So mixed review here. The packers get a 3 maybe a 2, the movers get a 5. The packers arrived with 4 guys, all nice and chatty, but when they dismantled a library, they forgot to segregate the shelves marked for destination 1 vs destination 2. 50 boxes all marked just "books". Had to open sort and relabel every single box. They packed a fragile turntable under a heavy amplifier in the same box, with one piece of packing paper between them. One unlabeled box was full of glass and crystal vases, with zero packing material between them. Some packers did their job right, some of the crew were idiots. By contrast, the separate crew that came and moved stuff were careful, efficient, and got the job. Done under budget and in less time than planned. These two team should talk to each other read more

I couldn't recommend this company more! My move was actually fun! Emerson, the ginger leader of my moving team was amazingly courteous and thorough. Steve, was the gentleman who disconnected all of my electronics and placed them lovingly in a box in such a way that it only took me 15 minutes to reinstall my home theater system one I got to my new place. The other two guys, Kyle and Tanner took care of my things add if they were their own. The only thing is, THESE GUYS ARE NOT CHEAP! But if you want bargain basement pick up laborers at. Wow do I have a LOT to say! Just for background, a little story first. My husband and I decided to sell our house in 2019. We have kids and pets so I convinced my husband to move into a temporary apartment. First move. Then, our house didn't sell for a whole summer so we moved back into our house. Second move with First Due. Then, as soon as we moved back, it sold. We couldn't find a house we wanted in time, so back to a temporary apartment. Third move with First Due. Then, a couple of months later we found a house. Fourth and final move with First Due. That was 6 months ago. We were completely happy. Sure there was a few things that got broken. Nothing major so we didn't report for reimbursement. It took us a good 6 months to fully unpack, so it's too late now--but things are missing. Glassware, dishwater, memorabilia, personal care items. Weird, random things. Lesson learned: INVENTORY your boxes and insist they check them off as they go. Otherwise they are courteous, prompt, hardworking, team oriented, self-starting an punctual. Ideal really. The one thing that really is hard is we lost my grampa's artillery box from WWII. That's a tough one. Good luck and just inventory!!!! read more

There's nothing negative to say about this moving experience. All 4 movers were efficient, friendly, and considerate. We were picky about protecting our floors at both locations and they had a plan for each. We appreciated that there were no surprises or hidden costs. I feel like, over and over again, communication with people that involve house maintenance is really difficult...like with contractors, repair people, estimates, etc. But there was no difficulty with First Due...communication was super easy. We don't plan on moving anytime soon, but First Due would definitely be our people if we were. 10/10 definitely recommend. read more

We had the pleasure of using First Due Movers on the 12/13th Aug and we could not have been more satisfied. Tony and his crew called ahead of arriving to let us know their ETA. When they arrived, they were super friendly and immediately we felt at ease with the team. Walkthroughs were done throughout the packing day so we were fully aware of exactly where we were within the packing schedule. They were ahead of time, so started dismantling most of our furniture which was supposedly a job to be done the following day but they wanted to get as much done so moving day could be smoother. Ended packing day ahead of time schedule and so our estimate was reduced in time costs. Moving day went just as smoothly and the team were again friendly and we loved the banter going around between the team. We really felt that they all got on together and worked well together. Tony throughout the whole 2 days kept us thoroughly informed, was so professional and rallied his team on with his light hearted humour! He truly was remarkable throughout the whole process. Our final bill came in under our original estimate because they are true to their word when they say it is an estimate and you pay only for the actual time, use of materials and people power on the day. These guys did a masterful job of moving us! Number one, they were very very professional. Number two they took great care with our personal effects all of the larger pieces of furniture were wrapped in blankets and then wrapped in plastic before they were moved. They were organized and fast. Moving is such a stressful event, they came in took control and got the job done!
