Incredible level of service. Most professional service I've ever had. I highly recommend them to anybody looking or fed up with their current service. Easy to get a hold of and follows up are quick. Reports are emailed to you so you can look over work performed. Thank you! read more

I'm a first time home buyer and when I moved into my house I had the misfortune of discovering I a verity of pest. Dominic came out and really put my mind at ease, he let me know that it wasn't as bad as I originally thought, and came up with an affordable plan for getting rid of all those intruders. read more

Came promptly and dis a great job. The little teeny-weeny ant bastids are no longer crawling around our bathroom sink or trying to raid our kitchen counters. read more

Horrible service. I called today and the person who answered said they do service berkeley, but due to high demand they are currently not accepting new clients in the berkeley area, so they turned me down, and yet their website does say they service berkeley and she did verify that they service Berkeley and yet they aren't, so they are really wasting peoples times by falsely advertising their services and their staff person who answered the phones was very rude and didn't even bother to make a referral. Dominic and First Select are top notch! I submitted an inquiry on Sunday morning after discovering a major ant infestation (and the rainy season hasn't even started). He responded within 15 minutes and called me multiple times that day to set up a time. He kindly fit me into his busy schedule first thing Monday morning and even expanded our appointment to cover our neighbors' unit in our duplex. He found the root cause of our ant problem quickly, which makes me regret not contacting him sooner after years of battling ants. He was mindful to use the safest treatments possible given that children and pets reside in both units. If you are struggling with any sort of ant or pest problem, I HIGHLY recommend contacting First Select ASAP! read more

Very kind and patient. Explained things in detail. Especially helpful for students. As best as it gets.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dominic for help with field mice getting into our home. When I called, he answered the phone right away and was able to schedule an assessment very quickly. He arrived right on time, with a smile on his face. He spent his undivided attention looking for areas of our home where they might be getting in and plugged up the holes, while showing me every step of the way. He knew I was freaking out about the rodents and wanted to be sure I saw the interventions he placed. He honestly gave me a quote and it was very affordable. He was very honest and didn't try to charge me for unnecessary things like chain companies may try to do. He said that we are nieghbors and I just want to help take care of my nieghbors. Through out his whole visit he genuinely cared about our needs and said that if we are unhappy with any of the service, he would come back to fix right away. At the end of our visit, he asked "Do you have any feedback of how I can improve?" I thought this was a very humble question. I personally couldn't think of anything. I highly recommend calling Dominic for your pest control needs. He is a true local hard working and humble man. read more

I don't know what to say but awesome. Dominic came out on thanksgiving to help resolve a mice problem we were having. He is very passionate about his job and when I tell you he is good. All these different spots the mice were coming in the house he found. I recommend anyone with a pest problem call First Select Pest Control. read more

I wish there were more than 5 stars to give! I was so impressed with Dominic. He was thorough, genuine, and fair. I have had multiple pest control companies come to my apt in SF over the years and no one was able to find an access point for mice. He found it right away - yahoo! He's an expert at what he does and I would say look no more and contact Dominic for your needs today. Thanks! -Moe read more

Dominic saved the day! I was traveling through the Bay Area and thought we found bed bugs in our luggage. I found Dominic via Yelp and he responded to my inquiry in minutes! He talked us through options on a phone consultation, and then offered to take a look at the bugs we "caught" via microscope, free of charge, before committing to any services. Turns out we picked up roach nymphs in Mexico and not bed bugs! He not only stayed in constant communication throughout the day (which was the day after Christmas!!) but gave us an honest consultation and saved us hundreds of dollars. I highly recommend Dominic and his team for truly honest, expert service! Thank you Dominic! read more

Just want to concur to everything said about Dominic. Professional service and will to help are very well concentrated in one person. Thank you. read more

Delighted with First Select's excellent service and consummate professionalism. Dominic and Mike were outstanding, patient, expert, and provided us with effective ant control. Our kitchen was looking like a scene from Them! but thanks to First Select, we once again have a habitable home. read more

This review is long overdue. First let me say what a pleasure it was to work with Dominic, as several other reviewers have stated, he is extremely professional while at the same time being friendly and familiar. On top of that we couldn't be happier with the service that we received. I/we waited over 2 months since first select was at our house and we've had no recurring problems with mice or any other type of rodent. I noticed one negative review and frankly it pisses me off that someone would let that review stand after accepting both a discounted rate and then a full refund. My parents had a rat infestation in their attic in Berkeley and it cost them $4,200 to have that remedied. I noticed the same reviewer complaining that first Pest Control doesn't offer a free inspection. I believe I have some unique Insight here as well. With several years of working in South Florida, I've had experiences with at least a half a dozen exterminators and I can tell you that all of the ones that offer free inspections, only do so in the hope of signing you to an expensive annual contract, often for situations that can be remedied in one visit. Anyway I have no affiliation with first select Pest Control other than being a happy customer that paid full price for an excellent service. With that said I think that Yelp is an amazing platform for both praising good service and bringing awareness to poor services. We as Yelp reviewers wield great power and we need to be responsible with that power. Any questions I'm a real person feel free to message me. read more

I cannot stress how wonderful Dominic and his service is!!! He came to my apartment to rid my bedroom of fleas. Before arriving, he called me to inform me that he would be a bit late (which was absolutely no problem as he was so apologetic!!) When he got to my apartment, he conducted a thorough examination and quickly and efficiently sprayed my bedroom and living room to get rid of the fleas. He also offered to spray my car in the event that one had stayed on my clothes. Dominic was astounded that my landlord's were not helping me with this service and because I was a college student, Dominic gave me an incredible discount to help cover the cost of the treatment. Not only was Dominic incredibly professional, but he was so kind, understanding and caring. Please use First Select Pest Control if you have pests in your living space... the customer service, professionalism and kindness is off the charts!!! read more

Dominic is a super nice guy. Responded quickly and came out next day. He found the issues but due to the small amount of evidence of rodent presence (only in my stove), and obvious point of entry, he decided that we did NOT need his service of traps and monitoring, just closing up holes of entry for rodents. Gave us an excellent referral for that. We will call if ever see further evidence of mice. Seems to have a winning business model. Knowing what you are doing and being fair. Has own business after years of working for large companies which keep on being bought up by larger ones, he says. I highly recommend. read more

We hired this company to help us with our Argentinian ant problem. We had suffered through the problem for over a year and it was time to do something effective. Malika was our first point of contact. She works in the front office and her interpersonal skills courtesy and professionalism were truly exceptional. She was one of the main reasons we decide to go with this company versus a competitor. Their prices also were better than anything we could find. Dominique who comes in person to do the password himself is a true gentleman. The work was thorough and effective. I highly recommend this company. I will absolutely refer them to my friends and neighbors. read more

Dominic came out to treat an ant problem at my parent's house. He is very professional AND honest! Back for a second time and Dominic was great! Once again i was impressed with Dominic's depth of knowledge regarding my pest problem (spiders) and the number of techniques he used to eliminate my infestation. He went above and beyond what i expected and was by far better than any other of the Big Companies that advertise miracles and provide mediocre service at double the price! I'm totally satisfied with Dominic's work and no longer need to look for another Pest Control Company...Thank you First Select! read more

Dominic met my landlord at my home to survey our mice problem yesterday. By the time I had walked in the door from work, he had moved appliances, identified their entry, sealed the areas, put things back in order and cleaned up too. He also gave me a few mice traps in case I needed them. His expertise, professional and customer service is excellent! Thanks Dominic (from the customer you said looked like your cousin )! read more

Hiring Dominic and the rest of the very nice First Select team to get rid of my sworn enemies AKA the bane of my domestic life AKA tiny devils AKA colonies of demons AKA ants has been HANDS DOWN one of the BEST DECISIONS I have made IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I had decided that I could get rid of them myself. Then I decided that fighting with them daily was just my lot in life. Then I came home one day to A LITERAL COLONY SET UP CAMP ON MY KITCHEN COUNTER -- sugar container breach, water left in the tea kettle, cozy space under the knife block FOR NOT ONE BUT TWO QUEENS... I sat down on the kitchen floor (no more ants on the floor! Every single ant in the neighborhood was on the counter!), cried, and then called Dominic. I am not exaggerating when I say that I have thanked First Select Pest Control in my heart nearly every single day since. They are the Best Domestic-Life Friends I have ever made, saving me from some of the worst bullies I have ever had. I will hire them however many times I need to to re-up the Domestic Bliss that is being able to leave food (and water!) out with the Reckless Abandon of a College Freshman Dude-Bro. :) read more

Flexible, fast and detailed. Got rid of ants as promise in 2 separate properties in the first visit.

Outstanding service -- Dominic is friendly, knowledgeable, and resolved my ant problem quickly! Strongly recommended.

When we had rats in one of our pantries, our son suggested First Select. We met Dominick and hired him. He quickly found the holes through which the rats had entered, sealed them, cleaned up the rat debris in the pantry, and set traps. On his next two scheduled visits, he removed the dead rats, and we have had no more problems since. All this was done for a very reasonable price, and we also found all of our interactions with Dominick and First Select to be very pleasant. read more

Dominic is AMAZING! He's as great as every one on here says he is! We started hearing noises in our wall in the middle of the night about 3 weeks ago. My husband and I figured we had a rodent issue in our garage. Like most folks, we tried to catch the rodent(s) on our own by buying all kinds of traps. But after a week out, having caught a rat but still hearing noises in our wall in the middle of the night, we gave up and I did my research on yelp! I called First Select Pest Control and spoke with Dominic that morning and he was at our house to do the inspection that afternoon! He's incredibly kind and his prices are very reasonable. He did an inspection of the home, made recommendations on where to close up entry points to where the rats could be getting in and set up traps in our crawl space to where he found evidence of them. Once we completed his recommendations in sealing up the entry points, we stopped hearing noises in our wall. Dominic came by a week later to check on the traps, he confirmed he caught one which explains the end of the noise and confirmed he didn't see any others in the other traps. Dominic made an incredibly frustrating and mentally terrorizing issue as pleasant as possible! If you're in need of pest control, Dominic is your guy!! Oh and Dominic is incredibly thorough in his communications and invoices via email! He's my kind of people! Thank you so much Dominic!! You're very much appreciated!! read more

If I could give him 10 stars I would. Dominic answered my phone call and set up an appointment the following morning. We had a mouse in the house and he fixed the problem immediately. He did a detailed inspection inside and outside of our home and and pointed things out that I had no idea were an issue and fixed them on site! He attended to every nook and cranny and we have no issues at all now! He even followed up to make sure everything was ok and even offered to come back if anything came up. Genuine, honest, reasonable and VERY clean. I am speaking from my heart when I tell you he is a really good guy. read more

I'll keep this review brief. Had a persistent mice problem in my home and the company I was using couldn't figure it out for months how they kept getting in. I decided to get a second opinion and decided to call first select based on their reviews. Dominic came out and found the entry point within 10 minutes of inspecting my place. Granted it was behind some vegetation on the side of my house, but really?? The last company couldn't find the hole? Needless to say first select is now my pest control company and they also service my home on a regular basis for other critters like ants and spiders. Oh btw the last company was a huge pest control company who were always extremely hard to get a hold of. So I get a better quality service and I support a local company! So five stars! Highly recommended from this satisfied customer! read more

Hands down the best customer service experience! Dominic was extremely responsive and generous with his recommendations regarding our rat issue. He even went above and beyond to sealing some of the entry points that we missed as first time home owners. No up-selling and a very honest individual. I've locked his contact information into my phone as I will continue to reach out to him for any future pest concerns. read more

Dominic is a true professional! Clean, prompt, thorough, and most importantly good at what he does! We had a wrap on our boat that crapped on when the bottom of my boat was a part for upgrading. The wrap started to chew through all our systems and was impossible to trap. Dominic came in with all the right tools and took care of it in less than one week. While his business is new, I can tell already he's going to be a great success because of his dedication to the job and his customer service. Thanks again Dominic read more

I was wildly happy with the service I received from First Select. I called this morning and Dominic came about 2 hours later. He was kind, courteous, incredibly professional, and very very thorough. He carefully explained everything he was doing and is coming back to make sure the problem is solved in a couple of weeks. WOW! I could not recommend First Select more highly. read more
