kast for help for their "move in" treatment. Derik was professional and explained the chemicals he was using and the pests. He did a thorough job inside and once done moved onto the outside treatment of the front, side, and back yard. The property was to be empty for at least 4 hours. He also explained there might be a surge in pests as they scramble around and die. Within two weeks they will come out free of charge to treat again. A single initial treatment is $80 but with yearly contract bimonthly at $80 each. read more

I called them on a Friday and spoke with the owner who was very thorough with what to expect from their company and by the end of our conversation I was more than impressed. We scheduled a technician, Daniel, to come out the following week and we love not having to deal with constant spiders and ants anymore. After moving to my new home in Paradise Valley last year, I right away noticed we had way more spiders than my apartment. I hate bugs so I searched around for a local pest control and discovered Kast. My initial call went very smoothly and Kast was out the following week for my first service. I definitely noticed a reduction in the creepy crawlies and I appreciate that they leave a note when they're done along with sending a text prior to service. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is right after the first quarter of my annual contract I began having billing issues. First I was double-billed in October and the only person who could refund the payment was on vacation. I understand that stuff happens so I allowed them to use my additional payment for my December billing. I was then charged back-to-back in February and March even though the billing was supposed to be every other month. While I was as able to get a refund for the erroneous March billing, I wasn't confident that my billing was being done correctly so I requested to switch to my credit card because I don't like surprises in my checking account. Everything was going smoothly until I received a notice that my pest control service was scheduled for the end of June. However someone had been to my house on/around the first week of June (following my normal schedule). When I responded back that we had already been serviced as I had received the bill that is left as always, I was told that they haven't been out since April. I'm not sure if it was due to COVID19 but it seems as though things were being overlooked. After this final incident I've decided to cancel my service. They do provide amazing pest control but the billing issues were a dealbreaker. Edit: This morning I received a call from Mrs. Kast, and she was very apologetic about the issues I experienced. While I have moved on to another pest control service, her sincerity and understanding of my feelings on the issue makes me so very happy. Again, amazing pest control and I'm hoping now that Mrs. Kast has "cleaned house" there will be nothing but success and smooth sailing in their future. read more

Tech came back out and said that was not from the spraying. The office staff blamed it on housekeeping vs taking responsibility...really??? I swear these reviews must be paid for. We decided to support this local, family owned "pest control" business to give them a shot after using Terminix for a number of years. Worst mistake of our lives. Should have stayed with the big boys. We never had an issue with spiders, bugs or other creatures while using Terminix but after switching to Kast "Pest Control" the appearance of pests that should be controlled has gotten worse. Not only do we see live bugs and spiders in our house way more than before (to be honest you can never 100% get rid of anything) but after 7 years of living in our beautiful home, our dogs have now been overrun with fleas. We've had dogs for 15+ years (2 outdoor and 2 indoor) and up until switching to Kast we hadn't ever had a problem with fleas. Ever. On top of the flea fiasco, we also found a dead mouse in our outdoor dogs water bowl. Yuck! The "exterminator" (whoever he was) was supposedly showing up to our house to spray the backyard but I swear he probably couldn't even tell you what it looks like. We have a way of telling if someone has been in our yard and on the days he allegedly sprayed there was proof that he never even entered our gate. To top it off he had the nerve to put a bill on our door invoicing that he used a certain number of gallons servicing our entire property even though he did not ever enter our back yard. I'm not sure if he used any of said gallons to treat our property but what I am sure of is that when asked if he needed access to the yard that day he said he didn't. When I returned I found the bill claiming he did. Go figure. When I noticed the fact that I had been billed but not serviced I immediately called Kast and voiced my concern that I was being charged for service that I was not receiving. Because my family had noticed more and more pests since using Kast, I expressed to the owner my fear that this may not have been the first time I was charged for service that I didn't receive. I was then told that this was "a one time thing" and that they would send the same "technician" to our house to redo the "work." It was probably worse the second time around. Every call to the since has gone unanswered and unreturned. Have the paramedics standing by with oxygen if you plan on holding your breath while waiting for this business to return your phone call. They'll proudly take your money and not accommodate you when you have a problem with the service or a technician that may be operating unethically. You can believe the other reviews if you want to but I would beware. Unless, maybe you won't mind living with pests and bugs along side you in your home. As for me and my house...we do not recommend doing business this company. read more

I received A+ service from them, from the beginning to end. I sent a message stating my pest issues during off-hours, and I still got a response although the office was closed. My husband and I have been noticing an unusually lot of creepy crawlers-especially spiders i.e black widows, daddy long legs, mosquitoes, moths, and slugs. Every morning I see my poor husband sweeping the cobwebs, then when we come home, they're back again. Enough is enough. I decided to do my research on pest control companies in our areas, and the one that I led myself going with is Kast Pest Control. I like to support the local shops around my area, to help them increase their business and I do feel that they have better relationships with their customers, by making each experience unique and very personable. I reached out to Kast on Yelp, and immediately received and immediate response from the owner Christine. Speaking to her about the services that they provided, what's covered on the initial consultation, how their chemicals are effective and pet-friendly. I have an outdoor cat and indoor cat, and I worry about any pesticide treatment, and the toxicity that it may effect my pets, and her reassurance made me feel at ease. When the pest control guy came to the house, he was very thorough of what he was doing, what areas of the house that he needed to cover, and where will he be planning to spray. He even explained to us of how the treatment will work, what will we see in the next few days, and the effectiveness of the treatment. There was no hidden agenda, everything is up front, and he was very knowledgeable with these nasty little things. I have yet to see anymore creepy crawlers anymore outside the house and that is an A+++ , hip -hip -- hooray feeling. I had to postpone the indoor spraying since we had guests who came over unexpectedly-- I will definitely have to make another appointment for this to be taken care of.
