First, can I give more than 5 stars?!?! When I moved to Seattle two years ago, a good friend of mine recommended I check out Dr. Singh. And I have to say...I HAVE NEVER FELT LIKE A MORE INFORMED PATIENT!! Dr. Singh and his AMAZING staff are a delight to be around, extremely informed, patient, and were more than willing to answer ALL OF MY QUESTIONS. Every time I walked into the office (I went a few times because well, such is life), I felt like I was home (didn't know I could feel this way about my dentist office, but here we are). The hardest thing was always staying on top of my insurance, what I was entitled to, how to approach my treatment plan - it can all be very daunting and overwhelming. No matter how many times I asked Dr. Singh or his staff (shout out to Dayna) to explain things, they did it and with a smile. When you move to a new city, you always miss our go to spots. If I ever left Seattle, I would 1 million % miss this office. If you're new to Seattle (or even if you're not) and looking for a new dentist, check them out. I cannot speak highly enough about this dentist office. They use cutting edge tools i never knew existed, and are flexible and transparent. The office is open, pleasant, and clean. The view is great and the vibes are immaculate. It's boujie without being pretentious. Dr.Singh and the dental staff here are so informed and kind. The first time i came here i actually cried in the chair because i have never had such a positive experience at a dentist office. They have lovingly been working with me to correct decades of dental mistreatment and neglect experienced while on dental medicaid. I recommend this office to everyone. Unbelievable. First I had a filling that was completely messed up and had to be fixed. Now I get a bill for $189 for a routine cleaning while I've been using the same insurance for years with no copay... They always try to upsell you on treatments as well. The worst possible doctor's office I've had to deal with in the States. I was told about an urgent procedure, scheduled on a treatment plan, upon my visit, Doctor recommended me an updated plan with reduced number of visits combining some procedures on the same side of mouth. They rescheduled me but when my mouth got sore because of the previous procedure, they mentioned a $80 fee because it was within 48 hours. (They booked the appointment on Monday for Wednesday and I requested cancellation early Tuesday morning). Highly confused, unprofessional and uninformed staff at the office. read more

"Deception Hill" seems fitting as the name for this dental office. Last year, my insurance benefits reached their maximum limit. In light of this, I inquired with the office about possibly receiving a special discounted price without involving my insurance. This was based on my understanding that regular dental offices typically offer special payment or discount plans. After receiving a discounted quote and undergoing treatment over 10 months ago, I was surprised to receive a bill for $300. Their response was, "Our office does not allow cash pricing. We do not offer that here in our office. To clarify, we do allow you to pay with cash however all treatment rendered in our office does legally have to be conveyed to your insurance provider, otherwise it is considered fraud.." It's quite interesting that they have chosen to emphasize the term "fraud," despite the lack of clear communication prior to the treatment and their deceptive approach. If you're seeking a frustrating experience riddled with unanticipated multiple bills many months following your treatment, I highly recommend visiting this particular office. read more

I am very impressed with this practice. Was recommended to me by a friend who sees them. I had to find a dentist nearby who could see me right away, as I had a front tooth that had broken. I couldn't leave it that way for long, obviously. Very professional and friendly. Very up to date equipment and very comfortable chair. I don't rate dentists on their window view, but theirs is fantastic. This was first time for me at the office. Up front about the costs involved, answered all my questions. Dr. Singh was not rough al all or cause pain. He does excellent work. The tooth actually looks better than it originally did before it was even broken! This is my second appointment here, and just as the first, I'm very happy with the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. I've never felt more comfortable at a dentist in my life! My first appointment, I was asked a load of comprehensive questions to ensure that I'd be receiving the highest quality care to accommodate my needs, and they far surpassed my expectations. Everybody was kind and genuine in their approach, and nothing was left ambiguous. I felt very comfortable asking questions if I needed clarification. I'm currently at my second appointment, and my one pseudo-complaint is that the dental hygienist Pak seemed mildly abrasive, and to get frustrated with me when I wasn't following his directions (don't move; look up; relax your tongue/jaw; etc.). To be fair, the entire left side of my mouth was numbed so that he could do a deep cleaning, and I couldn't feel anything to really know that I was tensing up. (I've never experienced this kind of numbness before, ever.) I told him I wasn't trying to be difficult and he seemed to lighten up. I don't think it was his intention, but I was slightly uncomfortable. Things like this are what have deterred me from going to the dentist in the past. The difference is that now I'm old enough and wise enough to feel comfortable saying something about it. Aside from that, I still rate this place highly and won't go anywhere else. :) Also, the receptionist Kelsea is super down to earth and an effective communicator via both email and phone. She and her financial coordinator were kind enough to work with me when I was concerned about not being able to pay in full. First Hill Dental Center doesn't do payment plans, but you can pay with Care Credit, a credit card used exclusively for medical expenses. Payment is due at the time of service, so if you're having difficulties coming up with the money, don't be afraid to reach out to the staff and explain your situation. Before I get into how great this dental practice is I need to set some context that will make my review that much more valuable for other potential patients. I also want to be as objective and impartial so I must note that my girlfriend is a hygienist year for less than six months. we moved from Chicago two years ago and my girlfriend has worked at upwards of 20 dental offices with working interviews and full-time positions as well as contract positions. in my girlfriends' entire professional Seattle career there have only been two dentists that she has worked for where she feels confident in every aspect of their work and process. many if not all the dentist she's worked for due to reasons like general care, Best practice, and ethical treatment of patients and honest Billings she would not let me or recommend that I see the doctor she worked for. It wasn't until she had worked at this practice that she gave me her professional seal of approval. and I can't say I'm disappointed I've had thousands of dollars of work done both cosmetic and general. dr. Singh is TOPS, A1 all around. not only is his crate with patients with a wonderful bedside manner she and his team explain everything in full things that I thought used to be an upcharge from prior dentist so I even liked I now understand weren't actually up charges or upsell's but it was something recommended by former dentists that were truly in my best health interests. but it wasn't until coming to see Dr. Singh and having someone fully explain things to me that I now understand as objective benefits to my health. Where my Experiences prior with things like fluoride treatment or mouth guards we're never explained to me by a doctor or staff in a meaningful way. I should also add that as an Amazon employee Dr. Singh has proven to have a very conservative and thoughtful approach to dentistry so transparently that just because something is paid by insurance does not mean it is always highly recommended to follow through based on you as a patient and I greatly appreciate that. it's something very rare in this industry. read more

This practice pushed me to have 10+ dental procedures, costing over $10,000, that I did not need. I saw Dr. Singh three years ago for a regular check-up/cleaning, about a month before I was planning to leave Seattle. After my x-rays, he and the hygienist were insistent that I had 10 cavities that needed to be filled, and that I needed a root canal; the total would cost $10,000+ and take four full days. Based on my x-ray, he also repeatedly insisted that I grew up in an area without fluoridated water (even after I told him that wasn't true). When I told his office that I wanted to get a second opinion after I moved back home to the east coast, they did give me my x-rays (thank god), but were very pushy about trying to get all of the work done before I left. When my home/family dentist did my exam and looked at my x-rays, he only found one possible cavity, which he said we should 'wait and watch' while I used daily fluoride treatments (ACT mouthwash, prevident toothpaste). It's been three years now, and with routine check-ups and cleanings, all of the 'cavities' have resolved, and I haven't needed a single filling. It's frustrating to think that I could have undergone $10,000 worth of unnecessary medical procedures (which it felt like Dr. Singh's team was pushing on me), not to mention all of the lifelong followups since the failings are prone to fail after a few decades. They also have some pretty concerning price gouging/upcharges. They sold me some prescription Prevident (high fluoride) toothpaste for $45; once I got home, I realized that it retails on the internet for $30 (also what my current dentist charges for it). Their office is super-swanky with gorgeous views, fancy equipment (handheld x-ray machines), and free toothbrushes with the dentist's name engraved in them. However, you pay for all of that (plus the super-expensive First Hill rental space) through upcharges. It's a gorgeous facility, and the staff are nice (if not a little pushy), but I'd never go back. read more

Dr. Singh is without a doubt the best dentist I've ever had. I've always had dentists who have guilted me about flossing, torn up my gums at cleanings, and have been close to impossible to schedule for cosmetic treatments, etc. Dr. Singh and his staff are gentle, patient focused and NICE! Not to mention their office is on the 15th floor of their building, and every station has an amazing view of the city. I had temporary bonding caps on two of my front teeth for years (put on by my last dentist), and when they finally came off, Dr. Singh recommended BIOCLEAR, which I just had done today. I've never been so satisfied with my smile. The procedure was painless, comfortable and dare I say enjoyable! Another trait I've always found in previous dentists is that they always try to up-sell you, making you feel like you don't have other options. Never once have they tried to do this to me, and I am extremely grateful for it. Every staff member treats you like they've known you forever, and they all greet you with huge smiles and call you by name. I have always dreaded and feared going to the dentist, but my fear has officially been cured! I recommend Dr. Singh to EVERYONE, even if they live on the east side. It's worth it. :) read more

I went to Dr Eftehari for almost a year before deciding to switch to someone else. I was told that I had gum issues and it was very important that I come in every 3 months instead of every 6 and have special periodontal cleanings done with some fancy supersonic scraper. Oh and i NEEDED a mouth guard and it would cost $400 (no, your insurance won't cover most it) I was also told the last time I was in that I had a cavity that needed fixed...but they didnt want to do it until my next appointment (3 months from now). I have never had issues with my teeth before so these things really made me wonder what was going on, so I decided to just cut my losses and switch to someone else. My new dentist told me the following things: -My gums look great and i have little recession (no need to fancy deep cleanings) -The tooth that had a 'cavity' was just a filling, and there is nothing needed to be done. My guess is that she just wanted to replace the filling. As someone who has never had issues with their teeth, I would not recommend her for bi-yearly cleanings. She has fancy equipment and needs to pay for it, which means she is going to try to max out your insurance and getting you to pay for extra procedures. This is just how some businesses work. Been going here for four years. Started off with mouth pain that would cause recurring headaches and cavities. I thought that was just my normal, as I'd experienced that since childhood. Dr. Singh and his team got me to the point where I no longer have pain/headaches and also have not had a cavity in two years. This was a fine office until they kept me waiting for 45 minutes one day. I couldn't believe it. I'd shown up 10 minutes early, as they'd asked. When they finally brought me back and sat me in a chair, the hygienist very snottily informed me that the procedure would take at LEAST one hour. Oh HELL no. You did not just keep me waiting for 45 minutes and you're going to expect me to spend ANOTHER hour in this godforsaken office. I couldn't believe her attitude--it was indefensible. How about a kind word, like "hey, thanks for waiting for such a long time, we had an emergency/conflict/whatever." I removed the paper bib, said "this isn't going to work out. I actually have to go back to work now, and at this point, if time is money, YOUR office now owes me money!" and I stormed out. Dr. Eftehari does good dental work. I used to go to her, and my current dentist said the work was very good. Dr. Eftehari is very professional. The only thing is sometimes it felt like there was a lot of importance on cosmetics/looks. The doctor seems very focused on making money. There also seemed to be a lot of turn over for the hygienists, but that's really hard to tell when you go at varying hours 2 times per year. Also, the first time I went, I felt a lot of pressure to get a deep cleaning done. The procedure wasn't clearly explained to me, it was uncomfortable, and only partially covered by my insurance. At the time I was startled and felt a little taken advantage of, especially since with relatively health teeth/gums, I still had to pay out of pocket. She gets the "A-OK" rating from me because the work she performed was good and will hopefully keep my teeth strong and healthy. Eftehari moved from her Redmond practice and I moved to Seattle without realizing we both moved to the same place. I go to a different dentist in Seattle now. read more

I sought care from Dr. Singh after refusing to seek preventative dental care for a number of years. After being treated by Dr. Singh, I walked away knowing that I received a honest and invested appointment. He allowed time to provide a comprehensive review of my clinical status, a summary of the preventative measures required, and to answer my inquisitive questions. My hesitation in the past is that other dental practices attempted to encourage myself and my family members to pursue unnecessary dental procedures that would result in a large amount of patient responsibility; but Dr. Singh helped create a collaborative plan that was both fiscally and clinically appropriate. He has made himself available to patients in terms of appointment availability (including working late and weekend availability when requested by his patients), and calls me directly when I have a follow-up question. Eftehari is ABSOLUTELY a gold digger...dont be surprised when she will ask you to get a crown no matter why you go in for the treatment. Someone told me this before I went but I didn't worry about it. I went in with a lot of pain and she got me to put in a crown using up all my insurance for it instead of the root canal that I needed. I moved to Seattle from LA and asked my best friend for a referral to a dentist. I had been told by a dentist in LA that I needed three crowns on my back teeth. Dr Eftehari did a thorough exam and informed me that I really only needed one crown right away. The other two could wait. I really appreciate her honesty and professionalism. She's gentle and very caring. As far as the staff goes, I can't say enough nice things about them. Debbie is super friendly and helpful with insurance stuff. take a HONEST review from an individual who has worked in health care for many years and obtained regular dental care for many years, I did not enjoy this dental center at all. So here I go with my HONEST review: They were nice and all, but overall, not that friendly. It also was set up more like a business than someone that actually cared about their patients. They kept trying to push products at me and get me to buy expensive things. They probably did it to get all of those ridiculously expensive things paid for that they have in their office. I would not recommend at all. He told me I had several cavities. It was like he was LOOKING for something to charge your insurance for and get your money. I have had several cavities filled in the past and it just didn't feel right to me. Something smelled very fishy, and it was his pocket book! I would not recommend. They pushed the Sonicare toothbrush like no other. They said they had it at a cheaper price, but it was actually far more expensive. I have been to dentists for YEARS and have never had an experience like this, ever. The dental hygienist kept telling me that I probably had a gum disease and I needed a deep cleaning for extra $$$$. The dental assistant asked me very invasive questions about my New Years, which as a patient, made me uncomfortable. After simply asking for my records, the office manager called me crying and said they were "taken aback" by my yelp review. They called me a total of three times only to remain defensive and try to keep my business. At that point, I stopped answering. He stands behind his "work" to get every dime out of insurance that he can. Who checks yelp every minute? Thats CREEPY! I was very uncomfortable. I WILL BE seeking a second opinion. I've been in to First Hill Dental now for a couple of cleanings and several fillings, and I would highly recommend it. The office is gorgeous, with 270 degree views of downtown, Mt. Rainier, and Capitol Hill, and the staff is very welcoming and professional. I've had a couple cleanings, and needed several fillings. Dr. Singh was very communicative in explaining my treatment options, and was conservative in his recommendations. His table manners are great, and he is very gentle in doing his work. I have been seeing Doctor Eftehari now for over 6 years and couldn't be happier. I switched to Dr. Eftehari because my family dentist was gearing up to retire and could never get me in. I was given the recommendation to see Dr. Eftehari by a friend and am so glad I made the switch. First, her dental office is Beautiful! The atmosphere is inviting, relaxing, extremely clean and well maintained. The decor is very trendy and warm. As someone who is completely dental phobic, her office and staff make me feel relaxed and comfortable. Dental Hygiene - I have seen numerous hygienists in this office, and all are very gentle and use the most up-to-date instruments and technology to make the process painless, and fast. Dr. Eftehari - I cannot say enough good things about her and her practice. These days it is very hard to find a Dentist who truly cares about her patients and their overall comfort. She is all about preventive care and her recommendations have all helped me maintain good dental health. She suggested I do a night guard as I am a clencher and grinder (which eventually will cause gum recession and cracked teeth). I was hesitant at first, but it was probably the best investment I have ever made. I no longer have any of the issues that have stemmed from not wearing a night guard (gum recession, cracked teeth, sensitivity and head aches) and I have her to thank. Also, in response to a few peoples comments referring to her as being "focused on making money" or being a "gold digger". Dr. Eftehari has always come up with a dental plan for myself and others (who I have referred) that is reasonable and simple. She tries all avenues possible to cure a dental situation without taking drastic and expensive measures. She goes above and beyond and takes the extra time and care to ensure your comfort and ease. My son's were going to previous dentist which were taken over by new people. The service is polite but not friendly. The pricing they have is absurd. All justified by the law on insurance in this state which enacted monopoly pricing. There are dentists that do not participate in this price fixing. Avoid this office unless you have insurance. The best dental experience I've had in my life! I found Dr. Singh and his staff to be extremely kind, gentle, and professional! The front of the office staff made appointment scheduling and insurance/billing as incredibly simple and smooth as ever. Dr. Singh clearly knows his craft - throughout my initial appointments he was extremely kind and transparent. His hygienists were definitely very-well experienced, gentle, and always left me feeling like I was in good hands. The office itself was the most state of the art dental facility I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The breathtaking panoramic views of the city add to this spa-like dental experience. The receptionist at the front desk is super bubbly and nice. The staff is somewhat young and inexperienced. My time with the actual dentist was very quick and some of the questions I had about dentistry options were passed over. If you miss an appt, they will charge you almost $100 even if you're sick.
