Our kitchen was invaded by a demon rat that took up residence under the dishwasher and refused to be trapped or lured by any of the prescribed methods. Dominic resolved the issue personally. He is our hero and we highly recommend him! read more

Just awesome! I can't say enough about Dominic! Quick to respond ! Quick appointment! And honest, turns out we have a new type of bug that's starting to come into the bay so there isn't a way to kill them. Dominic came out and gave us some tips and was so nice about it! Since there is no way to exterminate them he did charge us! All around great guy! Will definitely use and let everyone I know about him! Thank you Dominic! You're the best! read more

I meant to write this a few months ago after Dominic came out to my house. We've lived here five years and always had a problem with ants. No matter what we did, they were always in everything. As I was pregnant at the time, I wanted to get rid of them before the baby arrived. After just one visit, no more ants! He was very professional, but also very congenial. I highly recommend his service not just for the efficacy of his treatment, but also for his warm and honest personality. read more

Excellent service from Dominic and his colleague in the middle of the shelter in place where I was sheltering with mice!!! They came on time wearing masks, assessed, and closed up some entry spots on single visit. Very professional. read more

Dominic was great! He has a lot of knowledge and took his time with my family and I to locate the problem and helped find a solution. Nowadays, it's hard to find kind and genuine people that you can trust. I highly reccomend dominic to everyone! read more

Sorry, I forgot to update. Dominic immediately made everything right when he got the feedback that I was upset.

Honestly, I'm not satisfied with the work, but I admit his is a good guy. I doubt the reviews, too. Everyone had such a long review including all the details description? Yeah, maybe. My husband called him for the possible rat issues in our attic. I know we have a massive attic, and he said he couldn't do anything and we had to call a professional company to clean up those big garbage. He then went around the house and check. He did give us some recommendations, but in my opinion, I paid $95 for nothing. He basically did nothing except some suggestions, and this doesn't help us at all. The total process took less than 30 minutes. I wonder how much he charged for those that gave good reviews. I hope they have a fee schedule so that we know what we expect to pay. read more

I first called another company to deal with a rat infestation in my crawl space, and my jaw dropped when they suggested that I install a concrete sub floor for thousands of dollars. I called Dominic to get a second opinion, and I'm glad I did. He pointed out the small openings on the walls where rats used as entry points, and he suggested that I trim the jasmine and climbing rose that were covering my roof. Sure enough, I discovered a rat's nest in one of the shrubs, and they may have moved into my attic if I had left it alone. Dominic set up a bunch of traps in the crawlspace, and he's already caught 5 roof rats within the first few days. And all this cost a fraction of the competitor's price. I found Dominic to be responsive and personable, and he's happy to offer advice. He's one cool guy, and I'm glad I called him! read more

Amazing customer service from Dominic and his receptionist! The nicest people!! Super friendly and professional also very thorough. We feel confident in his work and highly recommend this company! read more

I think that First Select - is excellent - in what it is. Those who Don't Like it - perhaps want something that it can not be. The work - seems effective - significantly STRONG - at doing what they do! They deal with - Ants - and they are extremely good with Ants. They are realistic - about what can and can not be done. They also note - their specialization - and the personal nature of their service. IF one wants - an "all business" - routine - company with a lot of employees and a strong "business office" - find a bigger company - maybe a chain company even. I prefer work - which is down to earth - and personalized and priced reasonably - and their work is that - very, very good at that! IF you want someone to come 24/7 - no - they are 9-5 M-F or close to that! Be realistic! Be clear at what you want! I think that Dominic really cares - and does - all that he can do! I highly recommend his company! I also think that a few other people - should be clear that what they want - isn't what his company can give you! Find your best alternative then, but don't trash - this company for not being what you want it to be. They are doing their best - and what they do is Great! read more

Dominic is our new best friend. And he got rid of the ants. Couldn't ask for a better pest control company! read more

There was a rat inside my house and I was in a panic. I called First Select and Dominick, the owner, called back in a few minutes. He was caring and listened. Despite his busy schedule, he agreed to fit me in as soon as possible. When he came to my house, he did a thorough assessment of my situation. I was very impressed by his dedication and hard work to fix my problem. He had to come back a second time and all is well now. Dominick is a skilled and experienced professional who clearly knows what he is doing. He is a good communicator and is clear about his services and pricing. I called First Select based on all the great reviews and having experienced them first hand I now see why. They were FANTASTIC! From the woman who first answered my call (sorry I don't recall her name) and was super helpful and friendly to Dominic who then hopped on the phone and explained how the process would work to rid my home of mice. We made an appointment for a couple days later and he arrived on time and ready to go to work. He inspected my whole place, sealed any possible entry points then set me up with a bunch of traps! And it worked! No more mice! THANK YOU FIRST SELECT! You are the best! read more

Jeff and Murphy returned to the boat and confirmed the bed bugs are gone! Many thanks to Dominic at First Select Pest Control for a successful treatment and to Jeff and his incredible sniffer dog Murphy at Scent Tek. Poor customer service! They sent a technician for an inspection at a charge of $175. Afterwards, I wanted to schedule pest control service, without any reason, the company refuses sending service crew. Called several times and left messages, they simply ignore my questions. Not sure where to start , but I had a rat problem at my rental and tenants we're not happy mad an emergency call to Dominic and he came out on a Saturday which was awesome since I can't get out of work on weekdays. First thing I experienced was his friendly calming demeanor which kept me calm through the process. As we walked around the property he pointed out the points of entry and what I could do to maintain a rodent free property he repaired some holes mad by rats and included some deterrent fabrics into the hole that will insure no more penetration at that spot. The bill was more than reasonable and he also takes credit cards. In closing he was very professional his attire his vehicle as well as the service , I would recommend this service to anyone who has pest issues. read more

We were having issues with a weevil infestation in our pantry. I called a number of different places around the Bay Area - some scheduled a time for a consultation and never called, others didn't offer this type of pest control service, and still others offered to get rid of the weevils but were pricey. First Select Pest Control called me just an hour after I submitted my request - Mike was running late to get home to dinner but wanted to make sure he responded to me on the same day. I was pleasantly surprised during our free consultation - he gave me advice on how to get rid of the weevils WITHOUT using pesticides and without needing to engage his services, thereby saving me a few hundred dollars. They are a great, honest, local, and family-owned business - I will go to them for all of my future pest needs! read more

What a great guy Dominic is. He helped us with a pest problem, by giving us referrals to some other companies, as he was concerned that he might not be able to come over to our place for a couple of days. When Dominic did come, his price was about 3-4 CHEAPER than the other companies, and he appears to have solved our issue quickly and inexpensively, without a lot of song and dance and unnecessary work. Mike, who is on his team, is excellent as well. We are considering using his integrated pest management service too. read more

Found First Select/Dominic from a referral for residential pest issue. They were quick to respond, showed up as promised on time and completed the work in a highly professional and personable manner. My flatmate had bed bugs and this company treated my flatmate's room. The problem was not solved initially, but Dominic went out of his way to offer us next round of treatments for the unit. If I could give this company six stars, I would! After providing excellent advice on wasps over the summer, we asked Dominic and team to help with a growing ant problem. Not only did they schedule the appointment quickly and take good virus precautions, they also provided expert service to deal with the ants. And BONUS WHILE THEY WERE HERE, Mike blocked a few rodent holes, vacuumed up some droppings, and set 3 traps as a courtesy. Really fantastic service. They can count on us as loyal customers from now on! read more

First Select Pest Control is the best :). Dominic came out yesterday to have a look at my residence. He pulled out the oven and the stove and informed me that I didn't have what I thought I had and turns out the creatures are living outside and are known as field/vega. Dominic is extremely knowledgeable and I would definitely use his company again :). read more

I had an emergency ant situation and I called First Select and spoke to Dominic. I wanted to see if he could come same day and he was all booked up but still made time at the end of his day to make it out to my place. He was so sweet and personable yet clearly knowledgeable and effective on taking care of the ants. I will definitely call First Select if I have any pest control problems in the future. Thank you! read more

First Select was able to get somebody out to our house very quickly for an ant infestation, and they expertly explained what was going on and what the treatment would be. The visit also included 2 free follow-up appointments, and they came back a couple of weeks later when the ants had reappeared. We haven't had an issue since! read more

I saw a few cockroaches around an oven I had brought home from college and immediately thought I had a cockroach infestation. I was expecting to be ripped off but these guys came and thoroughly checked my entire kitchen and garage and told me they saw nothing wrong and left me a bunch of extra traps just to make sure too. And they didn't charge me a single penny for their time! Super nice and 10/10 would recommend to anyone. read more

I have never been so eager to write a Yelp review! I have been spotting a few roaches and have never had them before. Darn used TV I'm sure is how they got in. First Select is busy for a reason! I received a phone call from the owner who made an appointment to meet me personally. He also gave me an estimate up front on the phone-no small print or sticker shock. When he got to my house after looking around, he tried to talk me out of it. He really was looking out for me not his pockets. I'm thinking he was infering I probably could get rid of the roaches myself. I'm sure he'd have let me know what I would need to do if I went that route without charging me a dime! I do not have any disposable income and it was tough to cover his quote, however I really needed peace of mind and asked if he could just go ahead and provide the service. He sprayed around the house and discovered I had a ton of ants on the side of my house. He let me know that the tx he was doing would take care of the ants as well. He put some things for the roaches around the house and told me that he will come back out 2 more times. Dominic is a dying bread! He is honest and won't try to sell you anything unnecessary nor will he over charge. If only I could find a mechanic with Dominic's work ethic and integrity. I'm a single working mother and I have had my fair share of business dealings that totally prey on me because of it. The check I wrote was my pleasure and it was well deserved. Dominic has restored my hope in humanity- what a gift! Be patient for an appointment it's more than worth it. Dominic loves his work and takes pride in it. He definitely reaps what he does! Thanks for your service! read more

Dominic with First Select Pest Control is awesome. They are extremely responsive and professional. I call about a rodent issue for a property in San Pablo. They quickly came out, addressed the issue, and did so at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this company. read more

Dominique and Mike are wonderful people! They came out in a timely fashion to assess our rodent problem, got a reasonable quote to us right away, and came out a couple of days later to start the work. They rodent-proofed our home, cleaned up the mess, put out traps, and even came back and checked the traps while we were on vacation. A month after their initial assessment and estimate, we are seeing no rodents or signs of them in our house. They did all of this at a fraction of the price that other companies charge for similar service. I can highly and without hesitation recommend First Select Pest Control if you have a rodent problem. read more

These are two reviews in one: Dominic rushed to my house for an ant problem. He was very professional, caring, and went above and beyond to get rid of ants. He not only made the ants go away but offered practical advice for future prevention. What a big heart! On a separate visit, I had mice problem and he was the first person I called because of how awesome he was for fixing my ant problem. He was committed to help and came over several times (even late at night) to plug holes, survey the surroundings, and lay traps. His professionalism and desire to actually help people in a comprehensive manner was really appreciated. I will go to him for every exterminating need! Thanks Dominic! read more

My daughter had an ant infestation in her studio apartment. I called Dominic and he came out quickly and treated the exterior and she hasn't seen an ant since! The cost was more than fair and the piece of mind was priceless. Would absolutely use again. read more

Can you say professional, committed and personable? If you have a pest problem, call Dominic and I guarantee that's what you'll be saying. Here's what happened. Around 7 o'clock in the evening a mouse ran across my family room floor. Since it was after hours, I called First Select to leave a message. Dominic answered and took the time to get all of my information and explain his process to me as if I had called during regular business hours. It left me with a great first impression. When he came to my home, even though his shoes weren't dirty, he wanted to put booties over them because I have a light-colored carpet. I told him it wasn't necessary at all but he insisted. More points! He found the hole where the little varmint was getting in, sealed it, set traps and attacked my ant problem, too. All of this was done at what I felt was a reasonable cost. There are very few businesses that I would HIGHLY recommend. This is one of the few. In fact, I was so impressed with Dominic's work ethic that if I have a different home problem, (e.g., plumbing) I will be calling him to see if he might have a referral. Call Dominic. You'll be glad you did. read more

I am super impressed with Dominic's professionalism, expertise and actual kindness in my interaction with him on a call out to my house. When one has a critter problem, the anxiety that it provokes is terrible, and he was very reassuring and proactive. Not only was he empathetic, but honest in that using a handyman to seal up the points of entry would be more economical and practical for me. He did not have to do that, which means that he was willing to go above and beyond. I would recommend his services without reservation! Thank you Dominic! read more
