Honestly, I'm not satisfied with the work, but I admit his is a good guy. I doubt the reviews, too. Everyone had such a long review including all the details description? Yeah, maybe. My husband called him for the possible rat issues in our attic. I know we have a massive attic, and he said he couldn't do anything and we had to call a professional company to clean up those big garbage. He then went around the house and check. He did give us some recommendations, but in my opinion, I paid $95 for nothing. He basically did nothing except some suggestions, and this doesn't help us at all. The total process took less than 30 minutes. I wonder how much he charged for those that gave good reviews. I hope they have a fee schedule so that we know what we expect to pay. read more

I first called another company to deal with a rat infestation in my crawl space, and my jaw dropped when they suggested that I install a concrete sub floor for thousands of dollars. I called Dominic to get a second opinion, and I'm glad I did. He pointed out the small openings on the walls where rats used as entry points, and he suggested that I trim the jasmine and climbing rose that were covering my roof. Sure enough, I discovered a rat's nest in one of the shrubs, and they may have moved into my attic if I had left it alone. Dominic set up a bunch of traps in the crawlspace, and he's already caught 5 roof rats within the first few days. And all this cost a fraction of the competitor's price. I called First Select based on all the great reviews and having experienced them first hand I now see why. They were FANTASTIC! From the woman who first answered my call (sorry I don't recall her name) and was super helpful and friendly to Dominic who then hopped on the phone and explained how the process would work to rid my home of mice. We made an appointment for a couple days later and he arrived on time and ready to go to work. He inspected my whole place, sealed any possible entry points then set me up with a bunch of traps! Afterwards, I wanted to schedule pest control service, without any reason, the company refuses sending service crew. Called several times and left messages, they simply ignore my questions. Not sure where to start , but I had a rat problem at my rental and tenants we're not happy mad an emergency call to Dominic and he came out on a Saturday which was awesome since I can't get out of work on weekdays. First thing I experienced was his friendly calming demeanor which kept me calm through the process. As we walked around the property he pointed out the points of entry and what I could do to maintain a rodent free property he repaired some holes mad by rats and included some deterrent fabrics into the hole that will insure no more penetration at that spot. The bill was more than reasonable and he also takes credit cards. We were having issues with a weevil infestation in our pantry. What a great guy Dominic is. He helped us with a pest problem, by giving us referrals to some other companies, as he was concerned that he might not be able to come over to our place for a couple of days. When Dominic did come, his price was about 3-4 CHEAPER than the other companies, and he appears to have solved our issue quickly and inexpensively, without a lot of song and dance and unnecessary work. I have never been so eager to write a Yelp review! I have been spotting a few roaches and have never had them before. Darn used TV I'm sure is how they got in. First Select is busy for a reason! I received a phone call from the owner who made an appointment to meet me personally. He also gave me an estimate up front on the phone-no small print or sticker shock. When he got to my house after looking around, he tried to talk me out of it. He really was looking out for me not his pockets. I'm thinking he was infering I probably could get rid of the roaches myself. I'm sure he'd have let me know what I would need to do if I went that route without charging me a dime! I do not have any disposable income and it was tough to cover his quote, however I really needed peace of mind and asked if he could just go ahead and provide the service. He sprayed around the house and discovered I had a ton of ants on the side of my house. He let me know that the tx he was doing would take care of the ants as well. He put some things for the roaches around the house and told me that he will come back out 2 more times. Dominic is a dying bread! He is honest and won't try to sell you anything unnecessary nor will he over charge. If only I could find a mechanic with Dominic's work ethic and integrity. I saw a few cockroaches around an oven I had brought home from college and immediately thought I had a cockroach infestation. Around 7 o'clock in the evening a mouse ran across my family room floor. Since it was after hours, I called First Select to leave a message. Dominic answered and took the time to get all of my information and explain his process to me as if I had called during regular business hours. It left me with a great first impression. When he came to my home, even though his shoes weren't dirty, he wanted to put booties over them because I have a light-colored carpet. I told him it wasn't necessary at all but he insisted. More points! He found the hole where the little varmint was getting in, sealed it, set traps and attacked my ant problem, too. All of this was done at what I felt was a reasonable cost. There are very few businesses that I would HIGHLY recommend. This is one of the few. I had the pleasure of meeting Dominic for help with field mice getting into our home. When I called, he answered the phone right away and was able to schedule an assessment very quickly. He arrived right on time, with a smile on his face. He spent his undivided attention looking for areas of our home where they might be getting in and plugged up the holes, while showing me every step of the way. He knew I was freaking out about the rodents and wanted to be sure I saw the interventions he placed. He honestly gave me a quote and it was very affordable.
